Pros:The rental was cheapCons:Poor customer service. They only had two attendants and one of them was on the phone and going to the back instead of helping customers. The line grew to about 15 people and he came out and asked everyone to stand on the dots on the floor for social distancing and for people to get out of the line if they didn’t have a mask. While I understand the mask mandate it was quite rude for him to wait 20 minutes to address the people in line without a mask. There were a lot of people who were renting a car who did not just get off a plane so it was a common mistake to forget a mask. He should’ve told them immediately to get a mask or offered them a mask. When the attendant told individuals to do this it caused an uproar between the attendant and customers and a screaming match occurred. Instead of stopping the screaming match the attendant continued to pursue an argument with customers instead of assisting the extremely long line of customers. Even when I got to the counter the attendant was on the phone talking to other people instead of helping me. I spent much longer at the desk trying to get my car because he was busy doing other things. When I finally got to pick up my car there were only two cars left to pick and one of them reeked of cigarettes. Needless to say I picked the other one and the car simply had a regular key because the remote was broken so I had to manually lock all doors all weekend on the car since the key was clearly a spare key. Overall I get employees are probably being over worked and I know that we are in a rental car shortage but this was an unsatisfactory experience.Reviewed 6 Jul. 2021

Pros:Drop off was easy, but pick up was very disorganized.Cons:When you reserve a car for a certain price months in advance you expect to have that contract met. We had to wait at least 45 minutes at the counter just to talk to the agent because there was only one agent for a long line of customers. Once at the counter, we were told that we would have to wait an hour for the car we were renting; this would have made us late for a very important meeting. When I inquired about any vehicles I could get immediately, I was told there was one, but of course I would have to pay the extra charge for the more expensive car. My worst car rental experience ever, and this quality of care was evidently shared between Thrifty, Dollar, and Hertz. Last time with this company!Reviewed 28 Jun. 2021

Pros:The drop off worked well.Cons:Terrible pick up at national airport. Waited in line for 4 hours. So, Thrifty rented out way too many cars with far too few staff. There were only 2 persons at the counter and frequently one would leave - reasons unknown. Then AFTER finally getting to the counter, we had to wait ANOTHER 45 MINUTES for our vehicle to be ready. THEN, while driving on our leg from Washington to Nashville (1st day of trip to Dallas), we got a low tire pressure warning. Stopped immediately, called Thrifty, waiting on and off hold for almost 2 hours - only to be hung up on in the end. Had to fend for ourselves and by the grace of god only, reached our destination. Pros:I did not like this experience at all. I went on April 30, 2021 for a 4 pm pickup. They had one person at the counter running thrifty, dollar and even hertz customers at one point. A long line was already formed by the time I arrived to pick up a van I "reserved". I ended up waiting for about 50 mins and in that time an even longer line formed down toward the stairwell. While waiting in line the lady announced that there would be a 45 min delay in getting a vehicle. I was hoping that only applied to people who did not have "reservations", although I do not wish that delay on anyone. When it was my turn I was prepared for the worse and was told that reservations do not matter because they do not have any vehicles available. Then she blamed customers for not returning them and for returning them dirty. If that was the case then do not allow people to reserve vehicles that are not available. I left without the vehicle I reserved in advance. Waste of time.Cons:Have more people working at the counter. Do not allow for reservations unless the vehicle is actually available. It makes no sense to assume that customers will return a vehicle on the day and time they are suppose to and overlap reservations by letting people reserve that same vehicle for that time. It leaves no room for error, which seems to have happened to everyone that waited in that line for close to an hour.Reviewed 2 May 2021

Pros:There was a manager named Dwight, that was juggling about ten tasks at once ... no cars, no clerks, etc.... but he was still courteous and as competent as could be considering the chaos around him.Cons:Have the desk staffed... have the car reserved available.... have a contact person at pick-up or drop off that can at least direct people and keep the process organized.Reviewed 5 Apr. 2021

Pros:After waiting 2 hours for a car at Thrifty (with a confirmed reservation), they were unable to find a car for me to rent. I understand that this is not the employees' fault, but their inability to show any problem-solving skills or to find reasonable solutions to the problem was extremely frustrating. There was zero hustle, zero indication they were trying to find a workaround, zero signs of remorse that they were unable to fulfill my reservation that I had paid for.
