They upsold me saying they didn’t have the car I reserved. What are yo supposed to do when you’re stuck and you need a car? I didn’t want to pay more but had really no choice. And the rep said they’ve been having problems with the website. She refused to take into consideration that it’s not my problem that they are having issues with the website.

The windshield wipers were so bad that it was a significant safety hazard. I was caught in a rainstorm on 12/23/21 going over the grapevine in CA and it was so dangerous I had to pull over several times. The windshield was like looking through two or three layers of wet plastic wrap. I couldn't find a store open, otherwise I would have purchased replacement blades myself. I was scared to death to drive this van. When I called on 12/26 to complain, the manager of the store told me (verbatim)! "This was the first big rainstorm of the year and we have no way of testing or knowing if the windshield wipers work or not." I swear, that is exactly what she said. When I told her how frightening it was, she even disclosed that SHE rented a car from her location and had to purchase wiper blades for the vehicle.They offered me a discount on my next rental. No thank you! I'm not dumb enough to ever want to rent from these jokers again. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Customer service was terrible I tried to report a accident for 4-5day over Mother’s Day weekend I kept getting put on hold or disconnected

Cons:

If they had made more than one attempt to resolve the problem I would never rent with hertz again &wsnt my$back

At first they gave us an electric car that would not charge. We bought it back the next day, and they exchanged it for a gas car mustang, which worked great.

Picking up was great - Beverly from Elk Grove was sweet and professional. Dropping off in Las Vegas yesterday (Fri, 5/19/23) has been a total disaster. I am still waiting for my receipt and $200 credit in return (got charged $509 for a $309 rental). Stood in line for an hour with just one person working. I asked for a receipt and the Filipina lady with glasses told me that she couldn’t close me out because there’s a long line and she has to go herself to check on the car. I showed her my date-stamped pics of the gas tank (which was full) and mileage along with the parking spot and told her that I got Loss Damage Waiver. She kept telling me to just leave and not to worry, and that she will email me the receipt later when the line is clear. She also assured me it was fine that I was dropping it off at Wynn even though the contract indicated Encore (sister hotel), which gives you the Wynn Hertz address when you Google it. I called this morning and this guy is now claiming that I didn’t return the car with a full tank of gas, which I did and took pictures of it at the Hertz parking spot (you can also check with the garage to see what time the car got in, which would coincide with the time of my pictures - right before 1 pm). He says the car is already on the road and he cannot check for the details of my rental. He refuses to give me a receipt and tells me that he has to wait for the same lady to come into the office to ask her about everything. This is completely absurd. The experience has been awful. I want my $200 credit back ASAP.

It was the worst experience ever. When reached there for the SUV that I booked, they did not have the SUV. They told us to wait till afternoon so that they may arrange it. But to our disappointment, they were never able to find it and constantly told me that I can use two Sedan rather than an 8 seater SUV. They ruined our trip and had to cancel hotel bookings. I would suggest always talk to the enterprise directly before booking but still there would be any guarantee that you would be able to rent a car. I would always prefer other options like touro

Cons:

Booked for SMF airport and your system relocated my pick up elsewhere in Sacramento and had the return back to Sac rather than Oakland. Disaster won’t be using your service again. Took me 3 hrs to get another car and on the road AND paid $122 per day instead of 70. 💩 phew

Cons:

Kayak quoted me around $400 to rent a car for the specified period of time. When I arrived at the Enterprise location, they told me that the cheapest option they had available was going to cost around $900 (including insurance). I had no choice because of the situation I was in, but I was incredibly disappointed that Kayak's quote was so far off. If I had known it would have cost that much, I absolutely would not have rented from this location. I will probably not be using Kayak anymore.

I couldn’t pick up my car because the location closed at noon and our flight arrived at 5pm. This was Saturday and the location didn’t reopen until Monday. Non-refundable and non-changeable. I will only book directly with the rental company. I will not use kayak. Cost me $1400 for a car I didn’t get to use!
