Cons: "Wish they offered a vegetarian meal, however the food was great and I still was satisfied with the parts I could eat."
Pros: "From start to finish, we were amazed by the customer service of Japan Airlines. Altogether we we had a 14-hour day or so of flying with two small children and it could have easily been a 20-hour-or-more day of flying had Japan Airlines not been so great at what they do. We can't say enough about how amazed and blessed we were by their customer service."
Cons: "Having to pay for wifi and not having access to power outlets. Everything else was amazing and honestly these minor things were very forgivable given the great entertainment choices that came along with the plan ride and and the amazing customer service."
Pros: "JAL has customer service that no other airline comes close to."
Cons: "Nothing, JAL is perfect. I mean it"
Pros: "The seats were very comfortable, the staff were friendly"
Cons: "we requested for halal food when we booked the flight, but they brought us the normal food which we couldn't eat"
Pros: "Free WiFi in flight!"
Cons: "In my email confirmation says Business class tickets but the boarding cards were "J" class which was not Business or economy so we had to fight to get in the lounge. They apologizedon't many times but no compensation, seats were first row but not first class, business, economy, or premium economy. They said it's called "J" class! You still get 3 pcs of luggage and pay business class price! Never JAL again domestic, maybe international or Never ever!"
Pros: "Food was pretty good."
Cons: "There were so many people who walk around an aisle but the flight attendant didn't control them. They kept pushing my seat and hit. I was so uncomfortable."
Pros: "Staffs areattentive"
Cons: "Chair space so limited"
Pros: "The flight staff was excellent on my flight back to JFK. They were very attentive and kept a smile. There was never a time where I felt uncomfortable. There was open seating on the flight and the staff allowed passengers to relocate for increased comfort. It was a nice flight."
Cons: "The food on my flight was just ok. Going out to Japan the food was pretty good and I really enjoyed it. I was a little disappointed on the way back."

Cons: "None"
Pros: "Great flight attendants"
Cons: "Japanese food not great"
Pros: "Best prices for quality service. If the prices for JAL are within $30, I will always select JAL."
Pros: "the AA flight to japan was the worst flight I've ever been on! tv sreen didn't work, space was tight, food terrible, two sets of headphones bad, I could go on but I don't even want to think about it anymore"
Cons: "getting off"
Pros: "Japan airline and ANA airline are the best quality. Service, foods everything is good wonderful!!"
Pros: "the crew was extraordinarily helpful in getting me through customs with my luggage which i was lead to believe did not need to be looked at in Tokyo because it was checked through to Osaka by finding me taking me back through customs and onto the flight in time for its departure. JAL's crews on both flights and the ground personnel were very courteous and always extremely helpful."
Pros: "Flight was all good, entertainment is great."
Cons: "It took an excessively long time for baggage to come out and the local staff was unapologetic. Well over an hour after going through immigration. The service in Narita was significantly better. I'm American and have come to accept poor service, but I can't understand why passengers must pay for a cart to carry their luggage - especially on international flights, before any opportunity to exchange currency. Surely the airlines have some say in this..."
Pros: "It was my first time flying to Japan from LA and the experience was great. Yeah my flight was delay by 3 hours for reasons out of their control and I missed my connecting flight but they completely made up for it. The food and drinks were really good along with the service. Plus they booked me on another flight along with a hotel for the night. Awesome service and experience, I would travel with them again."
Cons: "I don't have anything to complain about."
Pros: "Attention given to each passenger by flight crew."

Always a great experience with an Asiana flight

No problems upon arriving at Incheon and transferring to Manila. The plane was on time. However you cannot check flight status on the app for updates. Good could have been more palatable. Crew were amazingly.

Pros: "I really liked the food selection they provided in economy. Also enjoyed how they would time dinner and breakfast depending on our location. Left in the afternoon, had dinner while still in the Korean timezone. Snoozed for 7 or so hours and it was time for breakfast when we reached the pacific time zone. I especially enjoyed their in flight exercises before landing, it really felt great to get some proper circulation after sitting for a few hours."
Cons: "While traveling on the long haul flights, I really liked flying on the Airbus; flight from Los Angeles to Seoul was initially on an Airbus, very modern with better screen and power outlets! My flight from Seoul to Los Angeles was on a Boeing which felt a bit older; entertainment screen was smaller and had a strange viewing angle (you have to adjust the tile until you get a clear view). While not really bad, I could've paid more attention to see if they inform which type of planes are being used during booking."
Pros: "Check in was smooth all helpful Cabin crew were efficient cockpit communication good."
