Pros: "Very friendly, laidback staff - both in the terminal and on the flight. The onboard wifi was also great and quite affordable!"

Pros: "I thought the flight was a smooth and comfortable one, the pilots are amazing at what they do. In my opinion they have one of the most under-appreciated jobs on the planet. They got everyone home safe and sound, and at the end of the day that's the most important thing."
Cons: "When people travel, as a professional airline you would think that luggage and food is something that would be provided for its passengers. People very rarely travel empty handed. You would think that after spending so much money on a ticket, one small meal and 1 piece of baggage would be included. It really turned me off when I realized that I had to pay extra for this. Ask yourself one question, would you travel empty handed? Would you feel comfortable paying $10 for a meal that should cost $5? I get that it's a money grab, but c'mon your company already makes millions (possibly billions) atleast provide people the option to bring one piece of luggage and a meal. I will NOT be using westjet to fly to Trinidad anymore. The flight was good, but many other airlines provide a smooth and confortable ride as well. That being said, things like that can cause people to stop using your airline and go somewhere else. Just something to think about... Caribbean airlines provide the samething your company provides, except they give you food and allow you to bring luggage woth no hassle."

Cons: "Was flying alone with my 8-month baby. At five hours in he needed a break from sitting on my lap. After standing for a while (in the least in-the-way spot we could find) a flight attendant began to get huffy each time she passed and finally asked pointedly if she could get something for us. I offered to go back to my seat which she said would be helpful. In hindsight I think she could have given us a little more grace given the age of the baby and length of flight, or at least have explained the situation more politely!"

Cons: "On my way back to kelowna, westjet was unable to get me on the flight because of being 10 min late after cutoff. Resulting in me to miss work, and having to spend 6 hours at yeg. Unacceptable. I talked to their manager but she was very rude and completely unhelpful, they could have easily put us on that flight. Even after i have explained my situation. And when leaving in kelowna our flight was delayed and when we showed up an hour before our delayed flight we were told they are boarding right now and that we have to run to security.... when we got to the counter they didnt even know what were taking about. Totally mismanaged and both experiences were just awful."

I was then Seated next to an individual that should have had two seats to themselves instead of most of my seat and theirs. I was literally pressed into the bulkhead by the very large person next to me. Who had another large individual next to them. WestJet used to be a great airline that Had a little more legroom. Now airlines like flair offer the same flights with more legroom wider seats and far lower costs. WestJet has lost me as a customer that used to pay a little extra if There was a WestJet flight option"

Pros: "My first trip started on a poor note; I got to airport about an hour before boarding, only to find out that my flight was rescheduled from 9:30am to about 6:15pm ( or so) on that same day without prior notice. I went up to the counter and asked for confirmation for the switch and inquire if there was an issue, which may have affected my original flight. Turned out that the change was due to weather conditions at Toronto (makes sense). I had suggested that it would have been nice to receive some sort of notification, before starting that day way too early and inconvenience of going to pickup my car from the airport parking, only to come back again. The attendant sympathized with my plight and compensated me with a lunch voucher (which was nice of him and WestJet). Matter was resolved; I came back to catch my flight and the trip was wonderful :)"

Cons: "Staff updated my status to Deaf passenger without my knowledge. I am not Deaf, my hearing is fine and I understand English perfectly. I have no problem understanding the safety messaging. I am mute, I can't talk, that's all. I try not to misrepresent myself so that I don't take resources from Deaf people, so this frustrated me. also, I guess WestJet changed food policy again, now MUST pre order food, because no food was available on the flight if not Plus."

Pros: "Overall a very smooth experience. The entertainment system on my first flight (1pm to Toronto from Montreal) was a little wonky/sluggish. However, the amount of leg room and lack of hassle over my musical instruments more than made up for it."
Cons: "In the airport, during the check in process, I was directed to "Oversized baggage" for my checked trumpet case. (Pelican 1510 shell with custom made interior) As a musician, I was already VERY cautious about checking my instruments to go on a trip ending with an audition. Upon arrival at Windsor one of the latches on my case had not been closed properly and the zip tie I had used to hold the lid down in case of the latch becoming undone had been broken. THANKFULLY the other latch and zip tie were undisturbed and my instruments were not damaged."

