Cons: "The overall travel plan as developed for the TAP flight from Boston to Lisbon with a commuter flight change over in Lisbon to Valencia does not leave ample time to go through customs in Lisbon and allow for commuter boarding at the lower level gates as well. The time allocated was 1 hour and 15 minutes. The scenario played out az follows: TAP left Boston 30 minutes later than scheduled. This delay made it impossible to get through customs and be on board the commuter flight 15 minutes before departure. Bear in mind, on the commuter flights your also lose time by having to be bussed out to the aircraft. We and several others missed our flight to Valencia. TAP placed us on a flight to Bilbao that was scheduled to leave approximately 6 hours later. We then were placed on an Iberia flight from Bilbao to Valencia. Only 1 piece of luggage made it to Valencia. The other 2 pieces of luggage were left behind in Lisbon. It was apparent that even all of the luggage failed to be loaded on the TAP commuter flight for Valencia. We arrived in Valencia approximately 12 hours later than scheduled with only one piece of luggage. We returned to the airport the following afternoon given that our remaining two bags were to arrive after 3:30 PM. The real disappointment here is on our return flight from Valencia to Lisbon, they have cut down the transfer time down from 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 5 minutes!! What are they thinking?? If we do not connect in time i.e., our flight leaves late from Valencia, we will obviously arrive late in Lisbon and miss our connection to Boston. Thereafter we will miss our scheduled transport ride back home to Rhode Island. I very much doubt that I will use TAP ever again as a carrier to Europe."

Cons: "When we got to Madridthings went a little wrong. We were at the Lisbon air port over 2 hours before our flight. The flight was a little under an hour to Madrid. We were in row 18 seats D and E. We walked to Baggage claim and waited with lots of other people on the flight for our bags. I am not sure if the crew was short handed that day. We waited at baggage claim for over an hour for our bags. It appeared to me, I will admit, I could not see, that there was one handler for the bags. He would take and put bags on the belt and then shut it down and move bags on the cart so he could toss um on the belt. It is the longest that I have ever waited for my bags. I think you can see I wasn't all that pleased"

Also I was charged €40 to check my bag in as I thought I already checked it in online, before I came over here. It's a sad way to end this trip, as its a beautiful island."

Yes they are just still kids, but from the very start of them boarding, thats when everything just went downhill. The kids was just screaming, shouting, and sprinting into there sits. Even after being told to quite and calm down, all them were still screaming and shouting at the top of there vioces throughtout and non-stop for the whole flight (even after landing and getting into the bus). The worst fact of all is that, there was just far too many of them for everyone to handle (by the flight crew, and the trachers). It was also the first thing in the morning so it’s not like everyone would most likely be well rested already."

Cons: "1156.64 When we arrived at the airport the clerk at the desk would not look up from her computer to help us, we went to the window and she continued to refuse to check us in. When we handed her our passports she bluntly stated that it was too late to check in because it was 10:00 and the cutoff was 9:55. We asked if she could make an exception due to our issues with transportation or if she was able to help us rebook a flight and she said no. We had already paid for this flight and had checked in baggage and paid separately for the two bags and she told us there were no Ryan air flights for our destination. We promptly rebooked with another airline at a separate airport and consequently had to pay for another form of transportation to the airport as well as a new flight and another two checked pieces of baggage. I have traveled all over Europe, the US, Canada, Central America etc. and never in my years of travel have I felt so belittled and disrespected especially considering I was a paying, respectful and loyal customer. It goes without saying I will never use this airline again and will be strongly recommending other airlines to friends and family."

The seats cannot be reclined. It is not inexpensive, as they will make you believe, a charge of 40 euros per checked baggage.... you are better off taking a regular airline, sometimes."

They even sell scratch tickets to passengers on the plane, how cheap and sleezy can an airline get??"

She was extremely rude to everyone and even berated several passengers, including those who didn't speak English. Multiple passengers who witnessed this asked for her name so that they could report her to the airline... she refused to give it. Such conduct should not be tolerated by any company, but is especially poor form for one like an airline in the customer service business. I'll make every effort to avoid Ryanair in the future just because of her."

After having a very rude interaction with two different people. One even said "don't tell me how to do my job." Then when I got on the plane there was plenty of room for my backpack. The floor was incredibly dirty with chips on all over the ground. We then sat on the tarmac for half an hour. I could not believe how rude the check in crew was, they would not even listen to me explain that I had put the exact same backpack under my seat two days ago. Completely absurd."

Cons: "I've had three flights with Ryan Air this week and every one has been so unorganized and stressful. The boarding process is slow, and a lot of getting in line and standing for long periods of time. Even with open seats they don't boom groups together (when they book at same time). I assume to get more money to switch but this just leads to masses of people trying to swap seatings during boarding. The landings on all three were rough, I fly a lot and have never had an issue and these landings were concerning. One they came into fast and had to pull up quickly to avoid landing."

Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary."

SATA/Air Azores has a monopoly on the flights in and out of the Azores to the USA and no other airlines are allowed to flight that route. They should be ashamed of themselves by the way they run this airline and treat the passengers."

