Anas was very assistive. But I was told last minute that a Tacoma wouldn’t be rented to me because I’m under 25, this wasn’t mentioned to me beforehand. There were all hidden fees that I didn’t see when booking, so that was disappointing. Overall, wouldn’t book with budget again.Reviewed 28 Nov. 2023

2.25 hours at “Fast Track” for pick up. Car was not clean. Was told the car was low on oil therefore was told to drive over to the gas pumps & request for oil to be added. When at the gas pumps I was told they don’t do that & the area that does that maintenance had left for the day I returned to the counter as we were driving over 1,200 miles & did not want oil problems. I had many conversations with the manager & got no where. Manager offered a 2 wheel drive car to us & I. rejected that due to the fact that we were driving thru 3 mountain passes & a mountain canyon in October & we had also booked an “all wheel drive” vehicle originally. Manager left the counter many times to check on the inventory available & to call his boss who was off site. We got no where & finally the manager brings another employee(below him) to the counter who was so rude & did nothing but try to harass & intimidate me. Finally , I called my husband & he said to just take the original car assigned (dirty) & “needing oil” & that we would add oil. The Manager & I then went to the car & checked the oil gauge on the dash which is the oil temperature gauge not the oil volume gauge - (which at checkout, the clerk told me needed oil!) This was a nightmare & just the worst experience I’ve ever had when renting a car. Our trip was delayed 2.25 hours. The manager was argumentative & his other employee was rude, disrespectful & did nothing but try to intimidate & harass me. Both very unprofessional. In my experience the manager should be doing something to right the wrong & to correct the problem - not threaten to cancel the car rental & leave you standing at the pickup counter with no car -when you are supposed to be starting your trip. The manager offered to waive the tank fill up upon drop off in another state but failed to add it in the computer documentation. Before I left the pickup facility, I requested the manager document the “waive tank fill” on the paperwork he had given me & add his signature & the date. While on the road & traveling, we made multiple calls to Budget customer service, the pickup site & drop off site to confirm that the “waive tank fill” had been entered into the computer contract - which it had not been. Upon drop off, the out of state facility had a few questions but did honor the hand written “waive tank fill”Reviewed 17 Oct. 2023

This was an extremely poor experience until we got our car. We'd really like to have some kind of credit issued to us from Budget since it up-ended our day. First of all, the bus to pick us at the Denver airport was packed as it came infrequently compared to other rental agency buses. Secondly, when we arrived to Budget, we were directed into the Avis line/counter. The line was horrendously long and kept getting longer. After waiting in line for 30 minutes, we received our confirmation, and were directed outside in the hot sun to another line, where we had to wait another 30 minutes to get our car. The whole process, which is usually quick, took about 1.5 hours, putting us behind schedule in our day and our meetup with other parties we were traveling with. Thank you for following up with us with regard to our poor experience.Reviewed 6 Oct. 2023

Cars smelled like marijuana, we went through two cars before we left the lot, key fobs were dead- we were told to change the batteries ourselves- first car needed an oil change. The line was out the door and not enough reps to handle it. When we found issues with the car it was very hard to track down someone to help.Reviewed 2 Oct. 2023

When I rented the car in Denver, I told them that I would like to add my 26-year-old daughter the next day as an extra driver at our next stop, Salt Lake City. They said no problem. In downtown Salt Lake, we went to a Budget office that said they couldn't pull up our contract to amend it, and advised us to go to an Avis (parent company) office up the street, who they thought would have access to the account. The Avis office also had the same problem, and suggested we go to the SLC airport office. Too far, too much time already wasted, I gave up on adding her to the contract. Other than that, the rental went smoothly with pick up at Denver airport and drop off at SFO airport. The RAV-4 was perfect for our needs.Reviewed 24 Sep. 2023

Two things could have been improved: 1. After making an initial reservation (daily rate of $66/day), I initiated action to update my reservation with flight info, etc. and Budget automatically refreshed my daily rate (up to $77/day). And I received an email from Budget thanking me for updating my info! I did not appreciate the increase from the original agreement. 2. The vehicle I received at the Denver airport turned out had brakes that shuddered when applied. It was particularly irritating as we traveled in the mountains on I-70 west to Frisco then south to Buena Vista.Reviewed 18 Oct. 2022
