The whole experience was horrible. I went to the rental counter after arriving, waited 30 mins in a queue of only a few people, only to be told my card couldn’t be accepted (Apple MC), nor could my debit (BoA). I made the reservation with this same card even. I was then told he could get me a good deal with another company offsite (Stop then Go). Same thing occurred to the people in line behind me. We wait for a shuttle to the offsite company and I did get a car. But at this point, I am hour behind schedule, and now no longer in the electric car I’d chosen with Dollar, and in a very basic gas Hyundai. And the Dollar rep said I’d have to contact Dollar myself to cancel the reservation I’d already paid for. So that was another chunk of my time spent dealing with it all, and now I have to wait like 10 days for the investigation into why I asked to cancel, before I get my money back for the car I was never given. An absolute nasty process overall, with no consideration for the customers time whatsoever.Reviewed 10 Oct 2023

Cons:The car really smelled bad of weed. I thought if I rolled the windows down it would air out so I took the car but nope. It was so strong and I noted it when I dropped the car back off. I don’t smoke weed so I thought it was horrible. I know it’s legal and I don’t care if people do but I don’t want to drive around all the time smelling it. It was really bad.Reviewed 29 Dec 2020

Pros:Easy to make a reservationCons:In times when the world is facing a pandemic, most business are trying to help and keep their costumers but Dolar does not. They do not refund money if you cancel a reservation due to COVID. I will not bring my business to them and will make sure to spread the word around.Reviewed 13 Oct 2020

Cons:We rented a full-size sedan and were offered a “free upgrade“ to a small SUV. It was not an upgrade as it was quite small, smelled terribly of cigarette smoke, and had been driven from PA to CA, as it had Pennsylvania plates, and was rather rickety (did not drive tight).
