Pros:The agent at Norfolk was so personable. She brought sunshine to an anxiety-riddled experience of going to the airport and trying to find things. I left the counter smiling.Cons:The car smelled like smoke especially when I removed the “sanitized” sticker. I didn’t have time to get a different vehicle.Reviewed 26 May 2021

Pros:The manager on duty who assisted when I picked up the car was fantastic. She had a line of clients that had been waiting well over an hour (myself included) to pick up their rentals. She was by herself and was calm, cool, and friendly.Cons:How was there only a single agent on duty with so many reservations on the books. The line easily extended over 2 hours for some.Reviewed 14 May 2021

Pros:The car droveCons:The pickup was TERRIBLE. First got there & the power was out. All of rental car companies were still working but hertz was not. Reserved a standard SUV online. They didn’t have one when I got there so they wanted to give me a smaller SUV. Went to the smaller SUV & tire was flat. Had to go back inside, wait on line again, then get a compact car. By the time I got the car, I was 3 hours behind. Experience was terrible & they only gave me a voucher for $60 to use in the future instead of refunding my money or at least knocking my price down. THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE FULL SIZED SUV! Tried to call customer service & got hung up on 5 times accidentally with no call back either time. Customer service was terrible and I feel like I have back problems due to the size of the car but I needed to get to my destination. Already submitted a complaint to the BBB & thinking of legal action.Reviewed 22 Mar. 2021

Cons:I reserved a small, compact car for decent gas mileage; was given a large van, a Pacifica. Front desk attendant seemed to be annoyed; I'd attribute this to the Law Enforcement tee I was wearing; there was no walk around the car to check for previous damage; no option to fill gas tank upon arrival at my location.Reviewed 28 Oct. 2020
