It was fine. What they should in the St John’s location is ask where you are going to go with the vehicle. Newfoundland has bad roads outside of the Trans Canada Highway and specifically north towards St. Anthony. Putting run flats on a Mercedes on roads with potholes large enough to swallow a truck is a bad idea but renting that car is likewise a liability. We ended with a total wheel failure and needed to get a new car, an SUV, for the duration of the trip. So asking would have been a good idea.Reviewed 31 May 2025
