  • Aurora is a much bigger city than many people realize. At about 163 square miles, it’s larger than Denver and has a population of nearly 400,000 people. Because of this, you might not be able to get away with not renting a car when you’re visiting Aurora. You will want to think about trying to book Ace car rentals in Aurora to make it easier to get around while you’re in town.
  • Aurora was recently named one of the happiest places in Colorado. It also landed in the top 50 on a list of the happiest places in the entire country. This may lead you to believe that you won’t need to invest in extra insurance for a rental car through Ace when you make a reservation. Generally speaking, Aurora is a very safe place to drive. But the weather can take a turn for the worst at times in Aurora, with the city getting rain, snow, or sleet on about 80 days annually on average. Adding on extra insurance coverage for an Ace rental car will provide you with the protection you need if you end up driving in inclement weather.
  • In addition to being one of the happiest cities around, Aurora has also earned a reputation for being bike-friendly. The city is home to more than 100 bike trails. For this reason, you will want to be on the lookout for people on bikes when you book Ace car rentals in Aurora and start driving around in the city. Avoid driving too fast while you’re in the Aurora area since you will be sharing the city’s streets with people on bikes all the time.
  • You can spend weeks visiting Aurora and not get bored thanks to all the fun activities the city has to offer. It’s filled with everything from beautiful parks like Cherry Creek State Park to museums like the Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. But if you decide you would like to explore other parts of Colorado, you can get to places like Denver and Colorado Springs in under an hour in most cases. Just check with Ace to see if you can book a rental car that is good on gas to keep your travel costs down.
  • Book your rental car from Ace in Aurora at least 1 day before your trip in order to get a below-average price.

The service during pickup was not good. The customer service representative was very aggressive and tried to get us to buy more insurance through ACE although we purchased additional insurance through Kayak for this rental and told her this. She also tried to get us to buy a policy ($15/day) to cover tolls in Denver and the surrounding area, warning us if we didn't, they'd charge us $50 plus all the tolls. We told her we weren't planning on being in Denver for more than a day and she said 'you're just not getting the math. This will save yo money.' However, we soon discovered toll roads (or express lanes) are completely optional (and rarely save any time) in Colorado. It was very deceptive and she was not friendly. Also, we booked an SUV and the car we got hardly qualified as an SUV and was not great at handling the roads/elevations in Colorado (it was more of a city car). I'll never use ACE again.Reviewed 7 Jun 2026

I was not allowed to pickup a vehicle as they said it couldn’t be driven out of state. This was never mentioned at time of reservation. We asked for a refund which I have yet to receive and will probably never receive. I would never ever recommend ACE even to an enemy. We had to make a sudden change for Enterprise and they were very helpful and Enterprise even gave us an upgrade. Avoid ACE if at all possible, they may have cheaper rates but the service is horrendous, and they still owe me a refund. Buyer beware read the fine print online always. We originally went through Kayak, which then connected to Expedia, and finally to ACE. ACE and Expedia both have said they can’t give me a refund for services they never provided. I feel robbed and this ruined an already somber trip for a memorial service for family. Thanks for taking our money for nothing you thieves. Never again! Worst rental experience ever, and I’ve even driven a rental years ago from a major chain that had dog hair and urine in the back hatch area. ACE Rental Car is hands down the new winner for number one worst rental experience ever. And I didn’t even touch keys for one of their vehicles because I never picked one up, we asked for our refund in person at time of pickup. Give me my money back you evil people! A good company would make this right. All I’ve gotten is the runaround and rejection emails blaming me or the other company either Expedia or ACE. You need to make your contracts more clear so people know the rental is only allowed to travel within the state rented. I can understand not driving out of the country, but sorry we mentioned we were going out of state, we could have lied and you would have likely tracked us by gps anyway and screwed us over even worse with some stupid hidden fee. Thank you so little for the added stress financially and mentally. I hope you go out of business! The people of Denver don’t need more crime! D O N O T R E N T F R O M A C EReviewed 26 Apr 2026

Steer clear of Matt. He lied to us and told us we need to get liability insurance through the company because it’s the law. I heard him tell another customer that Colorado is a no-fault state to incentivize him to get insurance through Ace. We told Matt we have through our insurance and he tried telling us Colorado has a higher minimum. It was ridiculous. He looked so lethargic and apathetic. He hung out on his phone while getting our papers signed. Totally not impressed. I saw him scam two other customers as I sat there while my husband got our car. The cherry on top was he was flirting with two older women, who had no idea they just got scammed into buying additional insurance. And at the end he handed them a paper asking them to write a 5 star review. Very smart, ask the people who don’t know they just spent a few hundred dollars. Anyway, I definitely would pay the extra few bucks to rent from a reputable company and not deal with companies that hire people like Matt.Reviewed 26 Aug 2025

In the middle of nowhere, not near any of the other rental companies. The vehicle was dented and damaged. The seat belt indicator was faulty, and the seat belt had to be buckled when no one was sitting in the seat. Seat indicators are related to the airbag system and therefore the car should have never been rented. Hidden fees for everything, including a $375 charge if you wanted to use a license plate toll. I was also charged $12.99 for one gallon of gas because they said that I did not return it, "completely full".Reviewed 4 Aug 2025

I liked that Ace filmed my vehicle as I left the lot so that any damage was documented. The processing time of picking up the car could be improved. Just copy Hertz!Reviewed 31 Mar 2025

The agent at ACE counter in Denver was very poor. He was more concerned with trying to sell me the toll pass which was a rip off. He didn't go over contract.Reviewed 18 Mar 2025

There was no option in the booking search function to specify an AWD or 4WD . We were flying into Colorado to go skiing. We got upsold for US$40 per day to an AWD. Really had no choice at that point. The upgraded car was great. We booked through QEED so it was probably more their issue than ACE'sReviewed 4 Mar 2025
