The location was great and the staff was very friendly. They had citrus water in the lobby and the bartender there made the best Pimms Cup I’ve ever had. The beds are comfy and you don’t hear any street noise since the area is quieter than the French Quarter. It is an doable walking distance from the French Quarter and also just a 2-3 min walk from the street car line...although don’t rely on the street cars to get you anywhere on a timetable. Especially on the weekends. They have a computer stand in the lobby if you need to print out tickets or anything.
If you are looking for a relaxing getaway where you sleep in past 9am, then this is not the hotel for you. The housekeeping staff starts their rounds before 9am and bang in and out of each room several times before moving on. I could hear them even when we’re on the other side of the floor. Also, unless you are out of the room by 8:30 and stay out until 8pm, they won’t clean your room. I stayed here for a relaxing getaway four 4.5 days and only had the room serviced once...after we had to ask to have it done on the third day.
It was clean, comfortable, and the staff members were very kind and helpful.
When you first walk into the Omni Riverfront the lobby is very very upscale with the bar being right there also the staff was excellent with William at the bar and I know I'm going to say her name wrong but we checked in later in the evening and raylon was absolutely the best and we do a fair amount of traveling and she was absolutely friendly and fantastic she almost made me cancel my other reservations for the rest of my stay to stay at the Omni Riverfront they are blessed to have her
Everything was perfect
It would have been helpful to have clear instructions regarding the fact that an airport shuttle should be booked 24 hours in advance. I was not aware and had to order a cab.
When we arrived door service was great but the front desk lady was very disrespectful. We arrived a couple hours early before our original check in time at 3 and it seemed like she was bothered by a previous incident. No eye contact and we could barely hear her speak because she spoke so low. The overall stay was mediocre, the last night fire alarms continued to go off through out the night making it extremely hard to get a good rest.
Great hotel, quiet location
We enjoyed staying at the Omni. Very comfortable beds, courteous staff. Hotel is located away from all the hustle and bustle but still within walking distance of everything. There was an outlet center right across the street which was great too.
I thoroughly enjoyed my first trip to New Orleans, and our lodging was a big part of it. The room was clean, very comfortable bed. All of the staff was very helpful, the concierge gave us many tips.
Very nice helpful staff! Everything we wanted to see and do was pretty much within walking distace. It was nie to have a mall across the street!!!
walking distance to French Quarter, Downtown, & R
Just outside the French Quarter
great as always
Everything. Omni always rules
Everything was exceptional
Overall the room was nice, the staff was friendly, and the building and our room were very clean.
We had booked a deluxe king size room and when we got to our room it was two double beds. The woman that checked us in had made no mention of the fact tat it wasn't what we reserved. When we called down to switch they told us there was none available. We had only booked the hotel because we wanted a king or queen size bed and had made the reservation selecting that option 2 hours before arriving.
Very convenient location - right across from the Riverwalk and down the street from Harrah's, Fulton Alley, and the Convention Center. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. Didn't try the restaurant downstairs as my fiance and I were out and about most of the day. I would definitely stay here again!
The door to our bathroom was positioned in such a way that there was a huge gap between the wall and the door. When you were taking a shower, steam could escape and if you were in there long enough, the fire alarm would go off. That was a pain, but other than that, it was a wonderful stay!
