Thought I was getting a Celica, got there and was told I would get a Kia Soul, not a comfortable car, so they upgraded me for more money of course to a Nissan Rogue, nicer car of course but cost more.Reviewed 6 Mar 2024

The clerk that assisted my brother and I wasn’t very friendly. There was a long line that morning and he appeared disgruntled during our transaction. I selected the manager’s choice when I made the reservation which he mentioned at the counter. I explained I needed a small vehicle if available for local driving. He handed the contract over which specified the estimated charges, including deposit, and the vehicle model and space number. The vehicle was in good condition. There were no other problems until I returned the car where no one was available to check in the vehicle and I was told to just leave the keys and I’d be emailed a receipt. So I left. The problem was when I got the emailed receipt. I was charged a higher amount that the original contracted stated plus an additional hour. I immediately called customer service which is where it got worse. The rep stated I was charged a different rate because I left with a different car. I explained I never had a different car, I selected managers’s choice and I was given a mid-size vehicle, per the clerk. He insisted that was the reason which I politely negated. I specified the rates and total amount on my contract because he still seemed confused. I also asked why I was charged an additional hour if I dropped the car off on time. He proceeded to review everything until he concluded a mistake was made and that I’d be getting a refund for the difference. I asked for email confirmation and he said he couldn’t provide that, that I’d have to review my receipt online in 24-48 hours to see the change. The entire process felt like I was an inconvenience rather than trying to resolve the inconvenience of a mistake made on Thrifty’s behalf. I don’t trust anything was handled properly and that I’ll have to call back to correct it. My brother and I decided never to rent from Thrifty again.Reviewed 3 Oct 2023

Pros:The vehicle was great.Cons:Grace period to make a change cause sometimes we make mistakes at making the reservation and miss to enter the correct time. I tried calling as soon as I got my email confirmation that I made a mistake on the pick up time, I was screwed.Reviewed 2 Jun 2020

Cons:communication. My flight was delayed one hour meaning it landed at 11:20pm. I was concerned that thrifty would be closed by then so I called to confirm that same day. The person who answered said that the counter would be open 30 minutes after the flight lands no matter how late. I arrived at the counter 20 minutes after landing (20 minutes after the arriving at the gate) and sure enough they were closed meaning I had to rent elsewhere. Pros:The staff at the Hertz counter were very friendly and helpful.Cons:With an 11:00 PM pick up time scheduled It would have been nice to know that the Thrifty office closes at 11:30 PM, but that the Hertz office could help us. Our flight was delayed and we didn’t get to the rental car pick up location until after midnight. The person answering the toll free number didn’t refer us to the Hertz counter but gave us a number to call which was a dead end. Thankfully we went to the Hertz counter for help and they took great care of us.Reviewed 16 Dec 2019
