I was given a smokers car. I should have taken it back but I didn't. At the end of the trip the fellow that checked me in dropped the price by $100 to compensate for the smell of the car.Reviewed 23 Apr. 2022

Check in and dropoff were great and car was fine. My only complaint is that it was never made clear nor explained to me that there would be a $500 hold placed on my debit card on top of the price of the rental. I understand the reasons for doing it, I just don't like that it was not explained to me at check in.Reviewed 22 Nov. 2021

Easy transport via shuttle to Dollar office. We walked right up to the desk. It seemed to take Forever but car rental Places always do. We got the car and realized that the numbers didn’t match the paperwork. Turns out the wrong tag was on the right car. That took awhile to straighten out but they did. Coke Machine was broken without a sign stating that but one of the ladies gave us 4 bottles of water which we really appreciated.Reviewed 19 Sep. 2021

Cost was insanely expensive, but all rent a cars are that way right now. Cars was a bit old too. Pick up in Hartford took forever, one worker checking in everyone for Dollar, Thrifty and Hertz. She was great, but it took a long time because she was by herself. Drop off in Portland was a mess. No one to check in cars. Still don’t have a receipt more than 24 hours after drop off.Reviewed 24 Jul. 2021

Pros:Quick shuttle from airport.Cons:Dollar and Hertz were combined which was confusing. Drop-off was time consuming as there was a line to drop-off the car and then only 1 shuttle to the airport so many people had to wait for multiple shuttle tripsReviewed 6 Jul. 2021

Cons:Our flight was delayed, landing us about 30 minutes after Dollar closed for the night. Before our flight departed, I called the Dollar location directly to inform them. If they wouldn’t be open, I was going to cancel my reservation and book with someone else who would still be there. They assured me it wouldn’t be an issue, and took down my flight information. As soon as we landed, I called again, and nobody answered. We waited for the bus to show, but it never did. They closed at their regular time, and left us stranded. Then, because we didn’t cancel before the time we were supposed to arrive, they refused to refund the money since we prepaid. I would not rent with Dollar again.Reviewed 22 Feb. 2021
