Cons:When we arrived at car rental I had to wait for a car that was much larger in size than I wanted. They weren't clear about any extra per mile fee or refill costs so I couldn't find put what to expect. They also told.me the wrong return time in Jerusalem so I ended up returning the car 20 minutes early without refilling the tank. There were also no signs in Jerusalem at the street level directing me where to find the lot for returning the car. I was luck that I didn't get a ticket for parking on the side of the street to run inside to find out where the lot entry was located.Reviewed 28 Sep. 2019

Pros:NothingCons:I waited in Tel Aviv to get the car for over a half hour in line then they rented a car that tons of damage on it which I had a mark down on a piece of paper and I had to take pictures and video with my phone so they know it wasn't something I did they said the car was spacious enough for seven people and three luggage is at least and there were no small seats the back the seats were tiny The trunk couldn't even hold my carriage then there are also some hidden fees that cost me a little bit more each day something about insurance that you have to have it didn't say that when I booked it here I wish I can get my money back for it definitely was not worth it for meReviewed 6 Sep. 2017

7 passener van MIGHT hold 5 people w little luggageCons:The photos and description of a full sized van were completely off base. there was 0 leg room, even for a child to sit in the back seat. and no luggage room for more than 1 suitcase. Who brings 7 people from the airport with 1 suitcase? no one. Then Budget only had a 9 passenger manual van available--at double the cost! Three different customers had to return to the counter from airport parking to complain about their cars during the 2-3 hour ordeal while we were waiting to tour the country after an international overnight flight. I changed companies at the airport. and I won't use this company again.Reviewed 9 Nov. 2017

Worst rental experience everCons:I rent cars often but this place was alwas trying to over charge you some extra fees. They're sneaky about everything and I wiukdntvtrust them. A usual rental car that runs bet. $50-$70 was about to get to over $100. Fees that no other rental office, budget or other then budget would charge you. Thumb down.Reviewed 25 Nov. 2016

Cons:The cost of the rental initially presented was about twice less that the final charge. Representative from the Budget Rental company refused to release the car for rent without the purchasing of the insurance even it is stating initially that it is not required. I even mentioned that our company has a corporate insurance contract with Budget I had to ay more that double ($303 vs $127). I had to take the car as I did not make any other arrangements and they knew that. The first car I received did not work so I had to change the car. Both of them had multiple damages so I had to spend the time to take the pictures of all these areas (actually all over the car).Reviewed 15 Feb. 2018

I will never rent from Budget in Israel ever againPros:When I reached the airport in Israel at 11:30 pm, the Budget representative at the airport told me my reservation was cancelled (which I did not). The next day, I called the main office in Tel Aviv and they confirmed that the reservation was cancelled by the "system". I called Budget international in the US and they told me my reservation is still good and I can get a car at the original price. 5 times back and forth and nothing. Budget Israel was willing to rent me another car but for almost double the price. The Israeli representative was bold enough to explain to me that when I make a reservation, it is only a request and until the Israeli side approves it, it is not confirmed. Total BS as confirmed by Budget Intercontinental. Once I had a confirmation number, it is a valid rental. Like I said, I will never rent from them again.Reviewed 1 Jan. 2017

Pick up and drop off was the issue.Pros:The car had plenty of trunk space to fit a wheelchair. It was a comfortable ride and inside was clean. It had several outside ding dents scratches but who cares. The women who served me at counter was not friendly and actually said "do you want to rent or not" filled by "you can go next counter to Avis " Murmured in Hebrew to her colleagues and made a nasty comment that I understood.Cons:In booking with Kayak the Budget Car site stated that pick up and drop off of automobiles are at the same terminal where you land which is terminal 1. So I reserved with Budget. The truth was you pick up at the terminal 1 but the drop off was at a complete different terminal, terminal 3. It was a huge problem because of the number of suitcases and the wheelchair. With the need to take a shuttle to the departure terminal. I needed much more time and leave an extra hour early. The car had no remote to open the locks and only the drivers side had a key, again not convenient when you have someone in a wheelchair. Had I known I would of reserved with another car company that offer pick up and drop off at same terminal.Reviewed 5 Feb. 2017

Budget is true to its name.Pros:Rate was great! Car was as described. Returning car was simple.Cons:When I arrived, I was the only person in the office in the car park and the person who provides contracts and keys acted like I was interrupting something far more important--like surfing Facebook. This is not a problem unique to Budget and another agency may have similar people working for them. (Though I've never experienced this at two other agencies from whom I've rented at this location in the previous year or more.) This "I'm just taking up space to get paid and don't bother me while I Facebook" attitude is pandemic to Israel. It is a bad first-impression. Professional international organizations should take more care to set standards of conduct for their staff and to hire people with enough professionalism to know that their jobs depend on the customers regardless of how difficult the customers might be throughout the day.Reviewed 5 Nov. 2015

Not worth the rental costPros:Nothing!Cons:1. No one was at the pickup location of car. New policy by budget. Many damages were on the cars that were not marked on papers. They told me to take photos. Wasted 2 hours in the process. No one at the desk seemed to care too much. 2. Radio in the car didn't work good. 3. When I return the car they looked for damages under the car that were not mine. I needed to argue not to billed about this. 4. A friend of mine had the same issues few days ago as well renting from the airport. Will never rent from them again. Renting a car supposed to be an easy pleasant experience. It's not about extorting as much money as possible from customer. Bad.Reviewed 5 Dec. 2017

Pros:The car was decently clean.Cons:The cars tires were all low on air the tire pressure indicator came on shortly after getting the car and we had to take care of it. The website said it would fit 5 people and luggage it most definitely did not the trunk barely fit one suitcase and we had to put the other on the back seat. Pickup took over an hour and a half they were extremely disorganized very aggravating situation. Drop off you kind of give them the car and they dont tell you anything and rush you to the terminal you have no way of knowing if there might be any issues until you are half way around the world. Very annoying. For some reason instead of just pying for the tools they charge you a $15 surcharge fee for the first toll that you hit why do they need to rip you off?Reviewed 3 Jan. 2017
