Very efficient company. Boarding was on time, flight left on time and landed early. Snacks were delightful. Staff wee friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience.
Flew from Halifax to Toronto with a stop in Ottawa. Once we landed in Ottawa were informed the flight was canceled. Claimed personnel reasons. Doesn’t make sense since we already flew to Ottawa remained on the plane for the continued flight to Toronto.

So it was a constant reminder of dial up.... 3) waiting for electrical: Upon landing and taxi-ing to the ramp, the pilot was advised that there was no electrical to support the plane after he turned off the engines. So good that he waited, thank you pilot, and not so good as it was another unpleasant item on the plane ride."

Instead, they tried to get everyone to board with luggage in hand, then once they realized there was not enough space they asked people to hold on to their luggage while they came through the plane to tag it and stow it below - very inefficient and made the boarding process crazy as people tried to make their way around luggage that was sitting in the aisles."

Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to re-book, plus re-booking hotel along the way."

They seem to always cancel the 9pm flight from Thunder Bay to Toronto because not full enough. And the last flight is over sold so we have to stay the night in Toronto. Then don't offer the 9pm flight. Passengers have other commitments in their life's. We don't need AC to just hold us over for the night because one of their flights is have empty."

The airlines apparent made several changes between my trip and I was threaten with additional bag fees when my ticket was very clear for two carry-ons and to checked bags, which also confirmed when I confirmed my seat request. After I was required to check my bags, I realized my earbuds were in the bag and the flight attendant did not give me a pair and actually told me I could purchase a pair...REALLY!I just did a 15 hour flight from Dubai, you were delayed by 2 hours on my last connecting flight and you can't comp a pair of .25 cent earbuds."
Cons: "Kiosk option wasn't supporting the baggage check policy, resulting in passenger were unable to print baggage tag and had to wait in long line over 1.5 hrs to check bag with staff. They also understated. It took me over 2 hrs to get throug check in process, not counting 45mins + through security check and custom. I had asked staff to expedite the process. C my flight was boarding. Staff could care or less and walked away. I had to run to my gate and almost miss my flight. Also, I was told that 1st checked bag was complimentary as this is a express aircraft. Staff wouldn't honor that. Come to find out as I entered the aircraft that they made many passengers do the complimentary gate check anyway. Rude and unaccompdating staff."

I didn't get a reminder check-in email when I was flying out and that worried me a bit that there may be something wrong with my reservation. It also irritated me that because I had booked my flight through Kayak and not Air Canada directly I was not able to make any changes to the reservation online - I had to call their reservation phone number (from another country) and be put on hold for 20 minutes (so needless to say it was an expensive phone call)."

From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."

The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"

I know there are understandable, although not always pleasant, occurences and situations that cause or contribute to things. But this shuttle flight was a disaster of poor airline planning. The 1.5 hour flight kept getting delayed again and again and again. The assigned gate got changed 4 times and we found ourselves having to walk with our bags from one to another. It finally took off at 12:30 at night with an ORIGINAL departure time of either 8:40 or thereabouts. You're talking about a 4 hour delay. Weather? Raining, but nothing that was serious. It was just, well, raining. No explanation was ever given for the delay although, uhh, complimentary bags of pretzels were handed out. I felt bad for the ground and flight crew. They had to deal with us less-than-pleased passengers and, really, the delay was beyond their control. Which leads me to believe poor scheduling by Air Canada of available planes was a reason. It was all very, very bad and, given a previous flight 10 days ago that took 5 hours instead of the scheduled 1.5, we'll never use Air Canada again."

After three hours prople decided enough was enough and started going to the restroom. The crew would get all bent out of shape and get on the PA yo please stay in your seats and not use the restrooms at this time. Really!! Well that didnt happen. The only thing they give you is one free drink. No penuts, cookies or pretzels. If you want food you have to pay for it. I sat by the window and my window was all greasy. I couldent really see out of it. I did use the rest room and it was pretty clean."

Midway through the flight, the plane looked like a pigsty with garbage everywhere. When serving the meals, the stewardess just said to everyone, "You want it or not" and moved quickly with many people wondering why she was behaving so rudely. In addition, we couldn't get clear information about the baggage allowance. This is partially due to booking through Kayak where they don't tell you the baggage limit and some of the flights were code share flights even though all were with Air Canada. Couldn't tell if we had 1 or 2 bags included. This didn't help with our packing. In the end we had 2 bags and wish we bought more stuff."

Cons: "The processing of Air Canada passengers to the connecting Gates and through Customs for USA international flights was a nightmare. It was very disorganized, with hundreds of passengers herded like cattle, poor communication, customs slips not provided on the AC Flight before landing so as to be completed in advance. There was staff shortage, and not done in a timely manner so as to make your connecting Flight. It has truly been a most stressful experience for me this and each time I have to go through Toronto to make a connecting flight , and I will avoid this flight plan in the future at all cost."

