Avis had a huge line of customers and only three individual serving them. We waited between an hour and a half and two hours and then decided to leave and take a Lyft when we realized we probably at least had another hour left to wait. This is Unacceptable.Reviewed 19 Sep 2024

I tried getting a ride from the airport and as I was walking up to the bus the driver closed the doors I was knocking on the door and they drove away. When I got to Avis they informed me that they couldn’t rent to me because my current license had a hole in it. Even though I showed proof that it was still a valid license on the DMV’s website. I rented from the DIA location even though I wasn’t traveling in from a flight. The person dropping me off couldn’t find an appropriate place to drop me off without driving over the strips. They ended up dropping me off on the street. Next, when I got in the vehicle, it was filthy. There was coffee spilled all over the dash and both front doors. Additionally there was empty water bottles and trash throughout the entire vehicle. I can detail exactly where the previous renter took the vehicle based on the remnants left behind. Lastly, the windshield was covered in big guts. If I plan to rent a vehicle, I don’t expect to have to detail it before I use it.
