Pros:The rental agent was friendly and helpful, but was working alone. There needed to be another agent present to move things along.Cons:I had to wait the better part of an hour before the lone rental agent was free. In other words, there was a line of 4 or 6 people, and one of them took a really long time.Reviewed 24 May 2021

Pros:I had a reservation I booked online And got a confirmation. Upon arriving and talking with the agent there he let me know that he had no vehicle at the time available for the reservation, I asked for any other vehicles if he had available for replacement, he said he was totally out of vehicles and that he had two reservations that he did not have any cars for. On my way out a lady was entering as she was the other reservation. She came out and got in her rental and drive off. Agent there obviously lied, performed discrimination and so unprofessional. This is a multiple time same agent had done something like this. Other time he had out a rental that was very dirty. Crumbs on chairs and sticky door handles, open drinks and face masks on the floor. WOULD NOT RENT FROM THERE ANYMORE UNTIL THEY REMOVE THIS AGENT!!!Cons:DO YOUR JOB OR DON’T BE THERE. CUSTOMERS ARE YOUR FIRST PRIORITIES.Reviewed 11 Aug. 2020

Cons:This was a one way rental from Corvallis to Portland OR. Car smelled smokey. We were not told Budget had no drop off at PDX so time was wasted going to the rental car garage, then exiting and finding the off site return. Agent in Corvallis was very helpful, reopening the office when we arrived a little late.Reviewed 4 Feb. 2020

Terrible customer service at Salem airport pickup/drop off.Cons:Indian man at counter made horrible mistakes which resulted in not just one but THREE credit cards having a hold for my rental charges...the only three cards I had on me. Had to have my wife Uber to the airport ($40) to bring me another card, as apparently the number/info won't work, he has to run it through his machine. Spent 2 hours trying to pick up a rental car at an airport that has zero customers. I was the only one there. I tried to extend my rental over the phone/online and was not allowed. I had to go back to the airport to turn in my car and rent another. Guess who was waiting at the counter? The Indian man. Guess who did the exact same thing to two credit cards even as I warned him he had done it previously? If renting a car in Salem, Oregon, do yourself a favor and go anywhere but Budget. This guy handles car and truck rentals for Budget and Avis. Steer clear.Reviewed 24 Aug. 2017

Road tripPros:Used car to help someone move so great to have cargo space without having to drive a truck. Lot of power.Cons:Car wasn't ready as reserved even though I arrived about 45 minutes past scheduled pickup time. Took it dirty, which was mostly on outside. Have our car awayPros:NothingCons:They said our kayak reservation didn't mean anything and they had given our car away and didn't have anything else to rent us. We were trapped without a ride or a car and had to walk around to other rental companies close by to try and find a car. The sales lady was rude and didn't seem to give any cares about us being stranded. Don't rent here or I guess on kayak since it doesn't mean anything to the rental companies.Reviewed 20 Mar. 2017