Cons: "Long delay, poorly described by the company (was it bad weather - no sign of it - or was it an air traffic control issue, as I think I heard at one point? The seating in these CRJ 100 is cramped, making it difficult to stay seated or to get up, or to move in any way. My neighbor across the aisle kept coughing very loudly for the duration, not using cough drops nor a handkerchief. Inches away from my face. No escaping, no dozing possible. I'll carefully avoid flights on CRJ-100s in the future."

We could have boarded - been told it was because of luggages that could not connect. Lie. - clear case of over booking - disguised so Air Canada wouldn't pay for it"

Pros: "this YOW-BOS segment is a relatively short flight in a tight squeeze. often this flight departs late, but this time we were well on time and arrived ahead of schedule. this results in happy passengers."

Pros: "The flight was short and sweet, and the views were nice. It's hard to complain about any part of the flight. The intercom for announcements had a lot of feedback, but the crew took it in stride."
Cons: "There wasn't anything wrong with the flight. Maybe a small bag of pretzels or something would have been good, but there's probably not enough time to eat them anyway. Regarding the Vancouver airport, there was no Tim Hortons accessible from the international terminal, which was a huge bummer."

Pros: "Small aircraft on Air Canada Jazz from Ottawa to Montreal. Ok because it was on 20 minutes."

Cons: "HORRIBLE SEAT. Backing onto the toilets. 1) No possibility to recline on a 5 and a half hour flight! 2) Flushing toilets behind me. Extra upset since I am a frequent flyer and Aeroplan member"

Cons: "One day before the flight day I received E-mail for booking but When I say i have an US green card and Japanese passport they told me to go to airport next day for booking. Next day I went to ticket counter earlier then I was told to get Canadian ETA online. It took almost 2 hours and I missed airplane then I bought next day ticket so I had to stay overnight at YVR airport. PDX Canada air counter person did not have enough knowledge about getting ETA."
Cons: "We got caught up in a huge traffic tie up and ended up at Air Canada approximately 55 minutes before our flight was to depart. The agent informed us the system had been shut down and to call the posted number. After being placed on hold for 30 minutes, they were unwilling to work with us. Unless you consider an additional $4000 for two one way tickets some type of assistance. Note: the original tickets were approximately $230 each."
Cons: "The only issue was with a pair of children kicking the seats. Was a parenting problem, not a flight oroblem"

Pros: "Boarded early and flight only had about 15 people aboard. Ottawa to Montreal is only about 15 minutes in the air and about 30 gate to gate - so not much to say. Flight was smooth, but for short flights you have to disembark outside. Thankfully it's April."
Pros: "Not even a bag of pretzels! Step up your food game Air Canada. The announcements were far too loud and the entertainment system was glitchy."

Cons: "2.5 hr late departure, originally stated as a 30min delay which was never achievable seeing as they knew the plane hadn't even left Boston yet."
Cons: "I found out they switched the time of the flight for 12 hours later than what I bought. I received one email and the time was in military time. I think it's criminal to change the flight with this big of a change. Also no confirmation of if it was received. I planned my trip and was totally thrown for a loop with this dramatic of a change. I'll never fly air Canada again nor will my family."
Pros: "I loved the small plane. Plenty of power, smooth flight, easy on and off and baggage pick-up. Very easy procedures at customs. Thank you."

Cons: "The flight was 3 hours late departing from Montreal. During that time there were several gate changes. The flight was overbooked and many people were required to take a bus to Quebec City instead of flying. Air Canada made no attempt to keep people informed or offer any type of compensation. I expected better from Canada's national carrier."

Cons: "Lack of carry-on space on the planes. Very small overhead compartments. The flight was noisy with a propeller plane."

Cons: "How does someone who books out 2 months in advance end up on standby without knowing it? I figured it out only because I asked the Air Canada service rep in the original airport to print out boarding passes for the next leg of the flight. I paid full price for the tickets, refused to pay the extra $15/seat to pick a standard economy passenger seat and am relegated to standby. Very poor business practice with even worse communication to the consumer."

Cons: "Cancelled due to "weather," although other flights were still going to this destination. And because they labeled it as a weather cancellation they gave us no vouchers for anything. They had initially rebooked me for a flight 2 days later...and the flight I ended up taking now included a layover and brought me to the furthest airport in my area. Highly doubt I'll fly air canada again."

Cons: "The aircraft had no charging ports for any electronic equipment, and regular carry on luggage was still sent in as a checked bag, and when we arrived they put all the bags in an elevator shaft, opened it and walked away, and just made us all grab our own things...I understand not every airline should be the same exact thing...but did they not think about the customers perception and experience? It made me immediately think of other airlines I would choose next time.."

Cons: "No one told me I had to exit and enter via U.S. customs at Ottawa - so that was a near fail - figured it out with time but then the ongoing flight was delayed an hour anyway. Worst, I somehow left my passport on the plane or in Ottawa gate and air canada is just uncontactable- I think their chat and phone are outsourced to India - no useful information or help. Big nightmare for me. My fault perhaps but their singular refusal to help or communicate was terrible. Sad."
Pros: "We were not happy with the charges for changing our flight, and paying for the difference of the flights. A week prior to the flight, we had to change the flight dates because of work commitments. We had to to pay an additional $650 to change the flight, which was more than the original fare."