Pros: "All flights to Toronto were delayed due to weather, which really wasn’t bad, but these things happen. The crew, however, weren’t empathetic at all. When it came to food, they ran out and again their empathy was quite lacking. Air Canada really needs to step up their people skills. They will lose customers to airlines that demonstrate that they care (eg WestJet) if they keep this up. This is not an isolated experience for me. They have lost us as a customer. I won’t fly Air Canada again if I have other options, and I’m willing to pay more for the same flight just to avoid them."

Cons: "Plane delayed on tarmac in Toronto for 3 hours due to no ground crew to bring plane to gate."

Cons: "My flight was at 6 am and I fell ill with strep throat the morning of. I had not gotten flight cancellation insurance so I had no choice but to board the flight while feeling sick. The illness got rapidly worse and before I knew it I had a fever and was nauseous and dizzy and was overall feeling terrible. For the first half of the flight I tried to sit through it, but it became too much as I was squished into a middle seat and was overheating extremely due to the fever and started to get overwhelmed and felt claustrophobic. At this point I decided that I could not wait out the rest of the flight in this middle seat so I went to talk to the flight attendants to ask to be moved to a seat with more space. Now, I had not slept at all the night before (because I had to take the bus to the airport at 2 am) and felt very overwhelmed with being so sick and so when I went to talk to the flight attendant I started to cry and told them I was feeling claustrophobic and wished to be moved to a seat with more space because I was very ill. I emphasized that I was sick and had to repeat this many times, but the flight attendants seemed to think I was having an anxiety episode even though I repeated many times that I was very sick. It took them HALF AN HOUR to find me a new seat. I spent this time standing while I felt extremely dizzy like I was going to pass out. I feel the situation was handled very poorly. Two of your flight attendants started trying to counsel me on anxiety and seemed to completely disregard the fact that I was extremely ill and that was causing me to feel claustrophobic (to put things in perspective, I spent the next 3 days unable to move from my dads couch, unable to eat anything, and had to be taken to the hospital because I could not even drink water). The illness started right before I was getting on the plane and at the time of boarding I had no idea how quickly it would get so bad. As an example of how poorly this was handled, one of the flight attendants handed me a pen and told me to "name my anxiety, and why I was feeling anxious and to write reasons that this may make me feel anxious" it was ridiculous. Here I was, about to pass out I was so dizzy and it took them half an hour to find me a new seat (I understand that the flight was very full but there were empty seats available). I kept repeating, I feel dizzy, I feel nauseous, I'm very sick, I need to sit down, please find me a seat and they spent half an hour trying to give me a therapy session on anxiety. I am extremely unhappy with this experience and feel like it was dealt with terribly by the staff on board. When a customer says I'm very ill with a fever and it's causing them to feel claustrophobic and they need to be moved to a seat with more room, the staff should not spend half an hour trying to counsel them on anxiety while the customer is standing there about to pass out. This experience made me feel like I wish to avoid traveling with Air Canada in the future."

Cons: "Rescheduled to increase my layover in Toronto by a few hours. Layover was long enough that I had to get baggage from carousal and couldn't pass back through security until 4h before my flight. This broke up night even more and the outside of Pearson airport security is not the nicest place to wile away hours."

Cons: "My connections were tight from the start. Then when the flight from Vancouver was late leaving, it caused me to come very, very close to missing my CVG connection. I had to find & clear customs before I could even go to my gate. Getting thru customs was like being in a maze. I showed my passport 4 times in the process & finally someone helped me to fill out the electronic form. I made it to my gate in the nick of time just as they were ready to close the door. They radioed ahead to let 2 more people on that plane. Then I get on and someone is sitting in the seat that I previously purchased. The flight attendant didn't make them move either. Air Canada's practices suck! I will never fly Air Canada again."

Cons: "PLEASE SEE WHAT WE DID LIKE HOWEVER AGAIN TO REPEAT THE NUMBER OF DELAYS RESULTING IN MISSED FLIGHTS WAS ABOVE AND BEYOND BELIEVABLE. NO COMMUNICATION BETWEEN GATE AGENTS AND INCORRECT INFO ON FLIGHTS AND DEPARTURE TIMES WAS TRULY BEYOND BELIEF"

Cons: "This flight was delayed by 45 minutes which made me miss my connecting flight. I asked the flight attendants if they could help me get to the front of the plane to see if I could catch my connecting flight and they wouldn't help me. Due to this I had to wait over 4 and a half hours at the airport wheee another 350 people were waiting for accommodations. I was in the airport until 4:30 in the morning because there weren't enough air cansas representatives. In addition, they were working really slowly because they kept getting up to chat with eachother."

