Pros: Breakfast was great. Super friendly waitress. Checking in was super easy, yummy welcome cookies A refreshing alternative to staying Downtown San Diego. Grounds were green and spacious.
Cons: Wish pool and hot tub had later hours. 10pm is too early for summer. Wished for healthier snacks in lobby such as fruit.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Carpet was so dirty. It stuck to your feet. There was hair on the floor. Dark hair. So it wasn’t ours. There was dog food on the floor and one pile of dog poop. The smelled of bleach, but not clean. For $279.00 a night. That is a lot , for a not clean room.
Cons: Good location, every friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a GREAT golf resort with excellent rooms, dining (compliments to the Russian Chef), staff and three 18 hole golf courses. The nearby Casino is a bonus for after golf activity. Highly recommended!
Cons: They should offer Senior, Junior, active Military and Monday through Friday discounts on their green fees for their two regulation courses, besides the Stay and Play program.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property has been here for years and is well maintained. I like that as you drive over the hill coming into the property you can see all 3 golf courses. If you golf this is heaven. The food is good at the course restaurant. The casino is just down the road if you like to gamble.
Cons: The course is busy and they hold a lot of tournaments there. Last 2 times I stayed they had one of the courses closed to accommodate the tournaments. Best to call first and find out. There are 2 full size courses and an executive course. Always fun.

Pros: I liked the attentiveness of the staff when I had a problem with the refrigerator in my room. They came promptly to my to fix it
Cons: I didn’t like the attitude of the staff during my stay. When I brought up the issue of my refrigerator leaking with water, their response was dismissive and derogatory. Although the lady was prompt to address the issue, her manner in doing so was rude and unprofessional
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Pool was dirty and a huge layer of grease over it.
Cons: Manager lady was rude and basically kicked us out of the room before our stay was over ... She came in without permission and took all the blankets and pillow cases off the bed to wash them when we were still inside the room.... So rude. She steals the money that you leave for the house keepers so if you go make sure to give the house keeper the tip in their hands cuz if you leave in the room it will never get to the house keeper.

Pros: Comfy beds, good breakfast, nice staff. Pool is small but clean. We enjoyed our stay because the staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: On the edge of town so location isn’t brilliant, surrounded by shabby trailer parks but good restaurants are only a short drive away.

Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel staff is pretty great! Very kind and helpful all the time!

Pros: Super friendly staff! Very nice clean rooms.
Cons: I can’t think of anything I didn’t like
5.0 Okay
Pros: Hotel is pleasant enough but not anything flash.
Cons: Breakfast is a fight for food and a table as there are too many people for the small space and servings of food, had to ask for more eggs and people could not get a seat.
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was so helpful and friendly.
Cons: The breakfast was a little crowded on the holiday weekend.
7.0 Good
Pros:  reception was the most pleasant person to meet. Wonderful customer service and I truly enjoyed my introduction to the property from her.
Cons: Location was interesting Room was very dated and just smelled old. Branding of this hotel is vague and unassuming for a Best Western property.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was great. Has several eating places on the surroundings. Good choice for price.
Cons: Sometimes at night the room beside us was very loudly and noisy. You could hear everything.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the room was just the right size. Easy check in and out. No issues at all. The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and helpful as well. The ice machine was out, but, that’s not the end all. It wasn’t too far of a drive to the convention center for Comic-Con, about 20min. The breakfast was fantastic. You don’t normally expect much from a continental breakfast, but this was beyond what I expected. Eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, juice coffee, tea, and danishes. Maybe there is even more. All I know is, it was well worth it! Plus, even if your running on the later side and show up at 8:30 or 8:45 for breakfast the ladies working in there will continue to stock and make sure you have everything you need. They were amazing everyday we went. I was looking for a specific danish, she went out of her way and brought me the one I was looking for, the eggs were out she brought fresh eggs. I will definitely be looking into staying here again for next year’s Comic-Con.
Cons: No complaints
7.7 Good
Pros: Staff very friendly, easy access to hotel
Cons: Mattress was old and very uncomfortable
4.5 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good but the ladies who set it up and kept the food full were very friendly and kept everything full
Cons: When we first checked in two ladies were talking about the system being down and continued to talk never acknowledge us. I timed them and it took 10 minutes to finally stop talking and talk to us.

