Agent at desk had to change rate because it default to yvr and I had booked S. Terminal at a lower rate. Not told that Abbotsford you parked and walked into counter to drop keys/form.

When I returned the car, I was given a receipt which showed that I owed CAD 477.99 From looking at the charges, it states that I had a prepayment voucher for CAD 1496.25 This was never discussed with me - in fact the rental agreement has this amount of 477.99 scribbled out by the AVIS service person So I was indeed surprised to find that on returning the car, I was charged this amount. I could submit the rental agreement form with the alteration (if required) Kevin Walsh

Supplier choice

Make sure to take pictures of the vehicle, any noticeable damage before you even drive it. Then provide those photos whenever you drop it off. There was damage on my vehicle if I did not document them I would have been charged for it. Other than that, everything was good.

Pros:

Staff were friendly, the car was nice, and I was told they hold the car regardless of when you show up.

Cons:

There wasn't an opportunity to mark down if the car had scratches or damage when you picked it up.

I wanted to make an adjustment to my pick up time at Vancouver but as I had booked through an agent I could not get Thrifty recognise my booking either by phone or through the web portal. Very frustrating nit to be able to talk to a human and explain my situation.

I wouldn't say it was fantastic, hate it when they try to sell you extra insurance. When you already have it. Ordered a wildcard for 2 large cases they said I didn't. Hidden costs I proberly got charged for that I don't know of.

My wife broke her wrist enroute to Canada requiring surgery in Fiji. At pick up I asked Dollar to change name of driver to mine. They said that the booking agent would not pay them if they didn't charge me NZD289 as an additional driver. In the circumstances I thought this totally unreasonable.

I called several times to arrange an airport drop off (unbeknownst to me booking was for a remote location drop-off) but was told it was not possible. Upon bringing car back to remote location (cutting into vacation time) I was told it would be better to return it to the airport which I ended up doing the following day. Get it together!!! Grrrrrr.

We were given a free upgrade to an EV. Unfortunately, there were several EV related charges added to my bill. Very difficult to contact Hertz. They only want online messages sent. I did that on Monday and have not heard back yet, while the amount was, of course, already charged to my credit card.

the young lady was at hertz seems very unprofessional. she did not mentioned that how to drop off car keys or she did not mentioned that how much money they will charge on my credit card. they did not give any explanation. she just hand over the keys to me and get my signature. even when i asked her question she answer that question falsefully. the another co worker interrupted her and corrected answer. worse experience ever
