I wound up canceling my entire rental with Hertz due to very poor customer service. I made my original rental reservation more than seven months in advance. One month afterwards, I called to request a larger vehicle since I would need more room than I originally thought. I knew going into this that I would need to pay more to upgrade. The customer service representative was not polite at all and also told me I could not modify my reservation. After trying to explain and getting nowhere, I canceled and went with National. They advertised that their cars were clean but upon picking up the seat there were two dirty masks, one of which had a lipstick stain on it, an orange and popcorn on the seat. This is Hertz' idea of clean? It's an embarrassment. I have a picture to prove it if interested or if they want to improve on their idea of cleanliness. It's hard to believe Hertz actually had a sticker on the car trumpeting how proud they are with their cleanliness.Reviewed 9 Jan. 2022
