I inadvertently rented my car from West Hartford when I really wanted the airport. Being unfamiliar with the area, I was not sure of the address. The pickup experience at West Hartford was great, getting there was a little more problematic. When I returned the car, I opted to pay the fee to return at a different location, and picked the airport since it was right across the street from our hotel, so much easier to get to. Very disappointed. They took the reservation but when I got to the rental counter after taking a $30 Uber ride from the airport. I was told that they had no cars and could not fullfil my reservation. The desk clerk also said that they had taken another 120 reservations overnight and they would be unable to fill those too. What is the point of taking a reservation knowing that you are not going to be able to honor the commitment? This was very poor service and I shall not be using Hertz anytime soon.Reviewed 24 Jun 2021
