Was not advised how difficult it is to charge an electric car in rural Ontario, even on a major highway (Hwy 7, formerly the main Toronto-Ottawa route). This led to major stress and expensive charge from a generator.

Upon drop off, some people were at the parking lot. It was very quick to leave the car at the parking lot. But was a bit confusing if I need to go to the office to confirm dropping off. Also still did not receive a final receipt and the deposit wasn't returned yet. Also it seems that I missed the information about the insurance somewhere on the web site. As a first time user, it would be great to clarify this and mention the specific price more visually and clearly so that I can understand the final price and make sure that I have enough money on the card.

While pick-up Sunday, Oct.1 at 9am was easy and fast, after-hours drop-off the same day at 8:30 was less satisfying. Instructions told me to put the key and rental agreement into an envelop and drop them in the lock-box. There were no envelopes. Now, two days after the return, I have still to receive confirmation that the car was received and the rental completed successfully. Hopefully all went well, but I have no way of knowing. I tried calling Hertz yesterday to find out, but no one answers the phone and one is referred only to the online reservations site. I'd call this "customer no-service".