Cons: "No alchoholic drinks available with lunch service. Emphasis seemed to be on duty free sales early stages of the flight"
Pros: "The price. Significantly cheaper than our normal ride on EVA through Taipei. Having said that...won't do it again."
Cons: "We travel between the US and Asia a couple of times a year and normally fly on EVA, who has wonderful service and great food. We took Asiana this time because the ticket price was significantly less than EVA. Below are the reasons we won't do it again. 1. The food was awful. My wife had the Asian dishes and I had the Western dishes. Both were well below the quality of food we're used to on EVA. 2. Transit in Seoul. On the way to Bangkok from LA we had 50 minutes to transit Seoul to our next flight. The transit security line was quite long and it was obvious that we, along with a few dozen other passengers, weren't going to be able to make the connection. After much complaining from us and our fellow passengers they ran us through another security line. Rushed to the airplane and made it. On returning to LA from Bangkok it was exactly the opposite. The only option was nearly 8 hours connection in Seoul. But we had plenty of time to negotiate the transit security line. These connect times did not occur because of a last-minute ticket purchase. I purchased these tickets in July for a December/January flight to Bangkok and return. 3. Inflight service was not at the level of EVA. Like any other Asian carrier, the flight attendants were light years ahead of ANY US airline crew, but below the standard of EVA. Waking you up to eat a meal (I typically don't eat dinner at 1AM), etc. I was sleeping with my seat reclined and the flight attendant took it upon herself to upright my seat at meal time and woke me up, presumably so the person in the seat behind me was more comfortable with space to eat their meal, but hey...I purchased the seat to sleep just like the other passenger purchased the seat to eat, so I think I had just as much right to "my space and comfort" as the other passenger did. Just little stuff that doesn't happen on EVA. 4. Inflight entertainment is lacking as compared to EVA. Few movie and TV choices, few game choices. 5. We sat in economy. The seats were not very comfortable. Seems the cushions were thin and it became like sitting on plywood after a while. Legroom on the 747 flight wasn't so great, but there was plenty of legroom on the A380. The A380 seating was still kinda hard, but the legroom sure helped. 6. Boarding process. Poorly organized. Nobody pays a bit of attention to "boarding by row number". Consequently it's a bit of chaos during boarding. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true. For a flight of that length I won't choose to save the $200 or so per ticket and will ride on EVA. We've proven to ourselves that EVA is just pretty hard to beat."
Pros: "The aircraft was newer and more spacious than the long flight from LAX to Incheon."
Pros: "Excellent ethnic Korean food. Attendants were extremely polite and and professional."
Cons: "Mass Boarding procedure was inefficient. Same Airline boarding out of Chicago had groups according to sets of row numbers, and was much more efficient. Should use in all cases."
Cons: "Old plane, extremely limited movie/TV selection, terrible food (even by plane food standards), very curt crew. Boarding was fast, but instructions were unclear."
Pros: "The cew is very friendly but need to improve their English."
Cons: "Entertainment system. Food options. General service offering in business class"
Pros: "Our flight is only Incheon to Narita and later that night our final destination is LAX. I have checked in to Singapore Airlines the day before our flight. While checking in at the Incheon airport, the ground attendant ask me for my final destination. After a few minutes, shw mentioned that our baggage will be picked up at LAX. I was so relieved since this trip was 3 weeks with 3 50lbs luggage and 2 10 lb backpacks. I imagined going to Japanese Immigration again and explaining the reason for the entry. Because of this our layover is seamless. Star Alliance made it so easy for us to take their airlines anytime. Kudos to Star Alliance. Oh, the legroom is roomy for Economy! Nothing can compare with their airbus. I am only 5foot1inch and its like having a lounging chair. My husband whose 5’10” is happy with the space. Thanks for thinking of your passengers!"
Cons: "It is minor thing only. Their headphones does not work. Which is not an issue since I always bring headphones and buds for our long haul flights!"
Pros: "On our flights to Palau and our return flight to Incheon, I had entire rows to myself, which was sweet!! I was able to stretch out a bit and get come good sleep."
Cons: "Airlines have done a disservice to travelers by adding rows and packing passengers in like sardines. Thus making travel an uncomfortable nightmare for economy seats. Take out a few rows and add a premium economy section - that would be awesome! Plus the plane we flew on was old - still had ash trays. The attendants, while courteous were not very friendly and cocktails poured were not very good. And, the charger in my seat did not work - bummer. while I appreciate very much uneventful and safe flights to and from our destination, I will more than likely not fly Asiana again. I don't like giving poor reviews, but you can't know to fix something if you don't know it is broken."
