Cons: "The crew at check-in & at boarding checked me in to fly to Tel-Aviv (transiting at Istanbul) without any comment on visa or passport at Washington D.C. In Istanbul, I was not allowed to board on the flight to Tel-Aviv. I was not allowed to stay in Istanbul. Crew (Erin Uler) who stopped me from boarding the flight said he would help, but disappeared. Othes kept sending me back and forth between transfer desk and sales desk with inconsistent advice every time. I had no way out, so decided I will fly to the closest European country. This was after I had been back and forth for 7 hours. I had to pay full for flight to Greece. I asked to be sent back to D.C. they could not even work that out. I have a return ticket to fly back to Washington D.C. with Turkish Airline on 1 Jan and they said they will need to re-ticket my paid return flight as well. Turkish airline crew did not would not help me fix my return flight back to D.C. They have asked me to contact the agent ( Kayak). Now I am stuck in Athens, a country I have never visited nor planned to. My tours & accommodation, all paid for in Israel, I have lost. I had a tour fully paid in Israel. I have no ticket to return back to D.C. even though I paid for ticket with cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. The advice between Turkish crew who checked my passport (official) while I was flying out of D.C. vs the Turkish crew who stopped me from boarding was inconsistent. If I had been stopped in D.C. I wouldn't have had to face the events that followed. Now I have lost my tours, hotel in Israel. I had to pay extra for flight to Athens and I am paying for hotel and sundry in Athens while waiting for flight out. Turkish crew at Istanbul were not only unhelpful but rude and inconsistent. While I was waiting for 8 hours for a firm information, shouting matches between Turkish crew and customers went on at least a dozen times. Inconsistent information from Turkish staff has led me to be currently stuck in Athens. I am waiting for a way back to D.C. There should be a rule that fines an airline if they board people without accurate visa papers and they fail to check it. There should also be a fine to the airline if they stop people from boarding at a transit airport leaving passanger stranded with nowhere to go or return."

Cons: "Check in team at airport very tuff and I have 9 kg only they let me pay full SR 450 which too high and generally all airlines they don’t ask u to pay like such weight as business class passenger. Quality of food, aircraft very old and seats not comfortable"

Boarding was through buses which was inefficient and messy. My trip was 11 hours of flying time. Economy seating is super tight and legroom awful. For long haul flights they must be more generous in terms of seat size and legroom."

BUT ANYWAY: THE AIRLINES ARE WORKING HARD TO OVERCOME ALL OBSTACLES AND PRICES ARE GREAT."

Cons: "seat comfort is a real problem in this configuration of the 777-300er. all the more frustrating over a 13 hour flight. foot rest either hampers foot room under seat (when down) or digs into shins (when up.) There is NO comfortable seat position with that footrest. Every Economy passenger would be much better served if the footrests were completely removed."

Cons: "Beware, when you booo through kayak apparently you can't choose your seat so you get all middle seats...regardless of the fact that your preference is set to aisle or window and those seats are available. Food was prettt bad and it's also an hour plus to even get a drink of water. I was constantly dehydrated and thirsty."

Cons: "On line check-in system does not remember frequent flier info. Passport check at gate was poorly managed. Everyone was in waiting area then told to get out and stand in line for passport check. It happened each time so this seems to be their normal process. On flight back they bused us to the airplane and waited for all three buses to arrive at the airplane before allowing anyone to board. Flight attendants helped with moving carry on bags in bins but with little consideration to the items. Completely unorganized boarding process to the point it is worth paying a little more to fly a different airline."

Pros: "The services on the plane were fantastic. We were offered drinks right after take-off and entertainment was available immediately upon boarding. The food was delicious and plentiful. Drinks were offered several times throughout the flight which was not my experience with a different airline for my return flight. The choices of entertainment were current and of a good variety. Great flying experience."
