On my short flight from Basel to Amsterdam, a young French speaking girl was concerned about how to manage getting to her next gate. The flight attendants talked to her and arranged for someone to take her there. On my longer flight from Amsterdam to New York City, there was a customer who was in distress about missing a previous flight and not making it to her connecting flight in New York. One of the flight attendants reassured her until she stopped crying and calmed down. That same flight attendant was always so positive and cheerful in all she did. The rest of the crew was top notch. This was my best experience flying in such a long time. Well done, KLM crews of flights 1984 and 0645 on July 10!"

Being given a 10 Euro voucher for food at the airport when most food and a drink will cost you 12 to 15 euros."

Never made it to the hotel until 1:30am, had to get up at 5:30am, go back to the airport, check our baggage, go through security and customs which the lines were extremely long and get on a 9:30am flight. Horrible!!!!!"

Cons: "I am filing a complaint with regard to my recent flight on Dec 31, 2016 from Barcelona (BCN) back to San Francisco, US (SFO) on Air Canada, with a connection in Toronto, Canada (Flight # AC1915 and AC739). My wife and I were denied boarding at Barcelona because we did not have an ETA to visit Canada. However, we actually qualify for the Transit Without Visa Program, allowing us to transit through Canada to the US without an ETA. Please see below. My wife and I arrived at BCN airport in Barcelona before 11 am, more than 3 hours prior to the departure time of 2 pm for flight AC1915 to Toronto. Please see the attached bus ticket as proof, indicating we boarded the bus at 10:30 am at Barcelona city center. This is more than enough time for check-in processes. I knew about the ETA requirement prior to travel. However, I also knew that, as a Taiwanese national, we qualify for the Transit Without Visa program, allowing us to transit through Canada to the US without an ETA. The Canadian Government website states that: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas-all.asp#eta-exemptions “The following persons are exempt from the eTA requirement: • Foreign nationals seeking to transit through Canada under Transit Without Visa or China Transit Program.” Furthermore, also on the Canadian Government website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/ENGLISH/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1092&top=16 “Travellers whose planes refuel in Canada going to and from the United States, as well as participants in the China Transit Program and Transit Without Visa Program, do not need to have an eTA or a visa to transit Canada.” We qualify for the Transit Without Visa Program because according to the Canadian Government website: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/twov/travellers.asp • We are citizens of Taiwan • We hold valid Taiwanese passports (please see attached passport photo) • We hold valid US visas (please see attached green card photo) • We are traveling to Canada on an approved airline: Air Canada Rouge • We transit through an approved Canadian airport (Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, terminal 1, without a change of terminal between flights) • We hold a confirmed onward ticket to the US the same day (AC739 to San Francisco, departing at 6:55 pm the same day) • We arrive during operating hours for the US in-transit pre-clearance facility. During check-in, we were told that we needed an ETA and denied us boarding. I tried explaining to the supervisor on duty that day that an ETA is actually not required for us since we qualify for Transit Without Visa, using the arguments I presented above in this letter, as well as showing him the websites from the Canadian Government. However, the supervisor insisted that we needed an ETA, citing the general policy that Taiwanese citizens require ETA to visit Canada. What he did not realize was that we satisfy a very unique case that did NOT require an ETA."

Announcements were difficult to hear in the terminal; there was a step requiring all passengers to queue up as if boarding but instead it was a passport/boarding pass check. The two queues were not labeled, there was much line-switching, and the passport-check lines blocked the terminal for travelers for other flights... The incoming plane was late; we wondered why this passport check could not have proceeded while we waited instead of delaying our boarding once our plane arrived."

Despite the fact that she could see my name and my husbands name on the screen for the flight. We informed her that we had attempted to check in online three times but we're not allowed to. I believe it had something to do with checked baggage. After demanding to speak to someone in charge- we were told that the airport supervisor needed to be told by air canada directly to reopen the flight to allow us on. At this time my husband has been on hold ( an international call- seeing as we were on an island) for nearly 30 minutes- finially someone picked up and essentially told us that there was no way for air canada to do that and in fact it was the arriving airline that we should be communucating with. At this point- we hung up. Fearing that we would be stuck there- although the plane had still not departed- but since the supervisor of the airport never physically appeared so that we could discuss the issue in person- I went to another airline , American, to try to find and pay for, mind you, another way to get my husband and myself home. After spending another $1500 to do so- we boarded the American flight and actually made it home before our scheduled time had we been allowed to board the air canada flight. Honestly- I'm not sure if it was air canada or the airport... But I do know that my husband and I will never fly air canada or honestly- I have no desire to go back to the airport where this incident happened- which is sad because I like to contribute to the tourism economy of small island countries... But this one is no longer in my list."