Pros: "Glad to have food and drink on the flight. Airline flight attendants were superb on all 4 Asiana flights from Honolulu, Hawaii to Vietnam via Seoul, Korea that I took. Beautiful as well as super efficient and responsive to all requests. I felt "served" as a customer in the best sense of the word, something I have not felt for a long time on an airplane. Even through the flights were long and very full, the attendants were very professional and this made the flight seem shorter and more enjoyable. The economy seat had more legroom and seat space than most other airlines, which made sleeping/dozing much easier. Pillow and blanket too."
Cons: "Food was so-so, except for the Korean dinner which was very good. I had to ask for a 2nd glass of wine - skimpy portions both times."
Pros: "i love the foods and entertainment"
Cons: "The airlines broke my stroller. Complained to the crew but they pointed us to 4 different directions! Now I have a toddler running around the airport since she is not strapped down to her stroller, heavy carry on sand a broken stroller to carry around incheon airport trying to look for their office that nodoby knows where it’s located at!!!! When we finally found the office, their answer was to contact Chicago crew when we get back! No solution for us for the mean time! I’ll be on vacation for a month! Now I guess I have to pay for a new one out of my pocket for their mistake!"
Cons: "Entertainment headphones did not have good sound quality; there was no option for English captions for most of the movies."
Pros: "Some crew members were very kind and helpful."
Cons: "This airline puts priority on Korean speaking men non Korean women with a helpless child. First of all, my child was too large for the bassinet so I held him the entire time. Fine, I get it's for safety. But to make matters worse, my child had a fever and cried out of discomfort for the first 3 hours of a 10 hour flight. A male passenger complained and instead of defending a mother and a helpless sick child, the flight crew kept insisting ways to make my baby stop crying. Do you think I wanted to hear my child in that much pain? No, of course not. One male crew member told me to take my child to the back of thr aircraft (away from the complaining man). Ummm... I paid for my seat just like everyone else!! To be treated differently just because my baby is crying is HORRIBLE. To top it off, the seats are the worst I've ever sat in. My back and butt were in so much pain from those horrible seats. Bottom line- I will NEVER fly with this airline again after the mistreatment my baby and I received. This airline puts Korean speaking men above anyone else's needs, including a helpless 14 month old who feels horrible and doesn't know how else to communicate pain. I'll add that we were on a 10 hour flight after a 9 hour layover in Incheon and a 4 hour plane ride that was DELAYED from 1:45AM to 3:45AM. We were extremely tired and had been through so much already. If the crew had been more protective of us and understanding to the fact that he's a BABY I would have let the complaints slide. Last note- this airline delayed us 3 separate times. Yes.. 3 separate occasions. Do I need to say anything more?"
Pros: "Kind and professional service."
Cons: "Food I like to have was run out so I had to eat whatever available."
Pros: "well the pilot did a great job. we landed safely to manila. food serve taste good, and the flight attendant from chicago to manila, did a great job2.im thankful for overall service."
Cons: "I hate when my baggage is damage during my flight and no one i reach, easily. the asiana airline in Manila told me last dec. 11/12 2017, they will call me back at 10am but no one did. until now the number cant be reach.i paid for insurance if something happen to my bag worth $300 to be paid me back if my baggage damage but the asiana staff in Manila ask me f ok if they pay me only$80. i said ok. because i need it soon. but look like they dont care to give me. so i change my mind. the bag i bought cost $150 this year i bought it. need to be paid same. thanks"
Pros: "Service"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Food"
Pros: "Asiana solved a boarding issue with my friend missing his flight. Not only did they get a flight for him that day, it was also free of charge. They went above and beyond for him. Amazing service."
Cons: "The airplane temperature was too hot. Along with my seat mates, I felt like I was in a 13 hour sauna. That being said, airplanes are known to be dry. I would have liked a complimentary large water bottle and/ or personal fan to combat how uncomfortable the experience was."
Cons: "It was very hot in the cabin. We were told that it was airline policy to keep the cabin that temperature. There is no way to adjust the temperature yourself. Also the chicken entrees should be avoided. If given the option chose the Korean meal."
Pros: "Food was nice. Especially, Bulgogi? korean special rice ball was not just a food, but also gave us experience of mixing to make it. Crew gave me smile always."
Cons: "Entertainment was poor. It maybe caused by airplane model."