Pros: Clean
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: We selected this because we didn't need anything special but just the basics for a quick overnight stay before we got to cruise ship. Room up on second floor, no elevator. To get ice you had to go to a neighboring hotel, second floor and card given to get access didn't work, so back to hotel for new card. Room definitely a dump. Bedspread spotted and walls scraped and in need of paint. Only 2 bath towels and wash cloth, no hand towels. There was a fridge, microwave small safe, but NO HAIRDRYER which I wasnt prepared for. Although clerk tried to be helpful she couldn't recommend good restaurants. Dumpy, definitely no frills.

Pros: Room was , clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Good size tv. It had a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Loved the fact it had an elevator.

7.0 Good
Pros: It was clean and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: The price was a little high and while it was clean the furniture was old and worn. Breakfast could have been better.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was okay. Great coffee. The location was very good for my needs. Hwy. 67 complicated finding the address but... nothing can be done about that.
7.5 Good
Pros: My room was clean and the bed comfortable. It was spacious.
Cons: Too noisy. I couldn’t sleep well because too much noise was coming from the outside from other clients.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: The location is good and the rooms are good For what you pay
Cons: It was clean but there were bugs in the room like little bugs crawling around at points by the tables and tv
8.0 Excellent
Pros: the price was great for a San Diego area place to stay. Nice café next door. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will stay there again
Cons: Heard sirens most every night as the police station was just down the block, and a lot of homeless people in the area but other than that it was a great place to stay
9.5 Excellent
Pros: I was impressed by the recent rehab of this Super 8. It is vastly improved. I had stayed here over the years, several times. I know what it used to be like. The Staff is superb, friendly and honest. The neighborhood is quite humble, but seems generally safe. Kudos to this Super 8 on their upgrade. I will definitely be back again.
Cons: They have a constant challenge keeping the parking area clean. Sadly, the nature of their clients is to throw too much litter around the cars. I did my own modest help by throwing away trash from there a few times.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was basic but met our needs - not crowded - always supplied - great location.
Cons: Nothing to dislike...

3.0 Mediocre
Cons: The dirtiest motel I have seen ever. The worst staff communication. The room smells really bad and the corridor is disgusting, there were many dogs' pops . When I reserved the room it said that there are microwave and refrigerator, after I took my room I didn't find it. The lady in front desk said that you should pay additional 11$ to upgrade. There was a mistake from booking.com( which I will not trust them anymore). After she gave me the receipt I noticed that the additional fee is 30$ not 11$, I asked her why was that?. She said that she had no idea what happened but I should pay the 30$ because this is what the system said

5.5 Okay
Pros: Check in was really smooth and easy. We were able to check in early. Price was reasonable.
Cons: Shady-looking characters hanging around outside of rooms and parking lot. Looked like drug addicted tweakers. Our door had a huge gap at bottom and didn’t seal fully. I felt scared that I would be raped or robbed here. Guy was knocking on doors in middle of night. Scary! No hair dryer. No kleenex. No iron or ironing board. Linens and towels thin and scratchy. Only bar soap, no shampoo or conditioner. Air conditioning was either on and too cold or off, low setting didn’t work. Room requested was no. Smoking, but reeked of smoke. Walls thin. Furniture was beat up and sink looked old/damaged.

3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing, I will never go there again. A total waste of $150.00

Pros: The ac worked good
Cons: The office staff weren't professional. They were hard to understand! The room had roaches! Horrible experience!
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: I didn’t like anything. I pulled up to the parking lot and there was a guy bearing up his girlfriend in the parking lot. Security walked by either wasn’t paying attention or chose to ignore it. I reserved two queen beds for my kids and I. We walked into the room and it reeked of smoke. I went down to the front desk and asked for a non-smoking room and the lady said my room was a non-smoking room. I asked her if I could cancel since I can’t have one of my daughter’s around smoke as she has a heart condition. The lady said that I will lose my money if I canceled. Are you kidding me!? As it is, the room was $275 for ONE NIGHT then on top of that, it’s disgustingly dirty and reeks of smoke, not to mention there were cigarette holes in the bedding. It was the most disgusting and dirty hotel I’ve ever been in and I will never, ever stay there again. Honestly, it would’ve been better to stay in a car than that disgusting place.
4.3 Okay
Pros: It was not far from the place I had to go. Good staff, reasonable breakfast.
Cons: Lot of noise from the highway close by. Shower tap worked wrong way (hot is cold, cold is hot, took a while to see...) Water streamed from shower into bathroom, unable to keep rest dry. No king size bed.
5.7 Okay
Pros: location
Cons: Yes, there appeared to be a pretty heavy drug and prostitution trade going on at this hotel. On the second and third floors there were clearly drug deals going down and people walking the exrterior balaconies at all hours of the night (2-4 am).
6.3 Good
Pros: Being asked to upgrade to a Suite for a very small fee.
Cons: Very difficult to find, address not correct!
4.0 Okay
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: Room to small, not anywhere are nice as other Quality Inn & Suites we have stayed at. Pictures mislead you to think it is newer and nicer. Getting on and off Hwy. was horrible and we will not stay there again. The area is not safe and the train runs right outside your room making noise at all hours. The lobby was dirty, the elevator hot and cramped. This was a made over old hotel and should not be a Quality Inn & Suites, it does not do justice to the others we have been at.

