I had confirmation that a car would be available but when I arrived they didn’t have a car available and sent me to another location 20 minutes drive away which caused us to miss our ferry reservation. When I placed my reservation through KAYAK, the reservation showed a noon pickup and noon drop off, which is not what I put in. I couldn't modify it online or over the phone, and Ace couldn't modify it because it was a third party. The only thing I could do was delete it, and Ace was going to give me a much higher rate to reschedule. In the end, I reserved straight through Ace at a price almost as cheap, and then deleted my reservation. Luckily I caught it over 24 hours before I was scheduled to pick it up.Reviewed 25 Sep. 2023

Pickup experience was awkward, between the two stop shuttle process and the unconventional check in process. Seemingly charged way more than expected. Didn't have the vehicle we booked, the one we got was missing front cameras/sensors, I assume from a cheap repair.Reviewed 25 Sep. 2023

I would have appreciated more transparency around the eventual cost of the vehicle. I was initially quoted $290 when I reserved it, and was told that would be the amount when I picked it up. Alas, I was presented with a daily "Geo Zone" fee— something I wasn't notified of when renting the car. I dropped the car off after requesting an additional day (I tried to do so at pick-up, but was told I'd have to call to extend), and was charged a total of $457. Additionally, I thought I would be renting the car from ACE, a company I've heard of, but was surprised to learn that I'd actually be renting it from Drivo (a company I've never heard of). I was also told I could receive $25 back, if I submitted a Google review, prior to even leaving the lot with the car The lack of transparency made me very uncomfortable. In the future, I'll stick to (albeit sometimes pricey) companies I know, like Hertz.Reviewed 21 Sep. 2023