Cons: "... 3) Upon landing in ICN, a connections Asiana staff, instead of an apology, shouted "Hurry up, you are late". I was not late; Their plane was late! 4) In ICN, the connection flight was also delayed by half an hour. We arrived so late that I missed the last airport limo bus & was forced to arrange alternate, more expensive, transport to my lodging accommodations. 5) while in ICN, I experienced the same Curt conduct from Asiana staff!"
Pros: "The food and service were very good. Each of the crewmembers I encountered was professional, courteous, and friendly. I also enjoyed the food, and for the first time in my life I think I said "no thank you, that's enough"!"
Cons: "first, although this was an international trip , in business class, the seats were more like something you would find in the premium economy section of other airlines. They were tired and outdated. Second, The entertainment package was abysmal. Basically, you were forced to watch a TV with bad reception, and no ability to choose what you wanted to see other than flipping through the channels and seeing what was already on. That meant never seeing the beginning of a movie. The picture quality was very poor. Although an international flight of seven hours duration, it felt more like a charter bus to Vegas buy a discount operator. I have the exact same experience flying from Korea to San Francisco on a prior trip. If I could learn how to determine which aircraft I would be flying in the future, I would never book an international trip on Asiana knowing that this particular aircraft would convey me."
Pros: "Between the legs of my Asiana flights, I had a 9-hour overlay at INC. Upstair in the same area with the pricey and exclusive lounges for elite travelers, there was a "Nap Space" or "Nap Place: a large suite of rooms with maybe sixty comfortable couches to catch up on missing sleep... with no sign-up required and no supervisory staff. And totally free of charge! Every airport should consider having such a welcomed service. Also at INC, bona-fide transit passengers with a outbound boarding pass can take a free shower (soap and towels provided as well?). Wow. These amenities surely make INC one of the least loathsome airports in Asia at which a day-long layover may be spent."
Cons: "No downside!"
Cons: "This was tough Journey. We though we got window seat, but it was not. We wanted to switch our seats because there were some seats who were opened all thru the flight. With all the respect, I asked crew member if we can change the seats, she said no. I said we are willing to pay more, she said no. NO ONE was sitting on those seats from Seoul to Delhi. Second, lay over from 2 1/2 hrs. became 5 1/2 hr. After all the wait, we did not even get the change the seats. I did not expect this form Asiana. This was very disappointing."
Pros: "The crew on this leg were phenomenal. They were very proactive and friendly, and were always smiling and happy to help. Upon boarding, a family had taken over my seat and row, moving themselves without asking and displacing all 3 of us in that row. The crew quickly found a solution where everyone got a seat they desired, even with a completely full flight. The food and entertainment were excellent, with a decent variety of movies and TV shows."
Cons: "When boarding, there is just one huge line with the entire flight lined up. Myself and a few other passengers just waited around the gate area until final call and then boarded, avoiding having to stand in the line that stretched to the next gate. Legroom was decent enough for a 5 hour flight. Asiana flights seem to be in no hurry to depart on time, although they usually arrive on time. We boarded on time, but my flight left the gate an hour late. However, we arrived to PNH ~15 minutes early, so that made up for the delay."
Pros: "My flight: hanoi --->Incheon----> Chicago (Asiana) Chicgao---> GSP Origination flight in Hanoi to Incheon, agent failed to indicate that I had a final connecting flight from Chicago to GSP, SC. Flight from Incheon to Chicago departed nearly an hour after scheduled departure. --- resulted in me missing my next flight. Scrambled to reschedule my next earliest flight out of chicago. --- I advise Asiana ground agent about my situation and agent couldnt do anything for me! No hotel? Or apologize? Was very upset. It was a 14 hour flight and past 10 pm, I was tired. Asiana could have booked a hotel night but they chose not to. Lack of accountability and service! United at least rebooked me for their next morning flight. Charged extra for my carryon"
Cons: "Boarding seemed to have taken longer than usual. Plane departed nearly an hour from scheduled time."
Pros: "I am on the plus size and I always have a hard time choosing an airline that would be comfortable for my size. Its was my first time to fly with Asiana and I was so impressed with how generous their seat space is."
Cons: "Food is not the great"
Pros: "The price: my round trip ticket from Tokyo Haneda to JFK was only 850USD The layover is only 2 hours which is bearable and enough time to find the boarding gate and a little shopping."
Cons: "Everything else. You can check-in online within 48 hrs before your flight, but there is no QR code produced on their app for paperless check-in. The food was terrible, and the seats were not made for long flights. I really felt the "economy" vibe. They only provide disposable slippers, but everything else you need to check the lavatories if there were toothbrushes or mouthwash packets left. Overall, I will still consider flying this airline for any emergency flight back to the US, but if there will be a compeittive airline, maybe i'd try another. Their business class seem enticing.. maybe comsoder it too."
