It was a complete disaster and the manager refused to chat with me.Reviewed 16 Jul. 2022

I arrived Saturday around noon and there was only one person in line in front of me. I had a very friendly person at the counter. He did tell me they do not accept the 3rd party insurance I had purchased through Allianz but they took the name of my regular car insurance to use instead. This was fine for me but could be a problem for someone who doesn’t have car insurance back home. When I went to get my car instead of being a small Chevy spark hatchback I had reserved it was a ginormous SUV. I went back to the desk and they weren’t able to give me a small economy but they gave me a brand new 2022 Toyota RAV4 hybrid. I was in Alaska for the weekend but had rented a compact since it was what I could afford. It was great to have the RAV4. Upon return check out took about 1 minute and was easy. Overall, I had a decent experience and lucked out on the economy cars being overbooked :)Reviewed 12 Apr. 2022

The gentleman who helped us was great but the hassle with insurance turned into a big fiasco because my insurance didn’t show the exact word “comprehensive liability” which took an extra hour. Might book with another company next go around.Reviewed 26 Mar. 2022

Agent kept trying to upsell which was irritating. Studded tires in a winter location should be mandatory and not cost extra. Gave me a car with no windshield wiper fluid! So unsafe with the weather/road conditions. Had to buy some and put it in. When I returned the car, the agent seemed to not care at all. No apology or anything.Reviewed 29 Dec. 2021

I reserved a mid-sized SUV for $399, but when I arrived they didn’t have anything that size. Instead of upgrading me for the same price they told me that I had reserved a vehicle without AWD and that to rent that vehicle it would be $579. I think this is poor practice and that I was taken advantage of.Reviewed 12 Nov. 2021

I reserved a full size truck. When I arrived at the counter all they had to offer me was a small truck or a minivan and told me they send all their trucks south for the winter. Then why was I allowed to reserve one?? I paid for insurance too on this rental but since thrifty false advertises I went next door to Avis. P.s. I paid for insurance on the thrifty rental through your site. I was charged for it even though I never rented that vehicle.Reviewed 26 Oct. 2021

Pickup wasn’t easy. Probably more due to Anchorage set up than Thrifty. Drop off tried to charge me $60-something for 1/8 of a tank. I just filled up the tank at the gas station 25 feet away. Thankfully I had printed a receipt. How many people do they do this to? Will not rent from Thrifty again for this reason.Reviewed 10 Oct. 2021

The location left me on hold for over 1.5 hours and I finally gave up. The car was very dirty inside. The windshield wipers were so worn out it was easier to see through the windshield without using them. The good news is that the check out and check in were quick and easy at ANC airport.Reviewed 26 Aug. 2021

Cost of rental was super high but we were in Alaska and there was a shortage of vehicles so we were glad to at least get a rental. Our vehicle was new and clean and awesome. And pickup/drop off was very convenient. So great experience overallReviewed 23 Aug. 2021

I had called about check in time for rental car because my print out said 12n for pickup which was an error, since plane got in at 7p. I was told by the representative that wasn’t a problem, that the reservation would be held till 12m. When I got to the counter, I was told that the reservation was cancelled after 4hrs past time (12n), the exact thing I had called about. I did get a car, but at a higher rate. I am not pleased with this outcome.Reviewed 16 Aug. 2021

The truck was amazing, perfectly clean TRD Tacoma, badass truck. However, the $350 I had to hand over for a one day rental was absolutely outrageousReviewed 26 Jul. 2021
