The first car had bald tires that we weren’t comfortable driving on. We had already waited in line 25 minutes to get this car. Went back to tell them and was sent back upstairs into the airport to switch cars at the counter there. Attempted to tell them we were sent back in and they just basically ignored us. I finally stood in front of women at the counter as I wasn’t going to stand in line for 25 minutes again because they gave me a car that was unsafe to drive. While I stood there the two women talked poorly about another customer that had just left counter. Found that experience to be completely unprofessional. AWFUL customer service. We arrived five minutes after they closed due to being stuck on the runway for an hour… I called from the runway to let them know we were coming and they’re only answer was that I could book a new booking for tomorrow, but there is nothing that they could do to call down and ask them to stay five extra minutes tonight… I had two young children with me so I could not just get an Uber and basically their attitude was that’s too bad you can just be stuck in the airport. When I arrived, they no longer had the car I had rented available, I was told you need to "upgrade" to one available for an additional $40 per day. NO OTHER OPTIONS!!! I went next both over to Avis, and rented from them (cost me $8 more for the entire weekend) and left 20 minutes later. The only other person in the Budget line, also rented from else where. Would highly not recomend the Budget in Norfolk. When I flew out and walked past there line was again empty.Reviewed 11 Jul. 2023

The car had physical damage upon pick up which was documented via verbal communication and photographic evidence. I would have preferred a vehicle without damage yet was not offer a replacement vehicle. Or even an option to upgrade. Not certain if I would use or recommend Budget in the near future.Reviewed 23 May 2023

Waited in line for 45 minutes to find out the car I reserved and they confirmed was not available. I ended up getting an up charge to a different class of car because that was the only way I could get a car. For my extra money I got an old SUV that was clearly not cleaned from the previous customer. Certainly the last time I rent from Avis/Budget.Reviewed 19 May 2023
