To be honest I had a lack of an experience because they did not have a car for me. They called and left a message the day before telling me to call before I went to the office because they did not have any cars and did not know if they would have any cars the following morning either. I called and was informed that they still did not have any cars, and did not know when they would get any, despite knowing that cars were available at the airport. So my option was to wait until they had cars with no timeline attached, or go directly to the airport. The reason I chose that office is because it was close to where I was going to be and if I went to the airport, I might as well have stayed there all day as I had a flight that night. The whole reason for getting a car was to have transportation and enjoy Seattle for a day before my flight home. Horrible customer service!

Budget did not have a car for us and we were stranded in Seattle. The pick up site permanently closed and we were not notified. We were trying to get home to my daughter who was in the hospital and they did not help or accommodate. We couldn’t find an available rental in the whole city and didn’t have a place to stay. It was the worst travel experience we have ever had. I will not be using Kayak or Budget ever again and will be filing formal complaints.

I was on a late flight thus when arrived at Thrifty counter was near 9pm on Jun/3rd, 2025. Thrifty counter staffs were very efficient in helping all customers get their rental vehicle. The staff who assist me, Anthony, was exceptionally helpful in explaining my rental condition, fuel options, additional insurance, etc. This is one of the best experiences I enjoyed in car rental in the U.S..

It took at least 15 minutes after picking up the car and getting behind the wheel to exit the hertz parking lot because of some apparently new proprietary gates that were poorly staffed. After returning the car began receiving daily emails and text messages claiming damage to the car based upon imaging technology that claims to identify dents, photos that show no visible damage and demanding a deposit! to begin the repair process. It’s a scam!

Waited nearly two hours to pick up the vehicle. The facility was understaffed, only two people were managing the front desk and one of them was clearly more competent than the other. Our vehicle was fine but hadn’t been cleaned super well, likely as a result of rushing. Will not use this Hertz location again.

Enterprise good. Helpful. The Kayak web site was deceiving. I clearly requested a pick up/drop off SeaTac airport. What I got was a trip to lite rail,exit Northgate, bus to Enterprise. Then reverse it for return.

Didn’t get the car I requested (was relying on AWD since I had to go over a few mountain passes). They were short staffed so I elected not to have it cleaned. To make up for that they said they’d mark the gas tank as empty so I wouldn’t have to return full, which the receiving office didn’t honor. (They said someone with Enterprise would call to straighten that out since they really want satisfied customers. They didn’t call). I bought the extra insurance for three days but didn’t get refunded a portion since I brought it back a day early. All around not so great.

The website allowed me to book the car rental for 5 pm. Well the rental place closed at 5pm! I got there after 5 pm and was not able to get the car. I called Avis and they said I needed to get there by 4:59pm to get the car rental. I had to go all the way to the airport which made the rental more expensive than it already was. The lady at the counter was very rude. The no debit card rule for renting a car from an airport location is ridiculous, Not all of america lives off of credit cards!

The staff in Seattle (pick up location) didn’t honor the reservation. We book a bmw suv, but he was going to give me a 4 doors sedan, a much smaller car. His excuse was that they didn’t have the suv I booked. He said I either get a smaller car or he would cancel my reservation. I asked him if I could talk to his manager but he was rude and waked away. He walked back 5 minutes later and said he checked but there was still no suv. He sternly said if I didn’t like the smaller car, he would cancel my reservation and stated I had no other options. I once again said if he didn’t give me the suv I booked I would report him to kayak since he wouldn’t let me talk to his manager. He then realized I wouldn’t give in so he finally gave me the suv I booked. His excuse was that the car wasn’t available earlier. However, he also gave me the option earlier if I wanted the suv, I would have to pay more. The car was obviously there the entire time but he didn’t want to honor my reservation. It was the worse experience I ever had with a rental car company. I couldn’t pick up the car until 45 minutes later than my reservation

The order was placed through your platform with Europcar, in reality it was with FOX, which excluded themselves from any and all other arrangements. They could tell me if insurance was added to the rental. And after I had discovered that it in fact was not added, it could not be added later on. We took the car for 26 hours and ended up paying 210$ I will not use your service again.

Couldn’t Rent rhe car and my card got charged twice .. very very poor experience Kayak and appears there are so many intermediaries that no one actually cares about the customer .. utter rubbish! I have to follow up and chase my money and eventually booked directly with Avis .. not going to use your platform ever again. It’s all a joke! And I am sure no one who actually cares will do anything about it so not sure why you do these surveys and waste time !!!
