No contact received from Dollar after booking with KAYAK ! Had to phone to confirm they had booking. No clear instructions on where to go to get the car ( long walk as following airport signs was for returns only)! Only 1 car to choose from which had been cleaned poorly and upon checking it had not been refueled. Very unimpressed & will think long & hard about using KAYAK or Dollar again.Reviewed 20 Jul. 2022

I paid for the large Suv upfront. When I went to pick it up I was told I would get the smaller car because I didn’t have my credit card. I had my debit card. That made no sense. The 2 women at the counter in ft myers were so rude to me through this I would never rent from dollar again. Even besides the fact I was upset about this issue they were really horrible to deal with. I booked a small pickup truck as my rental. I was given a Chevrolet Colorado as my rental. The truck itself is a nice truck. This particular truck was pretty beat up with dents and scratches all over, all four tires were at different pressures and the low pressure light was on so I had to go to a tire shop and get the air adjusted in all tires, door trim on the drivers door was coming loose, the inside was dirty, the windows were absolutely filthy and the wiper blades were barely useful. I had to buy rain-x so that I can see. Very disappointed with this rental.Reviewed 14 Jun. 2022

Ugh! Pickup was frustratingly tedious! After waiting in line for 30+ minutes, the desk agent insisted on trying to upsell/“upgrade” our twice confirmed rental arrangement. We repeatedly explained we intended to stick with our original budget. All the while, as the line barely moved, there was a representative not assisting customers. Yet, she was all too ready to condescendingly explain the attempts to repeatedly upsell our agreement was “to improve our rental experience”. A more genuine way to improve our rental experience would have been to facilitate getting us out of the line and into cars! Drop off was expedient and a pleasure.Reviewed 9 May 2022

Customer service rep flat out lied about fuel pre-purchase. I was told that if I returned car with half a tank of gas I would be charged a "competitive rate" for missing fuel. I only drove 140 miles. I returned the car with a full tank and was charged $64.95 for fuel on top of the fuel I put in the tank. When I asked for a refund to my credit card, it was denied. BUYER BEWARE. Reps will upsell and over charge. The car itself was good, but the experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth.Reviewed 29 Apr. 2022
