The line was outside inthe heat and direct sun. It took a long time bc there weren’t enough staff. I requested an economy car but ended up with a huge massive 4-foot truck for one person! What a fossil fuel waste! When I looked at my reservation, it magically delineated a “mystery car” I did not agree to that. I loath surprises and would never seek t mystery car. You still have over charged me $160. I spent more than 2.5 hours trying to rectify this all the way up to management, and even after signing a 1 way contract from STL to SPI somehow you (AVIS) put in DFW and added an extra day even thought the car was used for a total of 10 hours from pick up to drop off to the location I contracted for...not DFW. I will seek remedies through the Attorney Generals offices of both states. I believe you regularly fraudulently over charge clients in similar manners and then exasperate and wear them down transfering them numerous times to bogus other transfers and finally making them give up. Disgusting and not without consequences and accountability. Quoted and signed for total charges of $144 and then charged $920 for a 10 hour rental!!!!!!!!! Also talked down to repeatedly like an idiot... How is this for a review? Imagine if this happened to you or someone you care about. SHAME ON AVIS! Absolute Fraud!Reviewed 22 Aug. 2023

when calling to verify pickup times, we were given different messages EVERY single time. the agents we spoke with clearly did not know their business and caused us much duress. Our plane arrived after their closing time of 10pm.... we were told not to worry, someone would wait for us; another time we were told no one would be there to give us our car and we should cancel and try to find a different rental company; another person told us they had to file a request for someone to stay late for us and that they would submit it for us and it would take 72 hours to get back to us with the answer, no one called us back, we called them, they said there was no answer so there probably would be no one there; another person said that everyone else we'd spoken to was mistaken and that there was a new policy that someone would stay until all customers with reservations picked up their cars so not to worry, etc, etc, etc, it was awfulReviewed 2 Jul. 2023

Busy night in the airport. Took forever to get a shuttle but several shuttles from other car rental companies came by as we waited. And the rental car was dirty. It was late at night so I didn't have time to ask them to reclean it.Reviewed 16 May 2023

Took 2 hours to get the car (1.5h in line to checkin + 30min waiting for the car after being told it would be brought to us). Car was dirty (even had dirty tissues/paper towels crumpled up in the doors. I won’t use Avis (or Budget, same line/counter/company) againReviewed 7 Sep. 2022