Pros: "- At Rome FCO, one of the Air Canada representatives pulled out of the line to get us into the business class check-in line since we had 2 kids - we totally loved this focus on families and respect the attention to detail! - The flight from FCO to YYZ was awesome! great food, great service, constant flow of drinks and the dessert was awesome! my kids are picky eaters and even they enjoyed the food - Movie and entertainment selection was awesome - Lastly, appreciated the prompt service for getting child stroller at the door of the aircraft at all times (from FCO-YYZ-PDX)"
Cons: "- The new designed aircraft are meant to pack more passengers which means the aisle for rolling the trolley is very narrow - poor flight attendants were having a challenge and bumping trolley into seats (not their fault at all) - given likelihood of injuries and lawsuits, I highly recommend AIR CANADA management to do something about this narrow aisle before it is too late (i.e. major lawsuit filed by future passenger on account of injury sustained because of getting hurt by food trolley)"

Cons: "Flight departing Toronto to Amsterdam was cancelled without adequate compensation. Flight was supposed to depart at 8:45. Was delayed repeatedly then cancelled at 11pm. Air canada wasn't able to get us a hotel voucher until 1:45 am and hotel check in at 2 am. Complete disruption of travel plans. Customer service at Toronto airport was terrible."

Pros: "Everything was as expected from a flight."
Cons: "1. The seats were tiny. 2. I almost had to check my carryon - even though it was the right size. 3. Your television and movie selections should be more diverse with diverse characters. All the lead characters in all the shows appeared the same skin color. Mix it up. 4. The driver/pilot appeared to slam on brakes after he landed. Perhaps he was afraid to pass up his gate. It was crazy scary."

Pros: "The aircraft was very new and the food was good for airline food and they had vegetarian options."
Cons: "The boarding process was very unorganized. Roughly 20 people were not assigned seats and had to receive their seats at the gate. However when we all stood in line, the crew did not help anyone but talked with one another and then only one helped for about two minutes before disappearing. I was second in line and I stood there for over 30 minutes. Then once we boarded the flight, the crew was very rude when speaking to customers. Overall the crew was very unorganized and extremely rude."

Pros: "I liked the service. I dont like flying much but the stewdardes made me feel comfortable so it was a good flight"

Cons: "I bought the tickets two months in advance, but they put us on standby list when we got to the airport. They over sold. I couldn't believe that. We were told that we should have paid to choose our seats!!!"

Pros: "The flight crew were very efficient and pleasant."
Cons: "The entertainment was quite limited if you didn't download the Canada Air App before boarding. I got a bit of a shock when I sat down and found myself looking at the back of a seat. No entertainment for a transatlantic flight? Shocking. If you had an iPad you could log into their wifi and watch limited tv programs. Movies could only be viewed through their app. The seating was quite cramped too! I'm average height and foknd that the leg space was v limited!"

Pros: "Comfortable seats in bulkhead, large overhead cabin space, friendly staff, lots of water offered"
Cons: "No extra blankets available. Would have preferred more Asian cuisine on HK/Toronto flight. Staff too busy with full economy cabin, so not responsive when pressed call button. Movie and TV selection not as extensive as Cathay, though kids same games much better."

Cons: "Uncomfortable airplane. Old."

Pros: "Great cabin crew smooth take off landing and little turbulence . Also having in flight entertainment"
Cons: "Having to make a connection rather have a direct flight from Zurich to Philadelphia"

Cons: "Flight was cancelled. I had to rerouted through New York and missed connecting flights"

Pros: "Crew was sensitive to the demands of passengers. They were maintaining good amount of hygiene. I didn't get food when I was asleep, but, when I told about it, they quickly got me the food."
