Budget did not actually have a car for me at the designated site. They called that morning and told me in advance at least. Their agent scheduled me for a car at a nearby location in Cincinnati. That location called shortly afterward and told me that they didn't have any cars. The next agent set me up at a third location in downtown Cinci. My wife and I arrived there at the scheduled time only to be told that they didn't have our car. We were in disbelief as we were being told that they would shuttle us to the airport. Moments later someone returned a car and she designated that for us. We gladly waited while it was cleaned up and brought out. The car was in good working order and was clean, except for the fact that it smelled like someone had smoked in it and the attempt to deodorize had failed miserably. I highly recommend not renting from Budget or Avis (they are the same there), since they contract out for cars that they don't have.

They did not have the car size I reserved but did give me a nice upgrade. The car was filthy and the gas tank was not filled. So I probably spent more on gas with the bigger vehicle due to a lower mileage rating but have to admit it was comfortable. Return was awful, they advertised online on their website that the office was open at 11:00 but the store the office was in did not open until 12:00 so I was stuck waiting an hour for the store to open to get access to the rental counter. When the attendant was questioned about that he said “well, I was here, take it up with the store”. And no, don’t ask, the drop box was inside the store too so that was not an option. If you were to ask if I would rent from Budget again, possibly, but not from this location.

Liked that the car was in good shape and served the purpose. The building at Budget looked very unkept and not manicured. The drop-off was a mess, in that the contract mentioned to drop off at Avis and also leave the key at Avis if prior to work hours. There as only one parking spot left at Avis and no mention of where to drop off the car if Avis was full.

Horrible - do not book with NextCar. They denied my car insurance because I was not the primary policyholder. I have full coverage insurance, so there was no logistical reason to deny it. The supplemental insurance cost as much as the rental itself. I was never told at the time of booking that I would be forced to use their insurance if I wasn’t the primary policyholder. I was only told so 24 hours out from my booking. I’m actively trying to get a refund for this.

Great staff, quick processing and new SUV was a great experience. Only wish the car was cleaner when I picked it up. It was washed, but there was a lot of hard water stains all over including the side mirrors which made it difficult to use until I washed them. Besides that, was a great overall experience.

Please contact me on a rule change! I have been added to you rentals in the past as a second driver or used a corporate card to rent cards. Alamo did not allow me to use a card with anothe name and my ID to rent the car. They said the card and the DL had to be the same. I was able to rent a car in this fashion at a competitor.

Pick up and drop off were fine. I am very uneasy ,though, about the fact that the flash drive was removed from the car. I rented a Tesla Model Y, and having the flash drive in helps operating the dashcam which is vital when driving as well as saving the sentry mode clips which will serve as an evidence if anything happens. I have not yet recieved the final bill which is weird (I returned the car on Saturday Oct 14 th. I really want an explanation from Hertz on that.

Only 400Km in total (Ontario & US) for your rental if you take the car into US for even a day. Also, the cars are not in good mechanical conditions, couldn’t drive above 110KPH on highways! Best to book with some reputable rental companies even if you have to pay a little more!

The drop off/pick up is outside of the airport. If you need to drop off the car early and they are closed you have to drop off the car and take an Uber or taxi to the airport at your own cost. Just a heads up when booking.

I had an issue with the class of vehicle I was given. I returned it and they gave me the proper one and returned the difference in the money I had paid. The counter people were awesome. The people In the parking lot accepting returns and inspecting on the way out needed some finesse in their customer service.

The place where I pick up the van was like a zoo, the guy that took me to the car didn’t want to check the van for damage and I ask him to and he says every was ok at the exit they will do it. I left to the next guy and told him they are some indentation on the van and he says that everything was fine and I was never provide with a inspection slip. The van was filthy and with garbage from the previous person. Was never wash or clean after the last use. Had no choice but to take the van as I need it to travel for 3 hours . Price was insane for the value and the kind of van.

They did not have a mini van despite me booking a minivan. I was provided with a kia store to suv which was not an equivalent or sufficient replacement. They were also dishonest with making me aware of the lack of minivan - they processed the paperwork and brought out the suv without my prior knowledge. It wasted a lot of time and I was late for my appointment in Ottawa.

The facility was dingy and the pick up and drop off processes were over complicated and extremely slow. My experience was fine but at least a third of the other customers ahead of me had issues with their reservation. The car itself was fine and the price was good, but I feel like I won a lottery of sorts and I don't think I'll choose them again.

The car was dirty when we picked it up. It only had a single floor mat il and it was in the back. It was missing a hubcap and had body damage to the right rear. The final price was much higher than was quoted. The listing said that the car was "in terminal" but it was not it required a shuttle ride. Overall experience was poor. I would rather have a bus pass than rent from these people again.

Ease of booking and the customer service of the individual at the counter - didn't get his name but he was there at pick up and drop off and had us in and out within minutes! The car was great!

Cons:

Couldn't find contact info online so I had to drop in a week before just to confirm the location and details - didn't want to leave anything to the last minute. It's located opposite Square One beside the Novotel hotel.

We went to Canada for 2 days for Family Emergency Our flight was late I called Thrifty Rental explain everything They advise me don't worry When you arrived at Pearson Toronto Airport Your car shound be ready at airPort location We arrived At 4pm at Thrifty they told us we made a reservation at city location we have no cars available I have explain everything and everything to them I was so frustrated called the Taxi went to a city location they were closed.I call customer service Told my situation. They made a new reservation at Dollar rent a car at same location at Thrifty and dollar RENTAL where I was told they don't have any cars available By time We got back from city to airport Taxi cost me $100 and my new rental cost me $80 dollars extra From my original reservation and wasted one all day. Worst service ever.

