Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Pros: "Very pleasant flight; excellent entertainment options to while away the time. Excellent crew: food and comfort as good as it gets these days in Economy."
Cons: "Boarding was confusing. Announcements were difficult to hear in the terminal; there was a step requiring all passengers to queue up as if boarding but instead it was a passport/boarding pass check. The two queues were not labeled, there was much line-switching, and the passport-check lines blocked the terminal for travelers for other flights... The incoming plane was late; we wondered why this passport check could not have proceeded while we waited instead of delaying our boarding once our plane arrived."
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Cons: "The flight left almost 1 hour late because paperwork wasn't signed off"
Cons: "2h and 4h30 h late"
Pros: "The food was decent and the snack was good too -- a small hot pizza."
Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"
Pros: "Seating was fine on their "normal" flights."
Cons: "Regarding Air Canada Rouge service: If you are over 6' in height your knees will not fit in the assigned space."
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Friendly and helpful staff. Smooth flight and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We didn't like all the walking to get to and from the plane in Terminal 2, Heathrow. Anywhere else in the world would transport people by bus if it was going to be a twenty minute walk to the departure gate."
Pros: "cruising slightly high to avoid turbulence, the way from Toronto to Winnipeg we were flying on altitude 26,000 and then 30,000 feet. on west jet we were flying on altitude 39,000 feet with less turbulence. thanks"
Pros: "Leg room is comfortable"
Cons: "Flight had one and half hour delay. I did not get E-mail reminder for Check-in, for my return flight from Toronto."
Cons: "Same movies"
Pros: "Food good crew great."
Cons: "Cramped seats and full plane."
Pros: "The flight is not packed, so rather comfortable"
Cons: "Being next to toilets at bulkhead. People queing for bathroom in the extra leg space. I was on the outside seat and people constantly brushed past me and often grabbed hold of the moveable TV set in the dark to steady themselves knocking it. I paid extra money and had more problems. Listened to constant bathroom flushing and odors. Not ideal!"
Pros: "The saftey"
Cons: "Food"
Pros: "Check in was excellent"
Cons: "Flight was 4 and half hours late for weather and mechanical reasons. Airline responded very well but such a long delay is annoying"
Pros: "On time or early"
Pros: "On the plus side, the service was great."
Cons: "There is just not enough space in the seats! I am not a tiny person and my trip was not helped by the fact that the seats are too narrow to comfortably seat people larger than a size 10!"
Pros: "The friendly service."
Cons: "When my baggage arrived a zippered pocket was open and a an antique compass that my father (who just passed away) left me was taken. I contacted Air Canada who said that they couldn't do anything about it, they only allow claims for lost baggage. I was heartbroken, and there is nothing Air Canada can do about securing passengers baggage from thieves. Very disappointed with the lack of support with this issue."
Pros: "As it has been for the past 20 years or so, the crew look fairly unhappy and act distant. The same at the check-in counter. The man next to the info/help AC desk told me that he does not have 'fragile' stickers and that the desk is for wheel-chair people - though he was doing nothing, and the woman next was helping a customer with something complicated. SHE had to turn around and ask him to look under the papers, and find me the 'fragile' stickers.... I do not like AC service for the past many years. I do have to say that the flight (technically) was good."