Cons: "1. Too cold 2. Patron behind me was tall and his knees repeatedly pushed into my back through a paper thin seat back 3. Waited 45 minutes on tarmac AFTER landing to deplane"

Cons: "It was cold throughout the flight and everyone was shivering, we asked for blanket and they didn't provide it to nobody! It's a 4 to 5 hours flight, come on! I paid for the salad that was not fresh The screen confront of me was not working I will definitely avoid buying air Canada and it's a shame as I am Canadian and would like to have my business with them. However I am not happy with their service."

Pros: "An incident the day of our flight left us with a pet with nowhere to go but come with us. Usually you need to give a fair bit of notice to bring a pet into the cabin but the staff couldn't have been more helpful in getting all of us to our destination. They turned an incredibly stressful day into an easy and relaxing one."

Pros: "It would seem that if you are seated toward the rear of aircraft the likely hood of your overhead storage compartment being available to you are pretty remote. There doesn't seem to be any adherence to baggage size regulations and consequently passenger start jamming their bags in other people's allotted compartments. The problem seems to cascade the further back in the plane you go. Very fxxking annoying and you are left holding the bags so to speak!"

Seat options provided at the time showed only middle seats as available all other sets were showing booked or required pay-up premiums...Air Canada's website had a whole host of end seats available...."

Cons: "I don't like the fakt you have to pay for food on not so short flight( over 5 hours). Addicionaly, pay machines are apparently old fashion because they only take Visa. I can pay with my Master Card anywhere else in the world but Air Canada."

They have a fully booked flight and instead of making people with hard case luggage check them they crowd them in on the same flight where there are delays trying to get peoples luggage to fit into the bins. Also through the 4 Air Canada flights flight attends were constantly running down the aisle and hitting customers shoulders and not apologizing. it was also disruptive when people were trying to sleep (these were the 3 flights going to hawaii through calgary and vancouver and then back through vancouver. Probably will not fly with Air Canada again till corporate starts considering clients."

Pros: "Again, loved the seat."
Cons: "One of the stewardess was a little smug. She caught herself and tired to back up and be nice, but she was definately a little agressive initially. Sorry, I have been busy, I cant recall what she specifically looked like. I think she had carmel skin, dark hair and was around 30. Again, she did adjust herself, but I wanted to share this as the only real issue I noted for the trip."

Pros: "nice screen, but need to bring your own earplugs or pay to get a pair. toilet was clean, seat was quite comfortable for economy class"
Cons: "the reading light from next seat passenger was disturbing me a lot, spotting on my head & arm and it was really warm.. no room to store bag below front seat"

Cons: "I couldn't check in early on line because my original flight was cancelled but the notice came out after early check in started. The seats also seemed more narrow than other airlines (even after I paid to get a seat (a result of not being able to check in early)"

Pros: "excellent take off and landing, very smooth"
Cons: "Could serve a nicer snack.....came around once with free liquids....seemed more interested in pushing food to purchase....don't like paying for a seat when you already paid for a ticket"

Cons: "My flight was changed to be 15 minutes earlier a week before I was to leave. Then cancelled the day before I was to leave and I was rebooked onto another one 2 1/2 hours later. I was so looking forward to that 787 flight. Ended up on an A320. I had to have a mad scramble to change my seat assignment as them moved me to a middle seat. I need an aisle seat because of a handicap so I got that changed just in time. Then When I got my boarding pass printed I got a gate number. Which got changed between the printing of the boarding pass and the walk to the gate. The flight was fine. Just getting to the flight was an adventure. Then I forgot my neck pillow."

Cons: "The only thing Air Transat could do better is punctuality. They do everything else very well and then spoil it with late arrivals and departures."

Cons: "For starters, they should offer water and juice on all flights. On my outbound trip they only offered water and it took them a long time to offer the water. Also, on my inbound trip they turned on the lights after take off and had them on for a while. Seats are also SMALL."

