Pros:
Drop off was very easy once we found a location that was willing to help us. The Washington ave. Location in St. Louis was absolutely horrible and not willing to help us at all. We had reserved a van and they did not have any left once we arrived to pick it up.Cons:
We arrived at the Washington ave location in St. Louis and were told they didn’t have our van and it was our responsibility to find another location that had a van. Two minutes later the staff was helping another customer transfer their pickup to another location but couldn’t do the same for us?10.0 Wonderful

The rental agents were very professional and polite. But it was the ones who picked me up and dropped me off who really impressed me. Super friendly, amiable and interesting! Car was good, clean and relatively comfortable. Got great MPG.Cons:
"Maintenance reqd" light came on while driving through dense fog in the mountains. Was not near a place where I could pull off at the time, so was a little worrisome until I was able to get somewhere that I was able to establish that it was apparently nothing more than scheduled upcoming service.Hertz

They were closed but until you pay to street park in a busy downtown area, and walk all the way to the building to go in, you had no way to know to use a garage for drop off located right across the street. Even Hertz customer service didn't know about this garage. In basement of hotel so also hard to locate. Could have sign outside for convenience or tell people which garage to drop off in. Have to wait four days until they reopen to make sure everything's ok with check in. Anything could happen in a garage to the car in four days. Bad drop off process.7.2 Good

I walked in a few minutes after closing (didn’t realize it closed at 6) and the team there was kind and willing to accommodate me. They worked quickly to get me a rental and were friendly the whole time.Cons:

Cons:
I booked a car at one location for a specific price. That location was going to be closed so they sent me to a different location that wouldn't honor price. After many phone calls and much yelling now I have to wait for a refund of the money I was over charged. A nightmare10.0 Wonderful

Our minivan was given away, they gave us an suv that was too small for my family, it had no gas, was not cleaned and smelled like smoke. Front desk was no help.4.4 Mediocre

The signs for rental car return locations at the STL airport are contradictory and inaccurate. It took me 30+ minutes to find the Avis lot. Also, the company charged me for gasoline despite the fact that the car's tank was full at the time I brought it back.2.0 Poor

Could have been better by actually having a car for me. Avis ran me around saying I didn’t pass a soft credit check. I got my bank on the phone because there is no way I wouldn’t pass. Avis could not tell me why or what they were checking for. I tried to rebook-they had NO CARS IN THE AREA2.0 Poor

There was no attendant for 25 minutes at this location. They also denied renting a vehicle to me after I had called to make sure they accept a debit card. Worse experience. Ended up having to take a flight. I will never rent or recommend Avis -particularly this location 2925 Olive street, saint Louis MO.7.6 Good
