Made up time on a late flight and made the connection

Overall, it was a good flight. My only quip- they made us check our carry on bags when there was plenty of overhead space left. My wife and I thought maybe the aircraft was really full, but that wasn’t the case. There were a number of open seats, and even more overhead compartments with no luggage. A minor annoyance, sure, but when we intentionally didn’t check luggage to make it easier, it was disappointing to have to do it anyways.

our Flight attendant Tina was great and she made such a difference in a very disappointing "First Class" experience. Seats weren't much larger than the ones in coach, there were NO FOOTRESTS, one of the reasons we paid a premium price for a 6 hour flight. The charger for the phones didn't work in our row so I had to plug it into the row behind us and there was no free wifi, so my wife and I paid for it and it was mediocre at best. Lastly there were no screens to watch movies, There was nothing 'first class" about this Alaska Airline experience , except for Tina! They just charged a lot more money for what on other airlines would qualify for the improved economy class. Very, very disappointed.

Easy fast check in, friendly and cordial crew. Comfortable seats

After a swift boarding we had to wait in the plane for over 40 minutes to take off. The same happened when we landed. Alaska had much more work to do on their timetable

The kiosk was fast. I got in and got my baggage tag right away. There was a long lines at baggaged check in But it moved fast and checked my baggage with no problem. The flight was good. The flight attendants were very helpful, friendly and always smiling.

I received the perfect seat. The cheese tray was delicious. Thank you!

The flight was fantastic. All the crew staff were wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and they went out of their way to help make it such an enjoyable flight! I think on such a long flight there should have been some food given. Even cheese and crackers and maybe some cookies!

Upgrading from premium class to first class caused me to almost miss my seat on the flight. The system “un checked me in”. So I not only lost my first class seat, but my premium seat too so I alsmot didn’t have a seat on the plane. The app did not let me know as it was showing my seat assignment all the way up until boarding began. This exact same thing happened to another passenger. And to top it off, I now have to jump through hoops to get my refund. Awful experience with Alaska, I don’t intend to fly with AA again unless there are no other options.

I like that we landed safely and that my dog was safe underneath as well. Outside of that, we were 45 mins late for a direct flight that is 1.5 hours long. And 2 of my 3 bags did not make the flight. Only my dog was onboard.

Service was okay except attendant over served alcohol to passenger and passenger got tipsy and made me uncomfortable

Could not make the flight. No one would help us at all

Decent entertainment although my wife was not offered any ear buds so couldn’t enjoy. Real issue was the appalling food. Presentation was unacceptable with cheap hard to open packaged bread, plastic cheese again in hard to open shrink wrap, main course in small cardboard box again hard to open, wooden utensils which lack substance making the whole experience poor. Surprised I didn’t cover myself or neighbour as the food moved all over the place. Breakfast calzone was dry and unappealing with the staff basically throwing them around. Very disappointed

The pricing was split into an ultra basic fare with a comfort seat upgrade. This is misleading. Never were we shown an ultra basic fare. What this did because the fare category was ultra basic we could not bid on an upgrade first class seat. All e mails from WestJet were for ultra basic category with my wife and I upset as we could not confirm this with anyone from your firm. The check in counter were not going to allow our carry on but after some checking saw we had ultra basic and a comfort seat upgrade. They could not figure out how this was done. Now we have to go through this again at the gate in Mexico. Unless I missed it - please let customers know the billing in future. Respectfully. Gary & Nancy Moughtin

I wasn’t checked in for the third leg of my flight, my bag was checked through to Dublin but when I went to the gate in Toronto they said I wasn’t on the flight and had given my seat away. I had to wait 24 hours for another flight and instead on the one I had booked it was now 2 flights.

The agents at the Kelowna YLW airport were really grumpy. Same with oversized baggage person. Staff on the plane were great.

The delays were never ending and we were never properly informed as to why. 1st and 2nd delay were handled well, but by the time we received our 7th delay, and then subsequently asked to willingly get bumped, it turned into one of the worst flying situations of my life. I didn’t get home until 2am which is roughly 5 hours later than originally planned.

Great flight, great landing, nice staff. Our seats were a little cramped.

No food, water, snacks.”beverages”. This was on Christmas Day. Upgrading cost $100, for what exactly?

Never flown with Air Canada before, but it's now a top choice! Loved it!

Horrible crew, horrible seats configuration, ridiculous space in the toilets, Air Canada is no longer a option.

Disappointing experience with the cabin crews on this Air Canada flight. Some crew members came across as quite rude, and one bumped into my arm without even acknowledging it or apologising. A little courtesy and kindness would have gone a long way. Air turbulence is understandable. Human turbulence from the crew, less so.

Crew at gate and onboard were just very OK, not very friendly and honestly seemed bothered to be there. I will give a shout out to still selling headphones for those who forgot.

Flight Boarded and departed on time. The Flight crew was very friendly and accommodating. The aircraft was clean and free from clutter and debris. I will be happy to recommend Air Canada to my friends and relatives for their flight needs. They were very attentive and responsive to our needs as Senior citizens.

We upgraded to business class. First time on Air Canada business class and they ran out of the better prawn dinner and we got chicken. Beds not as good as on Quantas

Everything. The crew was so friendly, helpful & smiled. We had an excellent flight getting in earlier.

Complimentary food options could be better. There should be a little wait between people boarding with children under 6 and the rest of the boarding. There isn’t enough time to get yourself situated before take off.

Very tight seats - no legroom at all, very tight to the person in front of you. If you have basic fare, you are loading zone 6 regardless of where you are sitting in the plane - meaning even as a middle aisle person at the front of the plane, I had to get people to get up and let me in as they had boarded earlier. Having to pay for a carry on is criminal. I am a frequent flyer, and air Canada has now joined the list of other terrible North American Airlines.

Boarding went smoothly and on time. No entertainment system and only a cookie for breakfast.