Cons: I booked through your website for my sons wedding in El Cajon this past weekend, May 4th- May 6th. I chose to stay at the Travel Lodge in El Cajon. I specifically stated that I needed a non-smoking, 1st floor hotel room, as my brother who was staying with us is legally handicapped due to being paralyzed on his entire left side of his body. Upon check-in, I was told that a room on the 1st floor was unavailable and that the elevator was broken and down for maintenance. As we eventually made it up the flight of stairs with my handicapped brother and all of our luggage, we got to our room that was over 85 degrees. I called down to the office to report the lack of AC, they said they would send a maintenance guy up to our room to fix the AC. Three hours later, at this point it was 1am, we were told that the AC was broken, the maintenance man was not going to arrive, and that we needed to move rooms. We moved rooms, still remained on the 2nd floor, and was put in a smoking room that reeked of cigarettes. When I attempted to cancel our 2nd night at the hotel, for obvious reasons, I was told that I could not cancel our stay and that any disputes had to be made through booking.com I am extremely disappointed in the customer service of this experience all around. My brother, had a very difficult weekend, as I had to carry him up and down the stairs several times a day due to the lack of handicap accessibility
7.0 Good
Cons: EVERYTIME I have stayed, payment has changed. They hold my credit card when I pay cash the entire amount is held for 5 days +, the 30 deposit that I'm sure people forget and don't return takes twice the time to return. They don't keep my records on file so I have to fill out the same paperwork every time. From now on I pay expedia for the room and cash for the deposit so they can't hold my money so long. Like 30.00 is gonna pay for something if it's broke or whatever they say it's for. just seems like a scam to get the 30.00 when people don't go back to the front desk to checkout wasting my time instead of just leaving. They have all my info and c.c. already. Any nice hotel doesn't need that.
5.3 Okay
Cons: The staff there sucks. Excuse me, the management sucks and so do their check in employees. They charged my credit card twice only to find out they were running my card for unexplained purchases, saying that it was a deposit NOOOO,im sorry. Deposits arent charged $20..7 different times. They are extremely rude uncaring jerks and I WILL NEVER GIVE THAT TRAVELODGE MY BUSINESS AGAIN.
6.3 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Cons: It smelled funny in a bad way I can’t explain what it smelled like.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Everything horrible
Cons: Mold on shower curtain, roaches, room dark, area looked looked to be drug and prostitution infested. Parking horrible, rooms need upgrade and paint. The bathrooms looked redone but you can still see dirt underneath. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I will contact management for a refund.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Run down dirty hotel. Several shady characters roaming the parking lot late at nite.
Cons: very thin walls, EVERYTHING was excessively worn: furniture, fixtures, carpet, drapes. Didnt like the characters scoping thru the parking lot late at night. They allow pets but there is NO GRASS for the dogs to take care of their 'buzness'.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Police were called. Very dirty, and scary.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The Staff was helpful. They were understanding and were willing to work with you. They were accommodating. I like that there was Matrix products in the bathroom.
Cons: The location of the place was seedy and there were shady characters sitting around constantly. The first night I pulled up there was an argument and threats between two individuals in the parking lot. I had a couple of random guests stand around my door. I means it's in the middle of El Cajon So I guess it's to be expected. It's very basic amenities.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: The only thing that was pleasant was the front desk staff. right off the key card worked but the handle spun in a circle like it was broken (7 times to get it open. non - smoking room with burn holes in the blanket, on the counters, unsecured outlets, t.v. worked with only one channel after I tried to change the chanel I couldn't even get that one anymore? after advertising 2 hbo's and cable TV , there was a dvr attached to the back of the tv with something in the disk slot acting like a cable box. window curtains wouldn't close fully. stains on the walls, shower curtain, paint on the floor, nightstand drawers dirty. my wife didn't even want to stay the couple of hours I needed to clean up and relax after driving from Stockton California thru the grapevine on I-5, hitting bumper to bumper traffic through Los Angeles to Hollywood and back to the I -8 heading south on our way moving to Tucson Arizona , didn't get out of the bumper to bumper traffic until La Mesa, California at 7 pm, and then get a room like that from a nationally recognized hotel name like travellodge. 3/4 star for the desk staff at least being pleasant. p.s. To me it looked like a bunch of the rooms were being rented weekly.
Cons: Everything!!!!

