Nice car but web site less than clear on insurance costPros:Clear information on true cost to rent including unsuranceCons:Clear informationReviewed 15 Jul. 2017

Cons:Beware booking through kayak. The car rentalI booked did not have the mandatory minimum insurance requirements for car rental in Ireland and as result I had to paid double what was originally quoted.Reviewed 19 Apr. 2017

Pros:The carCons:They did not have the car size for the amount we reserved. So we were up Sold to a $600 car. Also kayak advertised the car we reserved as $100’dollars for the week and that was not what we were told at time of arrival they said it was $400 and we had to ultimately pay $600 up front. This is the last time I will book a car thru kayak.Reviewed 3 Nov. 2017

Costly car rental for what you got!Pros:The car was nice and met our needs for the week our so we had it. But it would have been better if when rented the Eurocar attendant had explained the car operations features.Cons:The hustle I got to take an upgraded car compared to what I originally booked. The fact there was nobody available to explain the car operating chaicteristic for basic things like how to adjust miors, cruise controles, syncing your phone to to the car, where the fuel fill lid button was located, seat adjustments,, the dashboard characteristics and other features I had to figure out on my own. It would have been a much better experience if the rental car agent or representative had been willing to explain the car features before I departed with the car.Reviewed 2 Oct. 2016

Insurance madnessCons:My credit card covered rental insurance fully and Europcar asked for an email from my bank/credit card company before giving me the car. I had to call my credit card provider and have them send an email to Europcar. Pretty damn ridiculous. All told, I wasted three hours getting all this sorted, and even after I finally got them what they needed, they put a EURO 5,000 authorization charge on my account, an obscene amount for a one-week rental. Also: There's a 25 EURO airport surcharge that I was never made aware of, and a 35 EURO charge to travel into Northern Ireland, which I also wasn't made aware of until the time of payment. I recommend you book elsewhere, because a Google search tells me that not all car rental companies charge for traveling into Northern Ireland.Reviewed 6 Sep. 2018

Cons:Unhappy with the insurance costs. Dropoff too long at Dublin airportReviewed 19 May 2017

Pros:Nice car with free sat Mac (Renault Clio)Cons:Taxes, insurance and airport fee meant a 50eur rental turned into a 250eur rental.Reviewed 30 Sep. 2016

Insurance was priceyPros:Agent at airport was very helpful.Cons:Insurance charges should be stated more clearly when booking. Insurance was nearly three times the price of the car. Car smelled like someone had been smoking in it.Reviewed 6 Jun. 2018

Rip off alertCons:This company is an insurance ripoff. Insisted on full coverage, left me and my family in a lurch as we were stuck at a remote location offsite from the airport. Would not accept my credit card insurance policies, I had 3 different cards, all with renters coverage. Tried to use my personal renter policy which covers rentals in Ireland and they refused. Hard sell on everything. Instead of the $80 for the week, ended up having to dish out $540. Avoid at all costs. Don't fall for their bait and switch. Kayak should be ashamed of doing business with this company.Reviewed 29 Sep. 2016
