I needed to change my reservation to a different day, but when I called the Hertz reservation desk at Sanford, she told me that I needed to call the 3rd party who I booked it with, which was Kayak, but your website says I need to make any changes with the car rental company. I would of been willing to pay extra money to make the change! But, instead I had to eat the $160 I paid you and book another car with a different rental company. The drop off agent tried to charge me $84 extra on a prepaid reservation. I said that’s not possible. We went inside, and he again gave me a receipt showing the extra charge. I reviewed it, and found he had charged me a gas fee even though the car was returned full. He removed the fee when I showed him his error. Our rental car had a bad battery. The car wouldn’t start a couple times and roadside assistance while lovely to speak to, wanted us to take the car to the shop, pay to have a battery put in and hope for a reimbursement. What should have happened is someone should have drove to us, in another car and they take the one we had. I feel that was terrible customer service. It took us 2 hours to start the thing and drive to auto zone, have it tested… that’s 2 hours lost on our vacation.Reviewed 12 Nov. 2021
