We arrived at 2am. I wasn’t happy that the person at the counter tried to upsell me the insurance coverage. Also, they gave me the wrong car assignment and we had to go back to the office and get that straightened out. We tried to drive out of the facility but there was no parking lot attendant to let us out. We waited half an hour and went back to the office to let them know. The absolute worst car rental ever. I travel 3 weeks out of the month for work, so I’ve had countless rental cars. This one smelled like BO, car wash covered in scratches and dents, was missing a hubcap, the glass was all filthy from the inside and there was old mud built up everywhere else. It was so chaotic picking it up I just wanted to get out of there. No one knew what they were doing, total chaos. Definitely won’t use this company again.Reviewed 17 Jul. 2022

It was terrible! They didn’t let me rent the car. They told me that my cc was not good, after calling our friends who are living in the USA, they also did not let them take their cc. I offered to pay a deposit of 1000$ and of course pay upfront, but they didn’t let me. Verry unfriendly and not helpful for looking for a solution.Reviewed 1 Jul. 2022

The car and service were generally fine. The breaks felt a bit rough and I had to fill the tires during my rental because the pressure was low. My main complaint is that the estimated taxes and surcharges were WAY off reality. I ended up paying almost $1130 for a $585 estimate. Insane.Reviewed 27 Jun. 2022

Budget Denver international airport tried to rip me off. Young lady with plastic nails, tattoos, and hair extensions told me I HAD to pay for the toll waiver. Um, no. And I clearly told them no extras, but they tried to sneak in an additional $30 per day for the Damage Loss Waiver. Again, um, no. Scam artists staffed by seedy people with dubious morals. It is hard to hear Budget representatives behind the plastic shields and with the other noise in the room. I kept having to ask the person to repeat his questions/statements and although I know he was getting annoyed with me I just couldn't hear him.Reviewed 14 May 2022

Budget did not have the car we reserved (small economy). They told us to wait outside in 40-degree 20-mph winds (Denver) for 15 minutes while a car was being prepared. Ended up being 45 minutes before before I finally complained that no one had brought us the car. After more waiting, they gave us a gas-guzzling SUV that we neither wanted nor needed. With the price of gas, we ended up paying an $30 to 40 more in gas than we would have otherwise. Two thumbs down.Reviewed 3 May 2022

Hidden fees. I paid an additional $23 for Roadside assistance that wasn't mentioned when picking up the car. Then, there was an additional $110 in various fees for airport, tax and ACE fees that were hidden as well. Be careful to get a detailed listing. My initial prepayment was for $316 for five days and I ended up paying $462!!!!!Reviewed 12 Apr. 2022
