NEEDLESS TO SAY WE MISSED THAT FLIGHT. WE WERE BOOKED ON A LATER FLIGHT WITH UNITED. THIS CREATED MORE PROBLEMS THAN I HAVE SPACE TO WRITE. I AM 70 YEARS OLD AND HANDICAPPED. YOUR INCOMPETENCE CAUSED MY WIFE AND I NUMEROUS PROBLEMS I WILL NEVER FLY YOUR AIRLINE AGAIN. I KNOW THIS WILL FALL ON DEAF EARS. I WOULD APPRECIATE A RESPONSE."

Pros: "With German precision the crew worked the area. When I started to feel hungry they came with food. When I was getting thirsty, they delivered beverages. Overall, I liked Lufthansa and I would recommend them to others."

Cons: "I didn't like the fact that because the flight from Bradley to Toronto was late I almost missed my Tokyo flight.. It would not have been such a big deal if I wasn't going all the way to-Tokyo. And had to go through customs. The commuter plane was delayed getting to Bradley. I got to Toronto, and again we had to wait on the tarmac. They knew we were coming and were late as it was. Canadian air also knew I had to catch a flight to Tokyo. I thought my connection times were to close and I was right. No one told me that I had to go through international customs. So, I was in the wrong place.When I made that discovery I literally ran to customs and asked to cut in line. Again I ran to get to the gate. They were boarding when I arrived. Why I say did you put me through all that when it was avoidable? Then on the way back after a 14 hour flight I had a 6 hour delay to get back to Hartford. Why was that I ask? The same thing happened last year. And you didn t fix it yet? Nightmare. And lets not even talk about the food on the plane. I make sure I eat before the flight if I have time.In this case there was no time. I also had to change flight dates. I was on the phone for 1.5 hours on hold. Only to be told that I was calling the wrong place. So, that's my Air Canada experience. Some sort of cash or check rebate should be in order. Not a voucher to fly with them again."

Cons: "When we checked our baggage in Washington, D.C., we were told we would not see our bags until we arrived in Hiroshima. That turned out to be misinformation. When we arrived in Tokyo, we were told we would have to pick up our bags at baggage claim and take them to our connecting flight area. We only had 1 3/4 hours between flights and it took us over an hour just to get our bags. By the time we got our bags and got to the drop off point for the connecting flight, it was way past the time when they stopped accepting bags for the connecting flight. This caused us a lot of stress. We are not seasoned travelers, we were traveling in a foreign country with a language we are unfamiliar with, and are elderly. We got into 2 wrong lines before a fellow traveler with the same situation helped us. She spoke Japanese and was able to put us in contact with someone who could help us. We were fortunate to get a flight an hour later to our final destination. Now we worry about the return trip having a similar problem."

Pros: "The flight had good entertainment, decent food, good service, and it left on time. I've never been really impressed with Air Canada but they provide great value for the money as they have sort of become the budget airline of international travel without having a true "budget airline feel." I'll take a good flight to Tokyo with Air Canada for $1100 over an excellent flight to Tokyo for $1500 or $1600, or maybe more. I also like the option of having a long layover in Toronto or Montreal with Air Canada, as these are good cities to spend a few hours in. On the flight back from Tokyo, I had a nice layover in Toronto that lasted almost a day."

This only happened on the return flight but it was enough to create anxiety and make you wonder when it's going to come back on. Airline food is hardly ever much but it's pretty dull on Air Canada. It's not a bad idea to bring some of your own food and alcohol onto an Air Canada flight. The service was good but the stewards don't seem to enjoy their job as much as on some other airlines."

Cons: "We upgraded to the bulk-head seats for the long 12-hour flight. The seat I had (second from the aisle) had the bolted framework (where the computer screen tucked into) sticking out. Since I'm short, this really interfered with my left leg room. On a normal flight, this probably wouldn't have even mattered, but since it was a 12-hour+ flight, and I paid an extra $120 to upgrade to that seat, it was a little disappointing. But, again, a small complaint to the great service we received."

A kind passanger assisted me. This was even more annoying as I had to pay $25:00 + tax for my case."

Pros: "Almost everything, from check-in, to boarding, the crew, comfort, food and entertainment were great. Was able to easily check-in from my mobile. Boarding was one hour early and gave everyone enough time (due to this, we left early about 15 minutes before actual departure time and arrived even earlier at about 40 minutes before actual arrival time). Whole crew was friendly except for one (see my other comments). Seats were comfortable and roomier compared to other airlines. Food was perfect. Did not feel hungry or bloated. Entertainment choices provided tons of movie and TV shows to choose from. Even the customs procedure at Toronto was very easy. I would fly Air Canada again to and from Tokyo. Thank you."
Cons: "My flight was almost perfect except for one snafu. There was one flight attendant who gave me a broken plastic glass when I asked for apple juice. The juice was flowing out so fast that my aisle seatmate got drenched. He never offered any apologies and when my seatmate and I both asked for some extra napkins, he looked at us very rudely. It was a surprise as rest of the crew were very nice that I regret never getting his name to report here."

Cons: "Nothing wrong with the flight, but security and customs at Lester b Pearson was an inefficient and an unpleasantly long experience. Had to show passport and/or boarding pass half a dozen times at different stations. Many of the stations were within sight of each other, so...why? It was a nightmare and it took over an hour. This applies to coming back to the U.S. The process while going through Canada was fine. While I would fly with Air Canada again, I will be avoiding that airport on my next trip."

