Pick up was fine. The car was clean ish but smelled kind of like urine. Drop off was not good. Workers standing around but noone came to accept the drop off. We went inside to drop off the keys and made note of the mileage, gas and time of drop off as per the instructions. The employee said that the information was already logged as the system is electronic. He also told me that I had to pay for a fuel surcharge because the gas tank wasn't completely full. I actually returned the car with more gas than when I picked it up and they still charged me! I filled up 8 miles from the drop off location and explained this to him. He was nice and seemed to empathize but said there was nothing he could do. Beware and go somewhere else!!!Reviewed 14 Aug. 2022

Donna at the Hertz desk (Buffalo-Niagara airport) was AMAZING and very helpful. Unfortunately there seems to be an issue with their vehicle turnover/cleaning/prep workflow as several guests had to wait 45+ minutes for their vehicle.Reviewed 28 Jun. 2022

I appreciated the ability to get a slightly better vehicle for the money using the “manager special” option, but I’m also aware that’s a crapshoot and dependent upon what they have available at any time. Although I got an upgrade, it was a smoked-in vehicle, and rags from the cleaning crew were left in the vehicle.Reviewed 14 Jun. 2022

Counter assoicate was not wearing a mask when we walked up either time. He did put it on when talking to us. He was very rude to my wife and I. Also when booking you need to tell people that there be a hold of at least 200 on your card and it can't be split between 2 cards. The car was great, but we had to wait in line an hour and 15 mins after the pick up time to get it. Completely under staffed, just one attendant at the counter for Hertz and one for Dollar rent a car. We felt sorry for the 2 employees at the counter.Reviewed 18 Oct. 2021