Cons: "- The one hour delay from Boston to Delgada one week earlier - The FOUR hour delay from Delgada on 6/21/17 - The personnel at the airport were not very helpful in communicating why the flight was late, nor what the accurate time for the next flight would occur - The fact that NO ONE apologized for this tremendous inconvenience until we landed in Boston and ONE flight attendant said "sorry for the delay"...... - The fact that there was NO attempt to make this delay right...... - Unfortunately, your online presence is horrible and will get worse because of this. Eight hours of actual round-trip flight time should not have to come with 5 hours of delays! Especially since it was perfect weather throughout! Very very disappointed in the entire trip."

Cons: "Flight delayed and we got no information about why. Few updates and bad communication in general. Faced same problems on way to Sao Miguel - only that trio was delayed almost 20 hours. Will avoid that airline in the future if possible."

Cons: "No entertainment at all. The seats could have more recline as it was an overnight flight and nearly impossible to sleep. The trays for business class are so close that it is awkward and uncomfortable to use."

Cons: "They crammed way too many seats into the planes; it's really awful if it's a full flight, and if you're claustrophobic or prefer space around you, forget it! When the guy in front of me reclined his seat, his head was practically in my lap. Some tray tables were broken. The planes seem old. But it's the only airline that flies to the Azores from the U.S., I believe, so this is the only option. They also very slow, and we left late to and from the Azores."

Cons: "Was too tired and worn out to really care after the long delay. Won't fly this airline again."

Cons: "The delay of over 12 hours was terrible. I'm sure most people will complain as everyone was furious. The staff didn't provide any guidance towards what the problem was or how long we could be waiting. Their communications were guesses at best."

Cons: "We were majorly inconvenienced when finding out our flight was delayed, then cancelled completely, the. It happened again the next day. Lost 2 days of our trip whih were supposed to be in Lisbon. We found a Ryanair flight to Porto just to get to the mainland. What a nightmare. Never flying with Azores/SATA again!!"

Pros: "Happy for the incoming Barcelona passengers to make this flight. Ticket agent told us how to snag a couple of free seats, once everyone on board, so we could stretch out for 5 hr. flight. They serve brewed tea!"
Cons: "One hour late departing made for an extra long day of traveling. Be prepared for boarding a bus at gate to get to plane."

Cons: "No entertainment, some crew members wee rude and messy (spilling food/drink and unapologetic) where others were exceptional. Limited places to sit in between flights at gate (had to depart plane and reload even though we had same exact plane/seats)"

Pros: "Our flight left on time and arrived 45 minutes early. The crew was good and the meal served was okay. I think BOS (and Providence in the summer) are the only non-stop flights to the Azores, so that is convenience. Flight cost was fine."
Cons: "Seats are crammed in to the max. Fine if you have extraordinarily short legs. No entertainment. Main cabin screen was off the entire flight."

Cons: "We had changes to pretty much every leg of our flights. One was delayed by 2.5 hours. I understand that flights get delayed but they hardly gave us any information as to what was going on. The flight was pretty smooth but the flight attendants didn't seem interested in our comfort. They weren't rude but they weren't pleasant either. I guess I'm used to a different style of service that I did not receive on Azores."

Cons: "Seats literally had duct tape on them. Food was atrocious. They only entertainment was the old two prone headphones and 8 looping crackly audio stations. On a calm day landing in in boston we set down one side of the rear landing gear, then the other, and squiggled down the runway. As the pilot didn't touch down early enough on the runway he had to really jam on the brakes. It was greeted with a round of applause because landing alive with azores air seems to be worthy of applause by the regulars... Least legroom of any airline. Bathroom was disgusting after 2 hr. Toilet paper was seemingly wadded up and stuck back into the dispenser. Nobody ever got new paper. Ran out of paper towels as well..."

Cons: "Among the drawbacks, long immigration lines in LIS, despite the opportunity to go thru immigration in the Azores - lost opportunity for the airline to market its efficiency and convenience."

Pros: "The food was good. I enjoyed the flight. Though I've felt that I received less than I usually do from international flights but maybe just because this was shorter. No extra bull you don't need like an over night bag (that I've been given on other airlines for over night flights) but if you're expecting it, it may be a bit of a let down. My flight was just under 6 hours so maybe it's too short for that. They served a meal and a half. A full dinner, dessert and appetizer with wine. A muffin with coffee for breakfast. The dinner was surprisingly great. I actually really loved it. The muffin was just a plain blueberry muffin purchased from the store. Just a quick half meal before leaving."
Cons: "Well I had planned to go take a course in Porto which was the whole reason I bought this flight. I missed everything i came here for because of it. They reimbursed people and put people up in hotels, but not me. My trip was ruined essentially due to the cancellation of my first flight but the flight itself, when it did go, was good."

I had a flight in the morning and I was left without a new pair of clothes to change in. This has been the absolute worse! I've asked them to ship my luggage and expedite it and, ofcourse, they have some excuse. Doesn't help that they can't even tell me WHERE my luggage is at"
