They excepted my reservation and money without having the vehicle available. Hertz cancelled my reservation and it took me weeks to get my money back. I will never use Hertz or kayak again.Reviewed 30 May 2023

Not acted as promisedCons:we rented a car from Hertz through Kayak for 12 days from 11-Dec-2017 to 23-Dec-2017. We picked up the car on 11th at 12:50 PM from Richmond Hill (Gamble/Yonge) location and returned the car to the same location on 15-Dec-2017 at 12:10 PM because we did not need the car anymore. We got charged totally 312 CAD from which we prepaid 258.73 CAD online at the time of reservation and paid the rest in the Hertz branch at the time of pickup. We were told if we bring the car anytime earlier than Dec, 23rd, we will be charged for one extra day and the rest of the money will be refunded to us. When we returned the car, we asked for the refund but they told us they have not charged us and Kayak has charged us and referred us to Kayak and unfortunately when we called Kayak, we received a very poor and unrespectable service and they referred us back to Hertz (back and forth). I have shared this terrible experience with my family and friends and will not recommend renting a car with any car rental through Kayak.Reviewed 3 Jan. 2018