Pros: "It’s hard to write a review when flight was supposed to leave at 6:30 and didn’t until midnight, but due to weather. It was frustrating for all but staff and pilot kept us informed at all times so that was appreciated. There wasn’t much to do but to wait out the weather."
Cons: "For the weather to be better and to have left on time - but obviously that is out of everyone’s control."

Cons: "It took almost an hour from landing for our luggage to make it to the belt. For a domestic flight, this is really poor."

Pros: "Flight was quiet and uneventful. Kudos to the pilots."
Cons: "Our flight from YEG to YYZ was delayed by over an hour. Normally this wouldn't bother us, as we did not have a chance to get flight, however, we felt we were deceived and lied to by Air Transat at the gate. Specifically, the staff at the gate indicated that our flight would be delayed "intentionally" according to airline policy, to take advantage of favourable tailwinds to get the flight to YYZ on time. This explanation maked no sense, and was unfounded from a cursory Google search. When we finally boarded an hour later, the captain on the flight indicated that the plane was actually LATE arriving to YEG from a previous flight. I'm not expecting any specific reimbursement for the inconveniences to us or our family picking us up, but we and other customers should NEVER be decieved. If the flight is late, tell us, and indicate whether connecting flights (for those that have them) will be withheld or not or to make appropriate arrangements if otherwise not possible."

Pros: "It left fairly promptly. Service was efficient. The seat was comfortable."

Cons: "flight was delayed in both directions; very few announcements; the crew were ok, but there was not much service in the hour we waited foe the plane to take off and during the flight"

Pros: "Boarding was good and the crew were helpful/friendly."
Cons: "Flight delayed 3 hours. Aisle Seat narrow and was hit a lot every time someone went bye so there was no napping for me however since it was a direct flight and only 3 hours I would take it again. I was glad when we landed."

Cons: "The food was catastrophic, just mush."

Pros: "Boarding started from the back to the front. Which, I always thought it's the correct way to embark and it was the first time I saw it done that way."
Cons: "When the boarding was finallly finalized the airplane was ready to take off on the track for about an hour and a half and no one was told why we weren't taking off. I decided to ask and the flight attendant said that "it took long to embark all the luggage and that it won't be very long". To which, I didn't understand what one thing had to do with the other since that shouldn't be the cause to why we are paralized on the track but I just left it like that. Instantly after she walks to the back, they announce that they there was a problem with the A/C and that we had to wait to have a spot near a gate sothat we could go back and and a mecanic could come and fix it. After it took for ever... they finally fixed it but now we had to wait for gas. At this point, whitin those three hours, only one glass of water was offered to us and no appology. Thankfully, we finally took off, 3 three hours and a half behind schedule. They started to serve food and drinks to first class people and were completely taken care of but no attention to all the other passengers. At this point it's been 5 hours that we are on this plane and it seems that the service was extremly slow to get us hydraded or been offered anything to eat. My flight was 4hours away from Montreal to Calgary initiallyT And this whole event made it an 8hour travel with, the fact being completely ignored by the crew and nothing being offered for customer satisfaction. The pilot only said a small "we apologize" after we had already landed. It isn't the first time that I fly with this company and I find that it used to be one of the top companies in Quebec but the service and the quality have deteriorated overtime. There is always something negative that happens when I fly with them and I've noticed that the customer service isn't really present. It's okay but since it doesn't seem to matter to them, I will no longer fly with this company. (P.S.: this whole event caused me to miss the last bus to my final destination and have to wait at the airport until the next day at 9:30am to take the first bus in the morning... luckily I only work in the afternoon.)"

Cons: "No plug ,no inflight entertainment ,uncomfortable sits and crew was not overly friendly"

Cons: "Delayed flight, no snacks, difficulty at baggage claim to get baby car seats. And very frustrating that they didn’t give us our stroller at the gate. We had to carry our two kids through immigration and the baggage claim until after all the bags came off, then our stroller and car seats came last!"

Cons: "Seats and legroom are insufficient."

Pros: "The quality of the aircraft, the in flight entertainment, the space, the courteous flight attendants."
Cons: "No priority boarding for families with small kids, delayed flight and more importantly, the stroller was not delivered at the aircraft. This is a major inconvenience as I had to carry my son in my arms for a pretty long way. There is a reason you know why parents choose to bring a stroller and that includes having the stroller through the airport."

