We had a reservation for a car. When we arrived at the pickup counter we were told there were no cars available. Even though we had a reservation, it didn't matter, they didn't have a car for us. We ended up spening the next several hours trying to find a car from another agency. I will never rent from Alamo/Enterprise in Girona again.

The price was excellent, and I received a free upgrade to a Jeep Compass. I was able to pick up at one airport, and drop off another. Best rental car experience I've had- I wish they were all like this!

If the rental booking could automatically, and CLEARLY notify customers that they absolutely have to use a credit card for their booking, it would save alot of headaches for customers and your alls reps. When I booked mine with a debit card, the confirmation made it seem like everything was fine, and even said to bring the credit/debit card I booked with. It knows I'm doing a way trip. So in this day and age, an automatic warning would be awesome, instead of being told "its the policy" and I should have read it 3 paragraphs down

Had an amazing experience with Enterprise - Brandon gave me an upgrade as they were a few minutes late picking me up- brand new car. Adam who gave me a lift home was very friendly and just made my experience great with a personal touch. Thank you again , best service ever

Car was not clean. This is a big concern especially during this pandemic. Also I had to wait a long time to pick up the vehicle. I should have just rented from the airport. The South Calgary trail location in Edmonton is not a good location to rent

The staff were efficient and had my rental ready for me. However, at both check-in and drop-off, they were not friendly and there were no smiles or warmth from them. I would not pick this location again.

Drop off was awful! No signs where to take car. Finally found a tiny sign to drive to the 7th fl of garage. No attendant around. Spent 20 minutes walking around offices to find someone.

I was surprised that my rental car did not have a block heater, given how cold temperatures can get in winter in Edmonton.

Downtown drop off location was impossible due to lack of deatails, signage, traffic no where to stop. Deatailed directions for complicated drop off downtown should be provided. Alternative location should be provided with directions

Cons:

Booked a Tahoe online and when we went to pick up the car and was signing all the documents, noticed the price was more than 4 times the price. I showed them my confirmation but the time my just told me there must have been an issue with the booking site. There was no mention of this before I was about to sign and they would not honor the confirmed price I had so I left and went to Alamo who gave me a great deal. Thank you Alamo. Last time booking Avis

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