Pros: The proprietors were nice people, cold A/C, plenty of hot water and towels, sheets were clean. Not far from stores and restaurants.
Cons: Sketchy characters lurking in and around parking lot all night long. Weekly term tennants staying on property. Property is run down. No smoking room smelled like pure nicotine, shower was dirty - I had to rinse it before showering. The air from the HVAC unit smelled of urine. There were no locks on the windows, and the bathroom screen was torn.

Pros: The staff was friendly, understanding ,personable
Cons: Theres no late check out its 11am on the dot or u are out of the deposit no matter what...and they come banging on the door but first i made reservations threw trivogo and it got confirmed everything was good i got a ok price for that place it was $49 but like 25-30mins later i get a call saying sorry we had to cancel the room has allready been sold ...ok ow and we do have rooms but they cost more plus the deposit which made it a lil bit of a price jump so i agree to it anyway because i thought i had aroom to go to and relax but then they over charged my card. Which still hasent got put back on still which in turn made it to where i was short the next day and so i asked 30min ahead of time right after i got back from a doctors app if they will give me 20-30 to run over and grab the rest of the money that i was short they said no on top of that the room was now $77 plus a $20 deposit. So while i was down in the office talking to the person at the desk time was just ticking away and what do u know now from talking to them i have now lost my deposit. ...and did the deposit buy me anytime at all to get my stuff out of the room ?? Lol NO I WAS BEING RUSHED..SO YA THAT WAS MY MONDAY MORNING....IT WOULDENT HAVE BEEN BAD IF SINCE I OVER LOOKED THE MESS UP IN THE BEGINNING OR EVEN THE DIRTY RAg left on my table that they could have gave me a late check out like even 20mins and my deposit would have been a nice gesture..

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: There front desk people are so so rude. They never cleaned the room there were ants in the tub. And eveytime we got back to hotel later in the night our room key wouldn’t work and had to go back to the office all 4 days we stayed there.
5.5 Okay
Pros: I liked the location and the bed was comfortable and that was pretty much it.
Cons: There are two doors but we were told not to use the one facing the front of the hotel because the owners have dogs, the door did not open to a fenced in area, not sure what that was about because they do not allow pets. There is a nasty dirty broken down old motorhome parked right in front and right next to the pool, someone is obviously living in it, pretty sure that is against City codes. Yes the price is good but let's have some respect for your place of business.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Unfriendly and unprofessional staff No respect for customers Look old and not clean Asking for $30 cash deposit for the TV remote control and the key I travel a lot but never experiencing that kind of deposit .......... Very funny Never come back
Cons: Clean it up Hire professional staff Take away the deposit for key room and remote control No one asking like that We are here to stay for business not here to steal you remote and key room Learn how to respect your customers more like they are respect you

Pros: Hard wood floors. Next to IHOP
Cons: 1. Check in was difficult due to overwhelming smell of incense. 2. Wife and Husband were extremely rude and unprofessional during checkin. 3. $50 cash deposit upon checkin. 4. I paid for 7/26-7/29 and the daughter at the front desk told my family they had to leave on 7/28. When I called with my confirmation I was rushed off the phone with a “yeah yeah yeah”. 5. During checkout the daughter told my Aunt that I didn’t pay a deposit and when I arrived at the hotel I demand my deposit returned and pointed out my handwriting on the original document in her hand stating who to give the deposit to at checkout. 6. Receipts are not available and I was given attitude when I demanded a copy to be made on copier that was 12inches away from the clerk. 7. We had to buy our own towels and wash clothes.
