Friendly staff couldn't make up for extra costs added to overall billPros:Prepaying for gas.Cons:Cost for what was received. The peace of mind insurance charged is too much for one day use ($33.00)! No GPS in unit, had to pay an additional $6.99 per day. Extra cost for winter tires (you would expect that they would put these tires onto their vehicles as a rule in Canada to save their customers from being in accidents). I arrived in Saskatoon during a snowstorm freezing rain in February, what choice did I have! Overall the bill was more than expected. Read fine print before renting or better yet call to get specifics as you don't need to be surprised at pick up counter when charges are explained.Reviewed 16 Feb. 2018

Customer service was terriblePros:Car was alright but not even close to the type described which was a Toyota or Volkswagen, ended up being a NissanCons:Customer service was terrible! I had booked the car for pick up at 5pm, ended up looking the address up online to see that they are closed at 5pm, so unclear why it even let me book the pick up for that time. Called theee time and left messages in the morning and nobody got back to me until mid afternoon when I needed to pick it up (I had arranged a ride to come there). People working there didn't seem engaged in conversation, did not explain anything to me- like why they tried to sell me a gas card, or where to drop the keys off after hours. I use enterprise often and they are fantastic about the paperwork and everything. When I looked over the car to inspect it prior to getting it I said I had found a scratch and I told the representative and he blew it off like it was nothing and did not mark it on the sheet so I had to take pictures with my phone to time stamp any previous damage as the employee was not taking my concerns seriously. These were just a few of the issue I had in terms of customer service. I can say when I called the airport location to answer some of my questions they were quite helpful, as well as apologized for the lack of service at the other location, which was great. Overall, stick with enterprise.Reviewed 26 Aug. 2017

Unprofessional staffPros:The car itself was clean and the price is reasonable. Insurance of $33 per day is a bit high though.Cons:The girl who assisted me during the pick up of the vehicle insured me that $200 authorization on my credit card (security deposit) will be released on the day of drop off. I was surprised because I know that usually it takes 3-5 business days that's why I specifically reasked her, however, she repeated the same thing. It's been 2 days now and nothing is back. I've called the central credit card authorization department of Hertz where they were not able to help, saying that I need to wait for up to a week, when my bank said that Hertz can contact them on my behalf to release the hold. After all, I've called the office itself in Saskatoon Airport and left a voice mail for the manager on duty asking to call me back, guess what? I didn't hear back. Very poor service overall, my first and last time using Hertz. I also work at customer service industry where people often ask me for recommendations about which rental place to go with, so now I know which one not to use for sure.Reviewed 8 Aug. 2017
