Cons: "I was asked to check my carry-on. I have used this carry-on more than 50x without an issue. I have even put it in the smaller compartments on smaller Bombardier jets. I don't have an issue with being asked to check luggage, but I resent being asked when others are allowed to take their carry-on onto to the plane without issue. Right in front of me while I was waiting for a baggage tag, others were being checked in with carry-on equal to mine and allowed to take it onto the plane. I can only surmise that my ticket limited me to one bag onto the plane, although they would not tell me this. This was not clear when I booked the ticket nor when I checked in on-line. I had a 40 minute connection in Zurich so was very concerned that my luggage would not make it. Luckily, it did make it to my next stop. Swiss Air seems to have different restrictions than other airlines which I have encountered before. I take ownership that I should be aware of a tickets restrictions but this was a multi-leg trip (5). However, I will tend to avoid Swiss air in the future, to avoid having to research their unique restrictions."

The front desk staff didn’t arrive until closer to 1.5 hours before check in so nearly theall passengers were in a huge line to get passes and check bags."

However, this leg of the trip was so late that I barely made it to third leg of the trip. A huge problem is that each of these international airports require that you go through the security check again. For that reason, connecting legs of trips through these airports should not be scheduled so close together. Heathrow is the worst, with security staff that, at best, don’t care that you have a close connection to make and just ignore your pleas to speed up the process, and at worst, are just plain rude."

Cons: "Getting to LHR early for. 6:30 am flight was no use since they don't have any departing flights between 11pm and 6 am. So we were stuck in the lobby for hours until ticket agents arrived at 4 am. There was one open coffee shop however. Then we waited for security to arrive at about 4:30 am to get through and it was quite a slow shake down. One through there were no restaurants open until 5-5:30 am. The flight itself was fine. Facilities at Frankfurt were minimal with toilets offering only one stall each. While standing in the long queue a lady and her young daughter were rudely ushered out by the male custodian for cleaning, and then it could not be used for another 10-15 minutes."

Cheaptickets simply told me that I can't get any money back, and was extremely arrogant and impatient. Later (for a week I was trying to save this ticket by talking to the British Embassy to see if I can get the visa done and they are just "we can't help you") they told me that I can get a refund of like 30 SGD and they promised to send me an e-mail about it. They never ever did. I also tried to change the dates and the handling fee + fair difference was like 1200 SGD (are you joking?) they simply told me, prices fluctuate... Finally I went to the check in counter desperate. The staff even refused to talk to me about my situation because simply, "there is no BA ticket office in Singapore" and told me to call them. I said the office is closed, but they are like, yeah just call them. They swept me off like a moron. Extremely arrogant, impatient, insensitive. I paid 900 SGD for nothing and a whole week of anxiety and regret. I will never take this and I will never use Cheaptickets or Kayak"

We were without any personal items or medications for SIX DAYS of a cycling holiday, because Iberia failed to answer the phone or deliver the baggage. We were obliged to take a 6.5 hour journey from where we were on day 6 (rural Cuba) to personally collect the baggage from Havana airport ourselves. NOT okay, Iberia/BA. Never again."

Flight was canceled and nobody notified us (business class) until we arrived at the airport. Tap tried to rebook us into economy for next flight but we would have missed out connection anyway. Had to pitch a fit to be rebooked on a different airline in business. Ended up in JFK instead of Newark but at least got home.

Check in was a disaster. The testing rules are ridiculous. They made me wait so long to tell me to get another test that I missed the flight, then they charged me a fee. The staff was rude and uninformed. I will never fly this airline again and will advise others to avoid.

DO NOT FLY WITH THIS AIRLINE! I wish I would have taken the negative reviews I had read to heart before I had to discover it for myself. To start with, we were charged an extra $100 for our carry-on baggage apparently being overweight. This was not something we were told about prior to flying or we would have packed differently. During our layover in Portugal, we were delayed. Once they started to board, we got on the bus and drove out to the plane. Upon arriving at the plane, there were already two other busses there that had not even offloaded yet since they were apparently still servicing the plane. We had to stand in a crowded bus for about 45 minutes packed in like sardines. So much for social distancing and covid concerns! The plane itself was uncomfortable and the service terrible. I have flown across the Atlantic many many times on other airlines and have always received amazing service. This was not the case with TAP. Other than a small glass of water, we were only served drinks one time. There were no refills or additional service, which for a 9-hour flight is unheard of. I hated every minute of my time with TAP and will never fly with them again even if someone offered me a free ticket.