Pros: "They were nice about my bags. The airport was good. They took me to Paris."
Cons: "They just gave me two choices for food without any description; both times I got the lesser of two meals. The staff got a little testy when I didn't know what they were offering."
Cons: "1. The stewards were not friendly, especially she kept on forgetting to give me food since I was unfortunately sitting by the window next to 2 big men in the middle and aisle seats. 2. In LA while getting my luggages from the caroussel, I asked the porters 3 times to help me lift, but they ignored me and just attended to the ones with wheelchairs. Even if I'm not in a wheelchair, I am a seniour, and there are aches already in my body here and there. So that day, my back was aching til the following day. Lesson learned, other airlines are much much better than Asiana when it comes to treatment given to seniours. My first time to try, maybe the last."
Cons: "This previous was delayed because they sold their empty seats to other airlines and allowed for those people to make it. However, those who had connecting flights weren't able to make it and had to stay overnight in Korea. The next flight arrived 14 hours after the original scheduled flight."
Cons: "flight delayed again out of Seoul."
Pros: "I like flying Asiana! Clean, they have built in entertainment screens, and friendly staff."
Cons: "The only thing I found confusing was I requested a Hindu vegetarian meal. For some reason, part of my meal had chicken... luckily, had dinner before boarding the plane so wasn't an issue."
Pros: "Food was delish (esp the Korean options), and crew was very courteous. The plane going to our destination had an updated online entertainment system -- touch screen worked w/o too much effort and the control was an easy reach from in front of you but I can't say the same for the flight back which i think is an older plane."
Cons: "I was getting sick and had fever the day i was going to fly back home. I was contemplating moving my flight but wanted to know if I could do it without getting charged (say if I had a doctor's note from the hospital) or at least how much I would have to pay... I didn't get to ask at all because (1) it was hard for me to find the correct customer service to call and (2) when I reached it, I was asked to call again as services were busy. I ended up taking the flight sick because I didn't want to rack up extra charges. Also, I find the seats pressing on to my thighs if my legs are in a relaxed position (meaning not trying to keep my knees together as if I was in a job interview). I've had to put a blanket or pillow between me and the armrests so they wouldn't hurt. Some airplanes have thinner more streamlined armrests and those have made some of my other travels more comfortable."
Pros: "The flight attendants are nice and service is excellent."
Cons: "The planes are old, have no wifi, and poor entertainment. But worst of all the seats SUCK! I had a window seat and there was a metal box in the foot space! A 10 hour flight with no place to put my feet or legs. The seat was cramped and unbearable. I noticed every window seat has this box. This should never be designed for a transatlantic flight. I will NEVER fly them again. The food was pretty nasty too. Rubbery chicken and the omelet was gross at breakfast. The check in process was terrible. Everyone just files in line, no order to boarding people."
Pros: "Everyone was so personable. We had 4 adults , 2 boys and a baby girl so it was hard to get everyone situated but with the staff on the plane it was just simplicity. All of our needs were met , wether it was someone wanting an extra blanket or the baby needing food or even helping the 2 boys get situated before and after take off . They apparently love babies because they couldn't get enough of ours and were always wanting to play with her and make her smile (which goes along way) and that helped her not feel so groggy on the plane . They know it's a long flight so they get you comfortable even down to giving you slippers and great tasting food."
Cons: "The only thing I didn't like was the long flight but that's not the staffs fault, it was inevitable if your flying halfway across the world . the plane had 12 inch touch screen tv with music, movies, games , news , kids entertainment and even how to learn Korean so it it was very helpful in keeping you entertained throughout the plane ride ."
Pros: "As expected, the crews' service were good. Comfortable seats and nice meals."
Cons: "On the way back to Singapore, there was no entertainment in each seat. Didn't expect this and never experience from my previous flight with Asiana. There was the main screen in the centre but I can't choose and the lights were on all the way when I tried to sleep. Disappointed that they didn't inform in advance. People expect Asiana as same as SQ which provides full of new equipment such as personal screen on each seat."
Cons: "No vegetarian food."
