Staff was very helpful in getting us a car after we made the mistake of arriving at the wrong location. Then when the car they gave us was a smoker, they immediately gave us an exchange. Way different/better than hertz/dollar who didn't have our car at all two reservations in a row!

More car options. The airport location was sold out due to spring break, so we had to Uber 30min away to rent a car.Needed a Standard SUV to pack up my stuff to move 12 hours away. I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance, and I get a call 2 hours before my pickup time saying that they didn't have the vehicle I reserved. They then directed me to another pickup location and changed my reservation without my permission and doubled my daily rental rate. They didn't answer my phone calls, which directed me to the main office in Dallas, and their response was "Sorry sir, we can't change your reservation back". I showed up to the new location and got stuck with a smaller vehicle that didn't have enough room for my belongings. The whole thing has been absolute nonsense. If you don't have the vehicle I reserved, don't have it as an option for me to set up a reservation under.
Grace at Memphis pick up gives best service ever!!! Could’ve explained that I owed more at drop off in Decatur

I have been trying to rent a car with Avis for over a month. They wait until I get a ride two hours away and then call me at the last minute, or not at all, and tell me that they do not have any available cars. This has happened to me 11 times now. Due to this, I received a coupon from Customer Service for 4 Days Free Rental and the Store Manager at the Collierville location lied to me about having cars, and the total that she was running my card for. Then told me she could not rent to me because my credit card declined, even though I called my Credit Card company and cleared up the issue. She said that it was company policy that they were not allowed to run a card twice; which is a lie. They ran another customer's card 5 times while I was standing there. She also called another location, trying to pass me off to them, and told the manager there that she could not run my card again because it would mess up my coupon, not because it was company policy that they could not run the card twice. She knew this was a lie. All of this was heard by my credit card company on a recorded line.
