Hertz intentionally overbooked the Hartford location by 30 cars and denied our reservation. They didn't offer any assistance in finding an alternative vehicle and were initially reluctant about even granting a refund. We needed to get three hours north of Hartford that day and it was a completely preventable struggle. We can't see ourselves using them again.Reviewed 20 Sep. 2022

I made the mistake of reserving my car at the wrong Hertz location - not at the airport, but at the West Hartford location on New Britain Road. My own error, and it necessitated a taxi ride to the correct location. But once I got there, the young man behind the counter was very helpful and arranged for me to drop the car back off at the airport location, saving me time and money, with no fee for the change in location. The vehicle (Honda SUV) was good, and everyone from Hertz was friendly and helpful. Thank you.Reviewed 12 Sep. 2022

I inadvertently rented my car from West Hartford when I really wanted the airport. Being unfamiliar with the area, I was not sure of the address. The pickup experience at West Hartford was great, getting there was a little more problematic. When I returned the car, I opted to pay the fee to return at a different location, and picked the airport since it was right across the street from our hotel, so much easier to get to.
