I had a terrible experience renting from Hertz at Orlando airport. The staff misled me about insurance coverage, claiming I had collision coverage when I didn’t. The car was in poor condition—damaged, with malfunctioning electronics and low tire pressure. After being rear-ended, Hertz provided no assistance, forcing me to waste a full vacation day resolving the issue. Employees were unhelpful and dismissive, showing no empathy or effort to resolve their mistakes. I ended up switching to National for the remainder of my trip. This was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had, and I won’t be using Hertz again.Reviewed 27 Nov 2024

Hidden costs that should have been shared upon booking. In my had 2 people at the check in desk when we arrived I waited in line for an hour to get helped by a staff member. Not good. Car was in need of maintenance. No windshield washer fluid, tires were out of balance and so car/steering wheel vibrated the whole time, tires were over inflated. Also, upon check in, Hertz rep at MCO wanted to charge us an additional rate for my spouse to also drive when I am a Gold member.Reviewed 4 Sep 2024

Hertz gave us the wrong car and insisted that this is the car we booked. We booked a car with two full suitcases and 7 passengers. They gave us a gmc acadia which did not fit 7 with 2 suitcases. Kayak showed us prices with tax included but hertz said the price did not include tax and they charged us tax on top.Reviewed 7 Aug 2024
