Lots of hidden fees, in Kayak, a three day rental shows about 150. The final invoice ended up 400. There’s additional premium location fee, and bunch of other fees. Insurance costs about 40 a day, and the front desk added a fuel option saying I can cancel it later which I dont understand.

The front counter lady was absolutely amazing and helpful. The nice gentleman that got us the car was cheery and very helpful with local tips for the city. It was an accidental experience that turned out to make a 13 hour lay over a tremendous experience. Thanks again

Dirty car inside, like totally dirty and mark no damages, but there was damages and it was hard to c them at night what was the pick up. I was lucky to find the damages on a rental parking lot and make the photos, otherwise they would ask me to pay for them. The request of 2 credit cards as guaranteed was shock, they said we need two of your credit cards as it a luxury car. Lucky me I have 2

KAYAK
The supplier choice is apparently an EV even though I didn’t select the EV option. They require you to bring the car back charged. For a one day rental to the airport, that is not realistic. I was also charged for gas, which I had stopped near the airport and filled up. I eventually got a credit but the whole thing was a hassle and didn’t leave me feeling good about renting from Budget in the future.

Pick up process was ridiculous. I'm not exaggerating--standing outside (not in any type of building or cover) for 56 minutes while they tried to figure out rentals for myself and 7 other customers. Ended up just giving me a size up, was not cleaned well, didn't have record of what fuel level was at, and staff spoke all of 3 words to me. I saw the poor reviews at this location and figured, how bad can it be? Yes I got my vehicle and it worked fine, but the entire pick up and drop off experience was horrible and I do not plan to rent from this brand at this airport again.

Hidden cost. While I had my own car insurance, I was forced to purchase “3rd party insurance” which was never mentioned during the online process. Double standards. When issuing the car, the inspection was cursory. When receiving the car, the team checked every speck. While it did not incur any charges, it would not have been uncommon to notice speck-scratches on the lower part of the vehicle from prolonged driving. Long Wait Time. Took me an hour to collect the car and 30mins to return. When collecting, the team went through lengths to tell me my insurance from WorldWide Travel Insurance was inadequate and subject me to purchase more. When returning, the speck-inspection took awhile and thus a longer than usual wait time.

I arrived on-time with my reservation number (I reserved a van 1 week before) and was told that there must have been a glitch online because they did not have my reservation in their system. They said they didn't have a 7 seater available and there was nothing they could do to help me. I was furious because I needed to drive 6 children to a youth event that evening! I ended up finding another rental at another company for triple the price of the ACE rental. Do not rent from them! Your rental confirmation number does not ensure you get the car you booked!

Not happy with staff in Windsor claiming there was a mark on the return rental. When it was picked up in Mississauga the receipt showed no marks, I drove the car for 3 and half hours to Windsor and never left the car. So how can they claim there was a mark on the car!

I had an issue with the class of vehicle I was given. I returned it and they gave me the proper one and returned the difference in the money I had paid. The counter people were awesome. The people In the parking lot accepting returns and inspecting on the way out needed some finesse in their customer service.

The place where I pick up the van was like a zoo, the guy that took me to the car didn’t want to check the van for damage and I ask him to and he says every was ok at the exit they will do it. I left to the next guy and told him they are some indentation on the van and he says that everything was fine and I was never provide with a inspection slip. The van was filthy and with garbage from the previous person. Was never wash or clean after the last use. Had no choice but to take the van as I need it to travel for 3 hours . Price was insane for the value and the kind of van.

Not all fees were included in the price. There was a premium location fee and an extra fee for a different location. When we picked up the employee was very kind and helped us as best as she could. There was also no clear break down of our receipt and what we paid for. Overall, the experience was okay. We are just disappointed with the surprise of an extra $100 added to the bill that we were not expecting.

The pick up process took a very long time, and there was a lot of paperwork involved. I think it could be quicker, and most of the paper can be sent via email. Other than that I had a very positive and overall excellent experience renting a Tesla from the Hertz Novotel Hurontario location.

Rent a car on line $15 per day . The car rental add insurance $50 per day and they try to drain all your money. For 7 days rental cost me $736.77 per day $106. They didn’t explain and charge you from your credit card. I booked through Kayak company and end up getting a zoom car rental .Throughly scammed me. I hope everyone see this review.

Nothing was good about the experience. The car was completely trashed from bumper to bumper! Buttons did not work properly for air conditioning in 85-degree weather the entire week. Additionally, because the engine had no power to it.... to go up most of the hills, I had to turn off the fan motor or we would slow to an almost halt in traffic inspiring all other drivers to honk at us. We were NOT made happy at all. IN FACT, I am still waiting for my security deposit of approximately $440.00 to be credited back to my charge card. I AM NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL WITH THE EXPERIENCE !!!

I had paid for my car in full. I had to wait for my bus to pick us up. He didn’t want to wait. When I arrived at the pick up I was late due to bad weather and my car was given away. Remember I paid in full the car so it should have been there no matter what. I receive a smaller car after paying for the more larger one and wasn’t given my money back. Was told my insurance on my master card wasn’t good enough for insurance which I had used Multiple times in Florida. Which is the reason I have this cards to for theses extras. I was forced to purchase insurance. He told me I had to complete the walk around and fill out the forms as I look for the damage. Never had to do that. I walked around in the dark as the property doesn’t have enough light to see the dents and scratches on the vehicle. The office wasn’t up to standard. Needs a face lift. Wanted to drop off the car and there’s didn’t have a night time drop off between. 11pm- 6am . Had to paid $100 for airport drove off.