Pros: "Asiana staff are not trained in medical issues such as what to do when a passenger complains they are feeling weak from low blood sugar/hypoglycemia conditions. It is common for people with low blood sugar to have blood sugar drops while flying. The condition is dangerous if not handled properly but can be remedied very easily by simply increasing a passenger's intake of protein (such as chicken or beef) and carbohydrates, such as rice (but not white bread or deserts, as those cause spikes and drops in blood sugar). Basically, you only need an extra meal. I told a crew member about my condition and said I simply needed a second meal. She gave me a problem about it and at first refused. She understood the English words low blood sugar, but she was obviously not trained in that common issue. I was ready to pass out due to a drop in blood sugar and only when I threatened to file a lawsuit in a U.S. court against Asiana (as I anticipated passing out) did she react. Within a few seconds after I mentioned a potential lawsuit, she got me a second meal of chicken and rice. I ate it and the protein and carbs stabilized my blood sugar for the rest of the flight. It's a problem easily remedied but I had to argue with the flight attendant to grant my very simple but very necessary request. Asiana needs to comply with the norms of global carriers and train its staff to understand such comment conditions as low blood sugar. U.S. and European carrier understand this condition very well, and their crews are trained in how to handle it by simply giving extra food. Asiana needs to comply with modern, global norms."
Cons: "If you have low blood sugar dont take Asiana. Crew not trained in this simple medical issue."
Pros: "Again, Asiana offers very good and efficient service for the money. Overall I would definitely fly them again and recommend them to anyone who asked."
Cons: "My only complaint is that the cabin staff were often not visible for hours at a time. On my flight from LA to Seoul, the crew was constantly in the aisles offering water and juice without being summoned by passengers. There were a few times when I wished that someone would come by with water or juice, but didn't want to press the call button to get them. Lunch options as we neared LAX were both Asian style, and a middle-ground option would have been appreciated. On the outbound flight to Seoul we had breakfast options that included pancakes."
Pros: "Clean bathroom, well maintain during flight unlike some airlines 5 stars for that"
Cons: "Chicken was grilled marked than steam result tuff rubbery. Hostess refused to exchange it with beef saying thete eas no more on the spot, not even asking others waitresses from different raw, while later on when everyone wad sleeping I went to asked for water and there you go. She ead eating the beef from economic class and a dish from first class. I always thought that customers are valuable because we pay their salaries?! Very desapointed from this hotess from the Philli. Who during the who flight treat me like dirt, maybe she hates Americain? Also most of movies are children oriented only a few for mature minds and they are over a year old. First time on Asiana and last time even been a star alliance member what a disappointment!"
Pros: "Crew members were helpful and nice."
Cons: "1.Flight Network said that the transaction was in US dollars. Therefore there shouldn't have been a currency exchange fee from my US bank. However, Flight Network charged Canadian dollars, so my US bank charged me a 3% exchange fee and the Canadian bank charged me another $8 fee resulting in a combined $32 extra to the price.of my ticket. Flight Network was not honest about the currency of the transaction. Kayak should require that Flight Network and any other vendors be honest about the currency of the transaction. 2. The extra 5 hours of layover at Incheon Airport was a total drag. It caused me to miss my connecting flight from LAX to Mexico City, so by the time I got into Mexico City there were no more buses running to Queretaro. I had to book a room in Mexico City at an additional expense and pay for taxi fare that I would not have needed if Asiana Airlines hadn't added 5 extra hours of layover to my trip."
Pros: "From Seoul, the staff were all quick and prompt."
Cons: "JFK Front desk clerk( she seemed to be an indian or Latin Indian) were so rude and she looked to have no idea for her job. Sorry to grade for " Boarding, Mediocore" Nevertheless, the girl made us too confused. our departure to HK thru Seoul, she gave us boarding pass only to Seoul and my husband uses a cane due to leg pain. ( he can not bend his leg properly). I asked her to give a front seat. She simply ignored my request. At least, she should better say yes or no! However, other staffs helped us!"
Pros: "The configuration of two seats on the sides convenient when flying with a partner."
Cons: "Service effecient but lack warmth. Food choice limited, no vegeterian option ."
Pros: "Great crew and comfortable flight"
Cons: "Delayed for several hours after boarding because of a technical difficulty with the airplane. This delay caused me to miss an important dinner meeting in Thailand and cost me extra money to arrange transportation from the BKK to my hotel."
Cons: "No drinks except for water were served. It was terrible."
Cons: "I wad so confused. I wonder Why your call centers registered in korea, china and u.s in lost service always? Instead of me, a hotel manager talked with call center after so many trying. But just told her it was my fault and you cut the call. I think your customer service team helped me more proper and instantly. But I was so sorry because your team just tell me to cancel and to rereserv again. Of course It was one of the solution I agree. If I buy the other ticket. I can get a boarding pass with my name is on it with rightly wrritten. Beyond reponsibility, please think about my side in china. I hope you check about my comment and to think about your attitude. To consider your side, Just send you message individually. Thanks"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Kayak really dropped the ball and I have lost the entire cost of the tickets AND the travel insurance which didn't do anything. What a waste!"
