Overall experiencePros:The pick/drop off lady who helped me was extremely rude. This hertz location was in a hotel with a large parking lot, she didn't have the courtesy to walk me to the hertz section, it took me about 5 minutes to locate the section and I was the the only customer she had. There was no body behind or ahead of me. Also, she argued with me about me using only the card ( my debit card) I used to pre pay and that that's the card she has to put on file for me to pick up my car. After going back and forth, she finally used a different card and not the debit card I used to pre pay. Upon drop off, she charged me for taxes.. .... This may not be her fault but I've done prepaid reservation before and didn't have to pay for taxes upon drop off. The car itself was very comfortable but was dirty inside and smells of cigerette and I had 2 kids with me. That in my opinion is unacceptable.Reviewed 25 Aug. 2016

Cons:This Concord NC location was ready right out of the gate. My wife and I were dropped off about 10 minutes early before they opened. It was raining and we were welcome to to sit until they opened at eight. Our agent ,Peter was very polite explained options and got us ready to go expeditiously. Pretty good experiencePros:My car was ready when I arrived. The man who helped me to check-out the car was helpful. The gentleman who helped me with drop-off was really nice (just overall friendly and helpful,) but I had to wait a while for him to come help. I believe he may have been helping someone else. The price to re-fill gas at drop off was very competitive and I should have taken advantage of that.Cons:The car wasn't as clean as I thought it was going to be. There was someone empty dry cleaning bag in the trunk. Exterior of the car looked like it was probably washed 48 hours prior and there were water spots all over. It wasn't a filthy car or anything, but just not as clean as I was expecting. I did have to wait more than 5 minutes for someone to help me with dropoff, but I suspected the person was probably helping someone else outside. When he did come to help he was helpful and had a great attitude. Hertz didn't have a record of the insurance policy I purchased when I booked on Kayak. It might be a good idea to let the car services know when one of Kayak's customers purchases the insurance policy. Some mild confusion was created when the gentleman at checkout started talking about insurance options and I told him that I already purchased insurance, but he didn't have a record of it. We looked at the record I had brought though and it wasn't that big of an issue. Also, Kayak's survey (this survey) should have a rating for Customer Service. So many issues are resolved just by quality customer service, and this is a service orientated business.Reviewed 30 Aug. 2016

Pros:I didn't like anything.Cons:Better customer service. The most important thing is to have a vehicle when it is confirmed. There should never be a confirmation without vehicles. I won't use Hertz again. Employee was rude and unprofessional.Reviewed 26 Apr. 2021

I’ll use a different company next timePros:Not muchCons:Pick up : gas tank empty had to immediately stop for gas, windshield smeared, no windshield washer fluid. No place to park when car dropped off. Had to call for assistance when tried to call a second time the phone would not accept calls. Drop off desk was closed at 5:05 pm on a Friday. I had scheduled for return by 6pm, no indication they would be closed and no mention of this when car was picked up. Had a bad experience with Hertz a few years ago. Tried them again but will avoid them going forward.Reviewed 12 May 2018

DisappointedPros:PriceCons:I made it very clear the day before my trip that I needed a small car and the time I would arrive to pick up the car. I arrived only to find a note on the door saying back in 5 minutes and waited 40 minutes. I did not get what I had asked for and was given a choice between 2 vehicles which I was extremely unhappy about. Out of desperation I chose the somewhat smaller of the two, but found it a bit difficult to drive. I am very angry at how this was handled.Reviewed 21 Mar. 2017

Overpriced, poor experience.Pros:None.Cons:Car pickup took 30 min, car engine light was on so had to go back to try to get another one but none were available, signs to dropoff at airport in Chattanooga were not clear, overall stressful experience.