The car was clean, but the sale tactics were not. I had prepaid for the vehicle and read all of the fine print listed on the rental page before purchase...and also the NextCar policy page on their website! Yet when arriving to pick up the vehicle, agent Johan said my insurance declaration page was not sufficient (it has never been a problem before, anywhere) and that I must pay for their liability insurance. It was twice the price of the vehicle per day. I wasted over an hour trying to communicate the unfairness, but they pointed to a line in their MIA franchisee website (not the NextCar home page) that justified their charges. Bad faith business.

Hello, I'm extremely unhappy with the car rental I paid for online. When I arrived at the chosen time and location, the company didn't exist. It was a scam. I was told to go in Morgan City, 60 miles away. I had no way to get there. I then called the company, which confirmed that I couldn't pick up the car in Houma because it no longer operates there, and they told me I just had to cancel the reservation. However, by canceling my reservation at the last minute, I won't receive a full refund. I am therefore requesting a full refund of the amount initially paid for this car rental, which was not possible, as well as compensation because I was forced to find another car rental agency, which cost me more than I had planned. I also had to pay taxi fares to get to the meeting point and to go to this other agency. I am very disappointed with this bad experience.

They charged me hidden fees. I had to agree with their terms in order to rent a car at the counter because i needed a car.. I prepaid car rental when i booked it through Kayak. They charged me additional $102.08 for 2 days rental when I get there. I called customer service afterwards but they all had heavy accents and could not communicate. It’s a scam. I want refund of $102.08.

rental was 300 but insurance was 700 + tolls were 200 those huge extra costs were nowhere to be found on kayak. on the website, insurance was 260 and the only reason why we did not buy it online (together with the car rental) is that terms were not clear, and we intended to discuss them in person. big mistake: since they charged us almost 3 times as much for insurance! And tolls? they wanted to charge us 25 dollars (plus the cost of the actual tolls, obviously) for every time we would take a toll road... that's crazy! basically we were forced to purchase "unlimited tolls" for 200 dollars, something never heard of. Besides the extortion, we had to wait well over 1 hour at the car pickup before victorycar empoyee picked us up. And they knew we had been standing there since second 1, because they immediately replied to out whatsapp messages. The car was fine, but the overall experience was bad.

When I was at the counter picking up my rental the kid giving me my keys said he just washed the inside and the outside of the vehicle at it was ready to go The jeep was filthy and smelled inside I will never use Advantage Rental again and I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to use them as well

I don't recommend. What is advertised online is not what you will pay. They force you to take their insurance even if you have full coverage with your credit card and with your personal car insurance. If you don't take their insurance they will just tell you that you can't rent and free to leave when you are already way out of the airport and have all your luggages around. The car is dirty and full of stains. They also say they will put a 300$ hold but in reality they will charge you 300$ on your credit card which they say will refund after 7 days! So that's already a lie to begin with. There is no hold and you end up dishing out and extra 300$ out of nowhere that you won't get right away once you return the car. Hotels put hold and release the hold after. Advantage charged us an extra 300$ The workers there don't really care. They also tell you to get the toll pass which is around 20$ USD every day because you will need it. They said going to FLL to Miami, you have no choice but to pass to a toll way. Good thing we didn't take it because it's a complete lie. I will avoid and reason learned!!

Terrible. Took about 1.5 hours to get my car. Office was crowded, multiple customers ahead of us had problems with their reservation (mainly about insurance). They could not find our reservation as apparently, it had not been forwarded to them by Kayak. Took a long time to process. This was the first ... and last time that I will use Kayak to rent a car (other than the next reservation I have with Kayak in Portugal which I do not expect to be any better).

Pickup from airport was slow, number to call was hard to get through to. Vehicle was clean and ready to go, and rather easy to get through the paperwork. Drop off and return to airport was fine, the shuttle runs from the office. Return of deposit has not happened. Finding a number to call is nearly impossible.

It was terrible, they didn't send a shuttle to pick us up from the airport, even after repeated phone calls and assurances they were sending someone. After waiting for over 45 minutes, and having to get a taxi to the rental store location, it was closed... it was 8:30pm but their website clearly stated they were open until 10pm. After finally getting someone to open the gate, they informed me that they didn't have the car available for us and they were unable (unwilling) to work something else out for our group of 10. I DON NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!

The attention and the quickness to respond was ok, however they changed the prices several times, including “mandatory taxes” and overpriced exchange values, that finally made the price 2x times bigger than the initial one seen here at the app, and the car was so old and age-worn that made us feel worried during all our trip, be careful and never use this agency.

Careful there’s a 1-hour reservation hold time. If your flight is delayed by more than that, they’ll cancel your reservation and make you pay the full charge with insurance to retrieve your booking. IDP also required for foreign travellers not in the EU. Generally nice, but a lot of “nothing I can do it’s the ststem” from the staff. Shuttle comes really slow/late.

Customer service tricky. Asking for high insurance prices. If no insurance purchased they make everything seems like a problem. Even they pick on tiny dots when you don’t buy insurance from them. Overall a bad experience, I requested to cancel, they agreed and when I left they refused to refund through Expedia even though they told me they will refund. Liars and crooks.

I had a terrible experience with Surprice Car Rental. No one was at the airport meeting point as promised. After three calls, someone finally arrived 30 minutes late and far from the agreed location. The car didn’t have a full tank, and they demanded I pay for extra insurance that was double the rental cost. When I refused, they canceled my booking. An employee even admitted that management instructs them to overcharge customers for additional insurance and that they only rent to about one-third of their clients. Ultimately, I had to pay for a taxi to the city. This company operates like thieves and should be banned from booking platforms.
