Location is right in the heart of the action in the River North area. Dozens of great restaurants and shops surrounding the hotel. A few blocks from the “L”. At the hotel: friendly staff, chic decor, great music, nice restaurant, cool rooftop lounge, coffee in the room via a keurig, plush robes and slippers, comfortable bed, great view. Workout facilities and luxury spa on site. JQuiet hotel. Best hotel in Chicago I’ve stayed at.
Nothing could have been improved. I am completely satisfied with our stay. A helpful tip would be to bring a shower cap to protect your hair with the rain forest shower design.
The architecture was the primary reason I choose the Dana hotel.
I could hear a party going on in the room across the hallway, obviously very annoying at 10:30pm when i'm trying to sleep. When I complained the desk staff responded by telling me the noise complaint policy and that it may take a while for them to deal with the noise since the "partiers" have rights too. They weren't apologizing and they treated me like I was being difficult. What is difficult about expecting a hotel room to be place suitable for sleep? It took them over 15 minutes and 2 trips to the lobby to make things right but only after the concierge stepped in to offer an apology and an upgraded room away from the noise. He was the only one that appeared to have any hospitality training. They should hire more employees like him. Ultimately Chicago has so many hotel options, I can't see a reason to stay at Dana again.
Housekeeper she come by 8 am to wake up this is the only bed thing !!!
Great valet peopl, n customer service .. tj was awesome help..
Great service, very nice clean cozy room
Thanks to front desk for giving us the room with balcony just as I thought we will get booking with third party
Nice and modern.
Staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were great and comfortable.
Fantastic experience
The staff were so helpful and friendly. They took really good care of us. I would definitely stay here again.
The location of this hotel is perfect. It's a few blocks away from the river, Michigan avenue, and the Lake. Our room was very chic. There are hardwood floors, a nice desk area, a large bathroom, and a balcony. The minibar and room service were appropriately priced. We also loved the doorman, TJ, he was always very friendly and had the best recommendations for places to go. Make sure to ask him if you need any assistance with activities or restaraunts. He was much better than the concierge inside the hotel.
The only odd thing about the room is that the entire bathroom can be open to the bed. There is a curtain from the outside that only just covers it. The concierge at the hotel was also sub par. When I asked where to get sushi he suggested the hotel restaraunt and when I asked where to get bagels in the morning he suggested whole foods. I was unhappy with this service as a concierge because they should know the hot spots in the city.
We checked into the hotel at about 8 in the evening the night befor, and the desk clerk at that time let us know if we needed a late check-out just let the front desk know.... In the morning around 1030am, we requested from a different desk clerk a later check out time of an hour ot so. The clerk at the desk was undeservedly rude to us in telling us no. There are many better ways to deliver a no to a paying guest.
Good staff
Nice front desk staff and security cool there it's a club inside
Check in check out times You can hear everything in the hall not good Couldent use gym because of moving equipment Furniture wood and stuff getting old Saw noise complaints but there is a Club upstairs then walls
Love the rooms and the views!
Great room. Great location.
rooms are clean and modern with quality furnishings. Bed was pure luxury. Views over Chicago city are amazing.
The bed was really comfortable. I liked it so much
Pay TV
The showers in these rooms lack curtains or doors; about an inch of water collected on the floor during every shower and you will spend quite a bit of your time (and all of your clean towels) swabbing it up. They're very, very poorly - and wastefully - designed.
location and services
shower and bed
water, sodas at minibar is not included
They charged the full stay at the time of booking, which is really not the deal when using Booking.com!!!
Clean--VERY friendly staff--Great value for Chicago--Even turned down the bedding--Classy--I'll be back !!!
Nope
The room size and the location are very nice. Service is very good. It also provides continental breakfast.
Could hear the noise from the room next door.
The view was great! We stayed on a corner room on the 8th floor. The two corner walls consisted of huge windows!
The room was smaller than what I thought it would be. I was disappointed to find out that the rooftop lounge was not open yet.
The spacious rooms and rain shower.
The resturant food was ok but way overpriced.