Pros: "Service is excellent as always"
Cons: "Food could be better"
Pros: "The crew was nice and reply promptly. They provide water/juice and snacks several times besides the main meals."
Cons: "It was confusing to do online checking because I couldn't check in on Vietnam airline website. The airplane was old and had bad smells."
Pros: "It was a two and a half hour flight and even in economy they served a full lunch with drinks included and tea and coffee service after. And they were so efficient!"
Cons: "No complaints at all, it was a great flight experience."
Pros: "Great Food, good customer service, quick boarding/deplaning, and the return trip from MNL to TPE was almost top notch."
Cons: "My entertainment screen was not working nor could the crew get it to work."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Bad food and bad FA"
Pros: "Friendly crew. Good entertainment options."
Pros: "The Flight was awesome in all aspects, And the Seats were exceptionally comfortable"
Pros: "The staff was very nice and allowed me to change my seat to be near the door as I had a connecting flight fairly soon after arriving in Manila. This flight was very comfortable and excellent."
Cons: "There was no movie but that is Ok. I just read"
Pros: "Large screen, plenty toilets, good leg room, kind stewardess, great handicap assistants"
Cons: "Food can be better"
Pros: "The movies and food"
Cons: "I was seated at the exit seats next to the wall. I feel the seat was more small there. My body hurt so much."
Pros: "The Ontario terminal location is much more convenient and faster than LAX."
Pros: "All my family wanted to have chicken flavor ,but we all got the wrong one"
Pros: "They used a new aircraft. From Jakarta to Taipei was the worst, they used an old aircraft."
Cons: "They do not have additional new movie on board. The movies are remain the same when I flew from Honolulu to Taipei in April 2018."
Pros: "Very clean and on time"
Cons: "Legroom was tight. Much less than the sfo/Tiapie leg"
Cons: "Most terrifying flight I've ever been on."
Pros: "Totally filled to capacity. Am 6 ft guy broad shoulders squeezed next to another guy bigger than me. Totally cramped in middle seat. Holiday season travel. I should know better. Most challenging flight in years."
Cons: "Totally cramped in."
Pros: "Movie choices"
Cons: "Staff treatment, food, cabin pressure was off, cold temperature, uncomfortable seats"
Cons: "Appreciate blankets and pillows provided as well as complimentary wine"
Pros: "The crew was very friendly and service was great on all China airlines."
Cons: "On this particular plane it was very uncomfortable. It was extremely noisy (the plane not people) and the exhaust was so strong it made me feel so sick, nauseous and from what I can tell others felt the same. This was the only plane that was like this of the four planes I took on this trip. The rest were excellent overall. Thank you."
Pros: "Airplane it's nice and entertainment too"
Cons: "Both flights were delay... Crew very rude and not helping when asked Food was very bad"
Pros: "Cabin and crew and ground staff are well mannered."
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Flight was fully booked and we had a tight connection, but everything went smoothly."
Pros: "same as above"
Cons: "same as above"
Pros: "60% full flight with empty seats New aricraft with better design"
Cons: "Landing time about 9pm local time"
Pros: "My seat was spacious while my wife's seat was up in the front and cramped."
Cons: "I don't understand what was going through the China Airlines check in agents mind when he never asked us where we wanted to sit and decided on his own to seat us 10 rows apart from each other? Very very disappointed."
Pros: "staff was nice, entertainment was good."
Cons: "food, my seat did not recline"
Pros: "They were very kind when I had to miss my first scheduled flight."
Pros: "All staff were really attentive and delivered an excellent service quickly and efficiently."
Pros: "The entertainment was excellent, there were so many choices to choose from, it made the long flight less stressful....The Boeing 777-300ER was smooth and quiet for a twin aisle plane of its size. Lavatory was clean most of the time"
Cons: "Even booking 3 months in advance, we could not select the seats. Our seats were assigned while checking in. Thus our family of 3 had to sit apart from each other."
Pros: "Most comfortable economy accommodations I've experienced: good food (!!), polite staff, free blankets/pillows, head phones, personal tv with extensive movie collection. Infinity better than AirAsia, which I flew the same route in reverse."
Pros: "They got us there. Good movie selection. Good wine"
Cons: "Normal Chinese airline seats are small and hard just lick setting on a rock. Didn't eat the food."
