My luggage never arrived to my home destination. I wasn’t alerted that my luggage was never sent on the plane with me until I was one of the last people at baggage claim. Not only was my flight delayed 2.5 hours, my luggage never arrived with me on the plane. I now have no clothes in 30 degree weather No money. No clean underwear. And now worried about the expensive jewelry and ideas I had inside my bag not ever making it back to me. A better system should be made to contact the passenger while they are traveling so we have current info on our luggage. It is now 2am in the morning and I’m finally leaving the airport after waiting in a long line to place a claim on my bag. My flight was originally supposed to land at 11pm. I have work at 8am. This is not a pleasant way to enter into the new year.

Pros: "Rhe Alaskan staff was fabulous. They helped reschedule flights and connecting flights to get their customers as close as they could to get them to their final destinations on time. They showed patience and were extremely courteous."
Cons: "My flight was so delayed that I missed my doctor appointment for a pancreatic transplant. The smoke po ut of Canada got SeaTac so backed up that many flights were either sever ew ly delayed or cancelled altogether. I feel like I wasted not only my own but this world renowned doctor's time too. I wish the airline would have put out a warning hours before the flight's original departure."

They have been much better than my experience last week with united. I would very much recommend Alaska if you have the option."

So there were three different destinations, and I wasn't sure really what was going on. Due to "weather" (really, it had to have been something else, SF was perfect when we landed), we were routed to San Jose."

Even tho we paid to have seat next to each other we had to give them up, and my husband who just had major surgery on his hand was given an isle seat which was part of the reason we PAID to have seats next to each other and him in a middle seat

Extra precautions (testing a Ziploc bag of cookies and several chocolate bars for explosive materials) did not make me feel safer or less inconvenienced by the theatrics of security."
