First class amenities and staff. Would definitely stay here again. Interestingly, the lobby around the breakfast area has encased some of the original stonework of the several hundred year old building that was originally on the site.

Pros: This hotel is close to the train station so also has local train,tram and bus stops too. This means the older city and surrounds are very convenient to get to. A great location. This hotel and the staff just go that bit further to make your stay pleasurable. A shoe cleaning machine, a board with the days weather forecast, an offer of coffee if needed, newspapers including the english language NY Times. We were given early access to our room which we much appreciated. Staff also sell you the one day, two or three day passes for the trams. There are numerous eating options close by. Some open 24 hours.

The room was quite small and, oddly,the sink and the shower were notseparated fromm the room. The toilet was sepparated by a door but there was no sink in the toilet so a potentially unhygeneic situation prevails. The bed was comfortable and the furniture modern and pleasant. The hotel waived my parking fee because of the issues I raised below

Cons: The duvet cover had a hole in the uderside. The cabling for the min-bar was dangling over the desk and thoughout the night the mini bar flashed on and off.. The platten holding the sockets above the desk came away from the wall when I unplugged my computer. One of the curtains was not 'hooked' up to its curtain rail properly so dangling down. Breakfast was not due to end until 1030 but when arrived fro breakfast at 0800 95% 0f the tables were empty but littered with uncleared breakfast residue and the bacon, scrambled egg and mushrooms were cold.

Cons: The room was a bit tight, but really, we didn't need much more space for our short two night stay. There was plenty of room for us to move around with our luggage, a closet, a desk, and the bed. And the cleanliness and details made up for it!!! I would stay again.

Pros: novotel -kindly requested for an upgrade and was given one. thank you, alexis for being so helpful and for the restaurant tips! -stayed in room 515 (executive room), facing the street and some traffic noise and ambulance sirens could be heard although did not bother us too much as we are used, to it i suppose. windows could be opened wide to let fresh air in. -weird set up to toilet and shower, as it was separate to each other so you had to come out of the toilet to wash your hands in the next room. -nespresso machine and pods available. also instant coffee and tea making facilities. bluetooth speaker in room. -complimentary wifi very strong. -carrefour city in front of hotel for essentials. -comfortable bed and pillows. -great transport links. tram stop a 5minute walk. bus #1 is two streets away, direct line to the airport. transport fare: day pass €5, single fare €1.70. cards are rechargeable.

Cons: The breakfast could have been a bit better with more variety? There are lots of cheeses available so to only have one on offer? Guests were not encouraged to hold the baguette with a serviette before slicing etc. little things that could turn a nice Buffett breakfast into a great breakfast.

Pros: We stayed for two nights at Hotel la Maison from Friday 4th October. The rooms were very big and spacious and the staff such as Isabelle, Fabian and Marie were very hospitable and made our stay very welcoming. The town was walking distance to retail stores and bars. Cons: It was unfortunate that the power shower head was not working properly. We informed the front desk and they could not fix this immediately, as it would take some time, which was understandable. However, we continued to use the hand-held shower.

Cons: Overall a nice stay at this ibis in Bordeaux, however we asked to be moved to a different room on the second day as the first one was too hot to sleep (around 26 degrees C). The staff told us that the air conditioning is set by the hotel and is currently on “warm” only (I guess given the season). However the second room was much more pleasant in terms of temperature.

Pros: It is exactly like all other residences of this type all over France. Cons: Not much to complain about. The lifts are inadequate for the place which means that at peak times they stop at every floor and every time and it may take forever a) the lift to turn up at your floor (I gave up after 10 min) and b) to take you down. That is if you rely on the lift. There are stairs - clean, well lit.