Pros: "Professional staff"
Pros: "Service of the staff. Not as attentive as I would have liked, but definitely wasn't horrible."
Cons: "Selection of entertainment was poor, comfort was horrible (may be my own fault as i'm tall, but i don't recall getting an option to pick a seat prior), and boarding could have been better."
Pros: "Connection flight on the way back was a bit late but we still made the connection just fine. The airplane was new. Nice seats and nice video system. The flight crew were very nice, professional and quite beautiful"
Cons: "The food was typical airline food which is not very good."
Pros: "I was very impressed with China Airlines. They were very professional. The plane was relatively spacious and clean. The food was good and no delays. Very nice."
Pros: "Had a nice flight back from Taipei to JFK on China Airlines in premium economy. Compared to economy, I was quite happy with the comfortable far-reclining seats and more than enough leg room. My one complaint is food. I'm a vegetarian and the veg options were awful...simply not acceptable. And giving passengers the full can of soda/beverage would be nice. Most adults drink more than a shot glass worth of soda or juice. Or at least fill the cup a bit more."
Pros: "Food presentation, and comfort. Wine"
Cons: "Could have used a bit more privacy"
Cons: "Couldn't hear any of the inflight entertainment. With volume turned all the way up it was still very silent!"
Pros: "I had a sudden swelling of my feet and ankles while flying to Asia.. China Airlines was very accommodating to me and had a wheel chair waiting for me at the gate... Never had this happen,,, So they were very helpful and considerate..."
Pros: "The crew was attentive and the flight was on time. The 20-minute delay was caused by traffic, but the flight duration was still on time."
Cons: "Waiting/Idle time would have been improved if the entertainment system was available from boarding to landing. The screens should be updated (they look pretty old) and a few more inches of leg room would be nice."
Pros: "The food was excellent, service equals any other airline I've flown on and better than most. The seats were comfortable and the entertainment selection was outstanding."
Cons: "I can't think of a thing that wasn't to my liking."
Pros: "The crew didn't nag that I can't watch a movie on my mobile, even during take off and landing. That's highly appreciated. I also could tallies my GoPro during the entire flight, no negative comments from the crew, unlike many other regional carriers here."
Cons: "The IFE screens are very small and dated. There are big IFE boxes under the seats limiting your feet real estate. Food was mediocre at best."
Pros: "Online was very strict in not discounting anything. There was room in Business class and I paid full price. Most airlines have a deep discount when searched a few days before the flight. So, that might fill the vacancies in business and make me a faithful passenger. The disability assistance was very good in Bangkok and Taipei. Disability assistance was horrible(wheelchair) assistance in SFO. I had NO assistance for 90 minutes to obtain a wheelchair while .d waiting to board my departure from SFO . The same was true but worse on the return to SFO. I was let off the plane LAST and the wheelchair was not there and I waited. The wheelchair person parked me outside the gate and said NOTHING and walked away. After 15 minutes waiting for his return, I went on my own and nearly passed out waiting in the horrible immigration line. It took 120 minutes from leaving the plane to getting in my car at the airport. Ridiculoius and a violation of Americans with Disabilities ACT."
Cons: "Already stated."
Pros: "My flight to Taipei was a positive experience. Premium economy was quite an act of kindness to oneself. The seats were roomy and comfortable. Noise canceling headphones are worth the weight in gold. I would recommend the seat as worth the extra money."
Cons: "The food actually was surprisingly poor. The congee simply didn't deserve the title. Sludge perhaps would better suit it. The next meal was much better with the shrimp salad."
Pros: "Flight was short"
Cons: "The crew had the same problem as from LAX to TPE. A guy kept talking loud and the entire flight could hear him."
Pros: "Entertainment system and the interior of the plane cabin."
Cons: "Crammed seats and how one female flight attendant yelled at a passenger out of impatience."
Pros: "Good crew"
Cons: "No customer service people to talk to about seating. No one ever answer the telephone"
Pros: "Taipei is a nice airport to make connections through, with amenities on par with Seoul. Seemed much cleaner and more relaxed than other airports in the region that I've flown through in the past, such as Guangzhou or Hong Kong."
Cons: "Flight departed 25 minutes late, but Taipei is a nice airport to make connections through. Still had to go through security between arrival/departure gates, but lines were short at our time of night. Crew seemed a bit tired, since this seems to be the last leg of their shift before rotating out in BKK before the plane goes on to Amsterdam."
Pros: "This flight was great and the attendants were very good and professional...awesome time..."
