My experience with Avis was horrible. They did not have a car for a reservation I made well in advance, and they could not honor my reservation at a comparable price for the same day. The best they could do was give me a car the next day, which was untenable since I made the reservation for the date I actually needed the vehicle. Also, the Avis employee at the location said that they're always behind on Fridays and that it must be my first time renting from them if I didn't know that. Needless to say, it was my first time renting from Avis and it will also be my last.Reviewed 22 Aug. 2022

On the afternoon before the morning of my rental next day . I receive an email confirming my rental . Then an hour later I received a text message no rental I booked this rental on March 22. So at the last minute I am trying to find a rental for 8 people as we are driving to Florida. So I could loose my Rental Disney trips etc . It took me over 3 hours lots of calls to find one . Which I had to rental a day early and pay for two extra days due to closed . So I paid for an extra three days . The following day at 11i received a car that they had a rental for me . Really I want a reimbursement for a three day rental for a van as that’s what I had to take . This is a horrible experience please feel free to contact me as I would never rental again from you all and happy to share my experiences with social mediaReviewed 4 Jul. 2022

I need someone to contact me in regards to my rental. The service was extremely poor. The vehicle had mechanical failure and was shocking me on Sunday after I put in the charger. I went past the local office and they denied me help. I spoke with roadside assistance. They jeopardize my health. I need someone to follow up I was over charged as well. Pros:Staff friendly.Cons:The car was not clean when I picked up. I saw visible fingerprints on GPS screen, crumbs in the cup holder, and stains on both front seats. About 45 min into my 4 hour drive back to NY, the “!” Icon began to flash indicating the back right tire was low on air. I don’t typically drive so had no idea how to put air in tires or how much. Called Roadside assistance and was on hold forever. Luckily a cop pulled up at the gas station and was able to help me. These things should be checked before customers drive off w the cars. During COVID pandemic I feel that cleanliness should be a priority!Reviewed 17 Jul. 2020

DifficultPros:Nothing.Cons:First, the office was difficult to locate since it is in a shopping plaza not right on the road as it had been explained. When I returned the car after waiting for the agent to finish his phone call and acknowledge that I was there, the man at the counter was extremely rude. When I questioned the gas prepay refund I was instructed to take it up with the company. That he doesn’t represent the company and that it was expressed in the contract I had read and signed. At which point upon further questioning he provided said pamphlet. I was instructed that I should have read the fine print- and was again told to take it up with the company. Needless to say if I ever rent with Avis again I will be much more explicit in my requests since they obviously conveniently leave things out.Reviewed 21 Oct. 2017

CrooksPros:NothingCons:I went to the dealership and asked how much it would be, including insurance. The man ran my card, checked me in and then told me how much it was.