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

When I went to pickup my car, I had to wait ~1 hour to speak with someone at the desk. The agent I spoke to at the desk lied to me and said that I cannot use my personal auto insurance and had to use their plan. I call their corporate number later and the confirmed that agent was incorrect and refunded my money spent on the insurance. The car they had reserved for me was stuck behind several cars on the lot and inaccessible. Because of this they tried to give me another vehicle in the same class. The replacement they picked had visible damage/dent to the multiple panels, doors, and bumper. I started documenting all the damage in detail and taking pictures, the agent started getting visibly annoyed. He ended up providing me with a different car in the end. When I came time to drop off the vehicle, the lot nearly full and there was a line extending into the street just to enter the lot. I'm still waiting to deposit to be returned and I anticipating that I will need to call their corporate office again. This was an extremely poor experience through and through. I will never rent from Mexrentacar ever again, and I will never recommend their services to anyone.

If you do not arrive within 1-2 hours of your reservation time, they give your car away and don't have backups for you! EVERYONE in that arrived on my shuttle were in the same boat; they didn't have any of our vehicles; they were simply telling everyone that their reservation is cancelled, we'll receive our money back (eventually), and we just need to go elsewhere to find a car last minute, at night. IT WAS A DISASTER! Thank God one of the guys working there took pity on my group since I had my 80 year old parents with me, and managed to find another vehicle for us. It was smaller than what we rented, but at least it was a vehicle. I'm thankful to the employee who bent over backwards to find us a vehicle, but York's policy of re-renting everyone's cars if they are not there within 1-2 hours is CRAZY! Everyone else got screwed. It was an awful experience. Oh, it it took HOURS for all of that to get settled. 0/5 stars.

Words cannot express the sheer level of disappointment and frustration I experienced while dealing with "Right Cars" Car Rental. This company is a prime example of how NOT to conduct business, and I strongly urge anyone considering renting from them to think twice and avoid this nightmare at all costs. Let me start by saying that "Right Cars" has absolutely no regard for their customers' well-being or financial security. When I arrived at their rental office, ready to pick up my supposedly affordable 50 euros car, I was greeted with an outrageous demand: a whopping 650 euros as a deposit. Are they out of their minds? It's beyond comprehension how they can justify such an exorbitant amount for a car that is worth a fraction of that deposit. As if their greed wasn't enough, "Right Cars" shamelessly refused to refund or provide any reasonable alternatives. Instead, they presented me with an ultimatum: pay an additional 80 euros for insurance or fork over a mind-boggling 500 euros as a deposit for a vehicle that should be barely worth the initial rental cost. This level of exploitation and disregard for customer satisfaction is simply disgraceful. It's clear that "Right Cars" Car Rental thrives on taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. Their outrageous deposit requirements and unwillingness to accommodate reasonable requests are not only unethical but also bordering on fraudulent practices. I cannot stress enough how important it is to steer clear of this company if you value your hard-earned money and want to avoid unnecessary stress and disappointment. In conclusion, "Right Cars" Car Rental is an absolute disaster of a company. They epitomize everything that is wrong with the car rental industry. Save yourself the headache, frustration, and financial burden by choosing a reputable car rental company that actually values its customers. "Right Cars" is simply not worth the time, money, or peace of mind you'll undoubtedly lose by dealing with them.

The pick up hour should be an interval, our flight delayed and the man from car rental didn’t wait for us. It was necessary to arrange a paid transfer to the hotel. Also the phone number mentioned in the voucher didn’t work and nobody answer. I was helped by customer service from my hotel to manage to be in touch with somebody from The car rentals. The experience was awful.

I arrived at the airport at 7:30pm and called for a shuttle. I called twice with no answer. I took a taxi out an couldn't find the location. I finally got through and the person on the phone said they closed at 5. On my printed out paper, it says pick up till 9pm. I had to make a last minute booking with another company at the airport and paid a 65$ taxi fee for the back and forth. The money I would have saved was not worth this head ache. I am super disappointed the pick up times weren't clearly indicated and I would have arranged myself accordingly. I think kayak should make a better effort in providing better, reliable companies considering their name is associated with them.

Waited 45 minutes at the airport for the shuttle. Called ACO several times but no answer. Car engine light came on and the ACO call centre was unable to help me, it being a Sunday. I sent a photo and an email of my concern but received no reply. No windshield washer fluid.

The customer service person had no explanation and offered no help other then to go back online and try again. When I did this I was told there were no cars available. Shuttle from airport doesn’t arrive. I called multiple times. No answer, no response to voicemail. Took taxi instead. Hard to find location which is in the middle of nowhere, barely lit and marked Tuff instead of ACO. Got to counter at 7:02 and was told they close at 7 so wouldn’t help me. Also if you are an hour late your entire contract is canceled anyway. So they would not have helped me regardless due to the shuttle bus issue. I was stranded with my toddler and no car. Staff would not even call me a taxi. Thank goodness Lyft was nearby. Terrible staff, terrible service, terrible operation. I wasted $50+ in cab fare thanks to ACO. BEWARE.