Cons: "Because of snowstorm, my original flight was cancelled. Air Canada put me on the following day's United flight which was also cancelled. Afterall, I arrived 24 hrs late. They couldn't control bad weather, I understand, What I don't get is both Air Canada and United put us on hold for nearly three hours. The wait was so bad we were using three phones. By the time we could reschedule our flights, we spent four hours on phone. United's attitude was worse than Air Canada. Hire more staff to take calls, for god's sake. Food is bad. The audio has no classic channel. The wait at YYZ was 6 and half hours. Too long."

Cons: "The movie and music options were pretty dismal. Not many options overall, and of the options, only a few new movies that were actually good or award winners. One really huge drawback was the lack of window shades. The flight attendants came around with sticky panels to adhere to the windows to keep out the light, but they didn't stay at all and kept falling off and the light would jolt you awake. One woman behind me was extremely vocal in her disapproval over the window shades (her complaining was almost worse than the blinding sun, but points out that one person's discomfort can affect many others)."

A two hour time between connecting flights is NOT enough at Haneda! Don't do it unless you at least three hours!!! Our friends followed us on the same route one week later. It cost them over $450 in hotel, shipping, and transportation because of it!"

We were in a remote part of the airport with little heat. I felt like a refuge trying to stay warm. Then we boarded the plane via walkiing on the tarmack onto a very cold un-warmed up plane. Brrrr- won' do that again."

Cons: "Air Canada staff in Boston did not seem to realize that Halifax was an hour ahead in a different time zone. Due to the delay in the Boston Halifax flight, which was known from the time we checked in almost three hours before the scheduled departure, we missed our flight to London. While Air Canada did put us up over night, they were difficult on the phone in planning an alternate route and did not get us out of Canada and to London until 24 hours after we were scheduled to arrive. This was very frustrating for us as we missed an important part of our trip."

Cons: "The front desk in Vancouver, Canada did not allow me to board the plane to Tokyo. I am supposed to attend the memorial service of my Mom who passed away two days before."

Cons: "I got two basic economy seats and no seat assignment until after other passengers had already started boarding. The gate agent showed up late so it was a hassle to get to the counter and find out where I was sitting. Then there was a long backup on the gang way, and we still couldn't get on the plane. We were delayed sitting on the tarmac for an extra hour, the crew could have given us drinks or snacks then."

Cons: "Air Canada sold the flight to United Airlines - and United moved the flight later and later and later. Six times. When this was combined with a weather delay, we ended up boarding at 11 PM and landing well after midnight. This is not what we signed up for and not what we wanted."

Cons: "No one could get their story straight and actually lied! I was sent a text (I was already at the airport) that the flight would be delayed due to "aircraft maintenance". Not true in the least bit. Then when we finally landed in Denver (nearly every person on that flight missed their connecting flights) we were told the system said the delay was "due to weather". Another lie. Then they announced there would be gate agents to meet us when we got off the plane to assist with connecting flights. First gate agent said "I have no information you have to go to gate 56". The person at gate 56 said "I don't open for another 15 minutes so you have to go to gate 39"! The real story? They made us change gates 5 times in Fargo! The gate attendant was using the "F-bomb"! It wasn't aircraft maintenance or the weather. They couldn't get the walkway to work! In the end, we still left from the original gate and had to walk outside on the tarmac to board the plane. Why didn't they just opt for that to begin with and avoid all the missed flights? My measly voucher isn't nearly enough compensation and if United ever expects me to fly with them again I am expecting a full refund (as other passengers received- I witnessed the manager in Denver authorize a full refund for another passenger but only offered me $50)"

Pros: "I was able to board early since I have a United MileagePlus Explorer card."
Cons: "The seats in economy has very limited legroom and the large and over weight Caucasian seating next to me frequently took the arm rest and cross over into my space. The airplane did not have individual monitors. And trying to watch a movie on my phone over United's wi-fi was a terrible experience since the signal keeps dropping."

Pros: "Much better flight from HOU-PTY. Crew was more friendly. Option to qatch free movies on my personal device is great."
Cons: "4 hour flight and only a small pouch of savory snacks and some mints! Leg room is very limited."

Pros: "ANA operates 787s which have much nicer cabins and entertainment systems than the older 777s operated by United."
Cons: "The food on United leg is pretty bad after an ANA operated flight. I'm always going to ask for the Vegeteraierain option going forward. Why waist an animal on that feed stuff they give you to eat."

Cons: "No leg room, seats uncomfortable and tiny. Wifi is expensive. Plane took off late due to a flight attendant being late. And now we're 40 late to put destination."

Pros: "I was very happy with the attendants. Very friendly and helpful. The crew was very professional and informative."

Cons: "One of the crew members was very mean towards some people I was sitting near. They were older and didn't realize that once we pushed off you had to remain in your seat and she came and told them they were breaking the law and would be arrested for standing up, in such a nasty tone they didn't say another word the whole flight. When we were offered something to drink they declined. I jumped out of my seat realized I forgot to ask where the bags were placed that were collected on the jet bridge and went back to ask if they were in baggage claim or not and she yelled at me for turning around and told me she could not speak me because I had exited the plane already."
