Pros: Rooms were very nice and the location was quite convenient to everything. I was in a queen suite with two nice tvs, refrigerator and microwave, and very comfortable beds. The walkout balcony was a bonus.
Cons: Valet parking could be difficult as there was only space for a few cars at a time. The bar at the bottom level was very popular, so much so that I wasn't allowed to enter as they were at capacity. I took my business elsewhere. The balcony door didn't seal super well, so there was a bit of a draft in that area.

Pros: Overall a nice old hotel, but I would not say that it is a luxury stay. Breakfast was very good and included with the cost of the room, so that was actually a treat Restaurant has a dress code, so keep that in mind before you pack.

Pros: We loved our stay at Hotel Rialto. The location is fantastic, it's in downtown Victoria and we were able to walk to pretty much everything except Butchart Gardens. Our room was clean and beautiful, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the food in the breakfast room was good. Parking was very close by in a reasonably priced garage (hourly, up to $12/day as of August 2015). I loved Victoria and plan to go back, and when I do I will stay at the Rialto!

Valet parking worth it ; $16/day anyways to park in the parkade nearby, so pay the $22 and they can park and bring you your car. Just call down or ask at front desk for when you want to pick it up.

Pros: A great place to hang out, have dinner, without having to leave the hotel. Place is clean, staff friendly. Great pricing for location. The jazz band during dinner was terrific. It was such a rainy day when I was there so it was nice that I could just go to the hotel restaurant. The food and drinks were fabulous! Right behind the Empress hotel and near shops.

Pros: We spent Christmas there and they provided us with a stocking on our door for Christmas Day. The staff was extremely helpful at every opportunity, and very responsive to our needs.
Cons: My only smallest complaint would be the expense. The hotel is very expensive, but the service largely drives that expense and it really made for a wonderful experience for me and my wife.

Cons: Not up to the standards of other Fairmont Hotels we've stayed in. They messed up our meal reservations and even messed up the correction, so we never did eat there. Some staff really didn't seem to know what they were doing or could even answer or questions properly and never offered to find anything our or get back to us.

Pros: This historic property welcomes you in the moment you step onto the property. The immediate attendance to your every need is immediately relaxing and makes you feel wanted. The location could not be better with the entire harbor visible form the front and every floor above as you exit your elevator. The entire city downtown is vibrant and easily walkable with something for every tase and experience.t

Cons: Reserved a room with a king bed. We were traveling from Seattle via the clipper that couldn't sail due to the marine forecast. Once we realized our trip was going to take 7 hours via buss to reach the hotel, I called to notify that we would be arriving late and was assured my room would be ready and that we would have a king bed, not 2 doubles. We arrived at the hotel and no king beds were available. But then the representative said I could upgrade for $40 more per night and beaten down by the 7 hour trip I agreed to pay the fee. Then we get the bill and it was $60 + $4.85 PST + $1.21 MRDT + $3.03 GST. I understand that the taxes are what the are but should have been quoted them and the hotel should have honored the quote made on arrival. I was offered $10 per night discount by the manager but still feel mislead. As a Marriott rewards customer for years and one who has stayed at Marriott properties all over the world, I will not be returning to this property. The maid service was also poor. The room was not vacuumed nor were the sheets ever changed on our 3 night stay. Additionally when we arrived there was left over spoiled food in the fridge. Lastly they did not replace plates and silverware in the kitchenette and when we came back to the room with takeout, we had to eat out of plastic containers. I do not recommend this property. If you are accustom to Marriott service and hospitality, you will not find it here.

Cons: They charge $11/day to park 4 blocks away - wow! They have a small area in front of the hotel to pull your car in to drop bags off. But 2 cabs were parked there when I got there, so I had to walk 4 blocks with my bags, through crowds of people. Ridiculous situation. Also, the bar/restaurant is too small for the hotel.

Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable beds, great location, nice restaurant, warm pool.
Cons: When booking a room I received a very difficult person on the phone. I expected the same upon arrival but received a very warm reception. The room next to the elevator was not ideal, however I wouldn't expect that at any hotel. Next time I stay I will request. The furthest rom for the elevator.

Pros: Clean, central and close to downtown areas as well as tourist areas. This is the second time I've stayed here and it also has a decent garage. There is a "fitness" facility but it is the size of a closet and the "pool" is big enough to fit a couple kids.
Cons: Right on Blanshard so close to traffic and noise. The other hotel guests were rude, loud and obnoxious. Was difficult trying to get a good nights rest.

Pros: Staff were great and helpful, location was good for downtown access. Pretty good value for peak time in July. I was adjacent to the Main Street and it was much quieter than I expected.
Cons: WiFi was in and out. Stairs were difficult to find.

Pros: Location was great, staff were great
Cons: Bed was rock hard. Found hair in the bed and in bathroom, didn't look very clean and stayed for 2 nights and no one came to clean the room

Pros: Great location! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room had cable TV and WiFi but no frills. Still, it was clean and in a great location and we had a wonderful time.

Pros: Booking late on Canada Day weekend doesn't leave a lot of options. Just glad to be able to get a room. Staff was helpful.
Cons: Very dated and well worn. First room smelled like it was an 80's Cadillac full of smoke and air freshener trees but the staff was able to switch us to a somewhat better room even though they were booked solid.
