Pros: Great location for walking to shops and restaurants. Beautiful rich dark woodwork with lots of character and history to the hotel. Staff and security were awesome!!! Very clean and beds were very comfortable. The walls were soundproof. Everything was in good condition with beautiful decor. Good source of hot water for showers. Buffet breakfast with omelette bar was superb! Restaurant and bars were high quality. Spa and exercise area was a nice plus, but I did not take advantage of these services.
Cons: Internet needs improved to be of the same quality of the rest of the hotel ... needs higher-speed internet services. My ability to work on the internet was hit or miss.

Pros: It is an old hotel built in the seventies but it is kept in a very good condition. Being a local brand, this hotel is preferred by politicians and used for governmental events. The reception and ballrooms are always filled with politicians, ministers, ambassadors, etc.. There are several restaurants, bars, meeting rooms in the hotel which will provide you with a variety of places to eat, have a drink and chill-out. Being a favorite place for governmental events so the level of security is high which is an important aspect in Nairobi. Pros: Breakfast every morning, internet was fast enough to do work from the hotel (doing online conference calls, vpn, etc), located in quiet area away from bars with less road traffic. Overall i thought the price was incredible forthe value. Ive only ever stayed in the hilton when travelling to nairobi, but i will definitely return to best western henceforth.

Pros: The value pricing and food were really nice. The service of the staff was exceptional. The rooms are dated and could use an upgrade but the staff and food make up for it. The checkin staff and guest relations executive was very helpful and made the stay pleasant. All the staff n posters are attentive and helpful, late night checkin staff provide service equal to a 5 star.
Cons: The dated rooms, the location is good for the price. The mattresses could use an upgrade and the the ac could use a cleaning, it’s functions fine thought. The rooms are dated thought and glass door and glass panel on the wall aren’t that great. Normal wall would do a better job of keeping noise of the bathrooms insulated from the room.

Pros: Staff and location are fabulous. Restaurant was good. The rooms were some of the most comfortable and spacious that I've stayed in Africa. Lovely experience overall.
Cons: There were other visitors being very loud in the halls at night, to the point where I woke up after I had been fast asleep. I called reception to see if they could do anything about the noise; they said they would. However, the noise continued.

Cons: Rooms were not clean , especially the bathrooms sheets not changed while there and water boiler went out had to take a shower in cold water and staff seemed not to care and did not offer a sincere apology or explanation and hotel was booked so no other acccomadations available. Restaurant food not the best, menu the same all week Service was poor nor friendly and took at least an hour or more to get food and anything else asked for we had to wait for and received usually when we no longer desired them. My son ordered ribs and it was very fatty and we complained but all they was stated was the cook would be notified. Ordered hamburger plain when receiver after an hour of waiting it was brought with everything on it . Took back and waited over40 min we cancelled it and manager said it was almost done to please take it , inspire of us telling her we no longer wanted it and tired of waiting .

Pros: The staff are extremely well trained I don't know why this hotel is not starred as luxury. I enjoyed all bits of conversations with the people who worked at Sarova Panafric. It sits in a quiet neighbourhood right next to Uhuru Park a 250 KSH (Uber) taxi ride away from Westlands, and within 10 mins' stroll (only during the day though) to Central Business District which has supermarkets for any daily needs. The complimentary breakfast is hearty. The hotel provided for me a quiet getaway from the busy daily life, while offering all conveniences at hand. Value for money.
Cons: There is nothing I found to be lacking from this hotel. The parent hotel Sarova Stanley has a great authentic decor from the old colonial times, but it can be visited from Panafric.

Pros: I arrived to the hotel a little under the weather and was blown away with how much everyone cared for me. People made me ginger tea, and even checked on me! So above and beyond. I left 100% betterr, well rested from the comfortable bed, and with a big smile on my face! Thanks for going the extra mile and making my stay so awesome and comfortable!! I truly didn’t want to leave.

Pros: New, and on an excellent location. Hotel staff are very thoughtful and nice. Hotel rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Lounge, bad and restaurant are a good place to sit and relax. Had to pass a few gates and security personnel so I trust it is secure too.
Cons: Unfortunately at the time of staying pool, spa, gym were still under construction. Expected to be open in November 2014. Hotel offered free head and shoulder massage in the lobby to compensate which was very nice.

Cons: The service at this hotel is absolutely haphazard. Some evenings they do the turndown some evenings they don't, the same for water, tea, minibar, etc. It seems the staff there have no protocols for service delivery and they do things out of memory, and then forget to do things... it was really unpleasant. Also, the front desk never answers the phone!

Pros: I was coming from a very remote area of Kenya. Everything from the man who picked me up at the airport to the concierge to the lovely room to the man who took me back to the airport was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Cons: Room was small, bland, and surprisingly run down. Rust through the shower (which was missing its shower head - water dribbled out of the pipe). Sink & toilet in only marginally better state. Plaster smeared haphazardly over floor & corners of fixtures/bath. You come to expect shoddy worksmanship living in these parts, but didn't think I'd see it on this scale in a Hilton.