I thought the problem was with the machine, went to the agent same problem. they gave me that number +18553331101 to chek with the air transat customer care, they couldn't find the reservation either, I tried then to call the number provided on the reservation confirmation +18774964815, no answer, even the flight was delayed for almost 30 minutes, I still couldn't get on board. Now I'm still at the airport looking for a flight to leave. my question now is after all of that are you guys still going to charge my card that $226.43?"

Cons: "Our flight from Barcelona was late and we had to rush across the airport to get the connection to Toronto. By the time we landed it was almost time for the Toronto flight to depart. No information was given to the passengers when we landed informing them that the Toronto flight was waiting for us. No information was given by the ground staff either, just told to drop your checked bag off and get to the gate and hope the flight was still there. Would have been a lot less stressful if someone had said "don't worry, the Toronto flight is waiting for you""

Pros: "We paid extra for the options plus on this flight, which meant that we were able to choose our seats, we were given snacks, bottles of wine with our meal, blankets, pillows, face masks and headphones. Everyone else had to pay for these items on flight (if they wanted them). As a result we felt like royalty."
Cons: "Unfortunately you can never escape the family with the screaming baby..."

Pros: "Very helpful to families with small kids. On our flight to Europe which wasn't too busy, they even left middle seats free so my kids could sleep whole night. Smooth landing. No significant delays. Good price for family vacation to Europe that includes checked bag, and meals during flight. They nickel and dime on other stuff but if you prepare yourself (bring extra clothes or a blanket, own headphones) you'd be fine. Considering how much I saved by driving to Toronto to take their flight instead of flying from Cleveland (US$3500 for the family of 4) I am super happy with what I got for my money."

Cons: "* Not able to check in on line due to Kayak was provider. * Too much time spent on pushing the duty free goods. * Felt like the trolley came down more times than food or drink. * Long line to check in. * Wasn't able to use entertainment App even though I had pre-loaded the App. It asked for my confirmation number but I didn't have one because of the Kayak booking. With other airline, flight attendant was able to over ride. This time flight attendant said she couldn't do it. I felt she really didn't care."

Pros: "They gave us water when we had to wait an hour before take off. It was not their fault we were delayed. They did wait for the 30 of us who were delayed from Lyon and did not take off without us."
Cons: "They did not answer my call (s) for water to take a pill. They never offered anyone earphones. There were no services at all on this flight as the seat belt sign was on the whole time."

Pros: "Comfortable seating, good entertainment selection available and drink provided on short flight."
Cons: "Delay and disorganization at airport left passengers frustrated with at least 3 changes to gate prior to departure. Added to this was the incorrect announcement on P.A. System at 6:55pm a change of gate to leave at original time (7pm), only to have a stampede of passengers arrive at newly assigned gate to have no airline representative there and soon a new/revised departure time of 21:05 instead. Hopefully, those clients with international connections were able to make it, but I suspect that several had their plans changed with this > 2 hour delay."

Pros: "The flight was not full so I had lots of extra space. Really great value for the plane ticket price."
Cons: "The emergency exit seats were very slimmer than other airplanes. There was a lot of leg room, but at the waist it felt like someone was holding me. (36 inch waist, male). Overall not bad."

Cons: "Possibly the tightest pitch of any airline seats that I've ever flown on. I'm short but I felt cramped, so I'm sure the 182 meter man next to me was really suffering."

Cons: "the blankets weren't free and neither was the alcohol. the flight would have been better if i could have been so intoxicated that i had no recollection of it. It was the most turbulent and we had to wait so long to get a run way and when we landed to get a terminal. I thought you guys planned this stuff ahead of time?"

Cons: "Ran out of vegetarian food options very early. Ran out of cookies. Advertised that we could use wifi services on the plane, but because I did not download the app beforehand, I could not use it."

Pros: "Not much, with the exception that they got me to Puerto Plata."
Cons: "I paid my flight 426$ on kayak for a one way trip to Puerto Plata. I'm leaving for 5 weeks,therefore I will need some clothes and necessities during my stay. When I get to airport to check my bags at the Air Transat counter, they charge me 300$ for my second suitcase. Normal according to attendant. 15$/kilo over 20 kilos. Nice! 726$ for a one way trip. Crooks with a license."
